Hello! I'm coming from your Monster debate that I randomly found (sadly I don't understand Espanol, I just use a translator xp). I'm not sure about your level of English, so sorry.
I fully agree. The main difference is the audience. I personally never found Monster boring. It's pace was well planned. Also the final showdown of Monster was amazing if you ask me, it collected everything in one place both physically and plot wise.
Johan was neutral for me. Not a bad character, nor my new favorite. I just don't understand why his manipulation skills are so special. It seems like he simply tell people what they want to hear. So the trick is simply knowing their desires very well. It's not magic or anything.
"Never take a social course." Well, if you're going to have a family then I agree. I'm currently a student too and my roommate studies humanities. I wonder what will he do with it. (Actually he said he'll be able to choose a minor to complement it.)
