I view the war stories for salt in terms of narration.
All the chapters are from the point of view of one of the characters and how its told (IE Lawrence in nothing is written or Clyde in FiHP). Now at the end of the pilot mission he says "After all I wouldn't tell a lie... would I?". This could be seen in a sense all the "stories" are exaggerated tales.
=== Storm of Steel ===
Storm of steel opens up with at the end "What follows is frontline combat. You are not expected to survive". And opens with the narrator (the unnamed Harlem Hellfighter) waking up from a bed to have a flashback of what happened during his battle (its unnamed, but it may not?) as his comrades and Germans engage in melee combat.
Which of course you don't, your first "playable character" is ordered to hold the line against a seemingly unending supply of german soldiers with a machine gun, As you mow down prob 5-10 you run out of ammo, resulting in you to hold the line with your pistol or getting a near empty rifle of your fallen comrades as german endlessly flank and surround you with rifles and flamethrowers. As the message says "you are not expected to survive" and if you somehow survive 1-3 minutes (its depending) you will get a welcome of artillery shells on your face... thus killing you.
The second playable character is in an shelled down church with a machine gun and is ordered to fire upon incoming germans with a machine gun... after say 10-30 secs you are then shelled and your machine gun is destroyed, you still survive and you pick up a shotgun with germans advancing on you with flamethrowers and such, you will most likely die due to the flamethrowers (if you live long enough, you just get shelled to death) and unending germans...
Third playable character is now the turret gunner of a Mark V landship as he is ordered to mow down germans left and right with a machine gun from his officer while he spouts "for crown and country lads" and after their lead tank is taken down, is ordered to silence a field gun, after he kills that field gun they then clear obstacles with one of the crewmen saying "were going to make it!"... only to have their dreams shattered as German artillery destroys their tanks from miles away...
The fourth player is armed with an SMG and is ordered to charge after putting his mask on due to a mustard gas strike (you cant take it off) and charges into the german line alongside his comrades... again against basically the kaisers finest and flamethrowers (I've had luck and basically got to the end only to be killed by a MG).
The fifth and final character is the narrator who is armed with a rifle and still advances... suddenly you are meleed in the back but saved by incoming artillery on your position... in the end it shows a cutscene of your character and a German soldier emerging from the dead body's with rifles pointed at each other, after the narrator starts speaking both of them, too tired put down their rifles.
What's interesting to note is that the names change every playthrough when you die, meaning your death could be an 18 year old to a 35 year old, arguably displaying the "young boys war". The names also change, you are no longer Captain Price and such, you are now just a regular soldier told to go and die for your country... In the end, the entire "chapter" (or Tutorial as I call it) displays the hopelessness of war, as your characters are shot, burned and recieving shells from unending numbers of the Kaisers finest without any real control of how the situation is changed, instead your a regular soldier who will eventually die with little to no gain of ground.
The ending is based on the idea that WW1 was a very awe full war in terms who was right and who was wrong in a sense.
===Through Mud and Blood===
===Friends in High Places===
=== Avanti Savoia ===
"Avanti Savoia" (Advance for Savoy, basically for king and country basically) has been criticized high hell and back due to the idea of a juggernaut like state where one man basically takes on the entire Austro-Hungarian army... however lets look at the narrative?
The story can be considered centered around survival guilt, Lucas is still suffering from the fact he lost his twin brother Matteo and never bothered to tell his daughter about it and it can be assumed this is way past the war. Lucas decides on this birthday to tell his daughter who is prob in her late teens about what happened that fateful day.
The narrative uses exaggeration to employ the plot (yes, the Arditi were prob the elites of the Italian army hense the name "daring ones"), most likely this is what his daughter is seeing WW1 and Lucas wants to prob hide the awe full story (lets face it, your already have a bad story and you wanna NOT spook your daughter with "my comrades disintegrated as Austro-Hungarian's shelled us")... So Lucas says his armor made him near invincible (While this maybe correct in some cases) but for all we know he could prob stormed up and still taking bullets and flanking, remember this his his narration and prob some exaggeration is to follow to make it seem like he was a hero in the eyes of his Daughter. For all we know he could of faced prob 3 squads (which is around 12-15 people) of Austrians and he still was getting hurt somewhat even despite the armor.
An other way to see this is the exaggeration of war: The missions are "O la vittoria, o tutti accoppati" (the Arditi motto: Either we win or we all die), the first part can be seen as in such how a young person joined the ranks of his army to serve his country and seeing the world and sec with the second part (We all die) being basically how the grim truth occurred as men had to come back with survival guilt, loss of friends, family and such. Something that Lucas had to deal with sadly... and many others do IRL.

She looks good in her school uniform, the lolita outfit, her astral outfit, and in lingerie. She's the best DAL grill.
WWII had a good run, but this whole future crap is usually pretty oversaturated unfortunately. I'd say exploring unexplored conflicts is the best solution.
Awww thanks! If you want, I can show you some pictures...
I would like to see the game explore a new front. We haven't seen a game based on the Korean War, which would be pretty interesting. Hell, if it was developed by Treyarch it could end up being a good prequel to Black Ops.
There's been a lot more bi people who are being open nowadays, though I haven't seen nearly as much people who are strictly gay. I'm sorry that your parents don't like the idea of that.
I generally like to wear skirts and dresses whenever I crossdress. I don't have my own lingerie at the moment.
Sounds pretty mediocre. Though while on the mention on FPS campaigns, I'm curious to see what the new COD will be like, which is kinda funny since the most recent one I played was BO II.
That's definitely better than nothing. I've noticed that gay dudes are usually a lot more pervy than straight guys. Also, you crossdress as well? So do I, actually.
I suppose so, but I can appreciate that Visceral made an honest effort to bring some fresh air, even if it didn't exactly succeed. BF3 tried to be like Call of Duty in regards to their campaign, but it ended up being very boring. At least COD has impressive explosions.
Have you ever tried to date a guy before? I'm open to the idea, but I'm not a really flirty person at the same time.
They should just hire someone else to do it. They tried hiring Visceral Games to do BF: Hardline, and the general consensus was that it was just every cop cliche in one go.
You should probably do so. Need any help finding one?
I don't make specific plans of Valentines day usually, but this year was an exception.
It just seems really weird that for BF3's campaign, DICE decided to copy COD's campaign formula of linear, scripted setpieces rather than do something unique or different.
I see. At the very least I managed to go get some work done and hang out with some friends of mine.
Excellent. Now you won't have to worry about it crashing on you. Did you like it better than the BF3 campaign? I haven't heard a lot of good things about BF3's campaign.

I still can't believe that IW had the guts to sell COD 4 as a bundle with IW for extra money. And THEN they added supply drops to MWR.
That would be kinda cool, maybe like Red Dawn a little?

Kurumi has some wonderful outfits I must say <3

I agree. This future crap has gotten kinda stale.
How much do you own?

Oh well. A guy can hope.
Makes me wonder why they even bothered to put 'em in.
