Wowaka's band Hitorie made an excellent cover https://open.spotify.com/track/6c96Lmub8B8yMH5v6MvakH.
Wowaka and Hachi (Kenshi Yonezu's Vocaloid name) seemed to have influenced each other and the vocaloid scene, you could check out matryoshka (https://open.spotify.com/track/74A5fPLR86U9XWYostkXwS), or really anything from that era since their influence was strong. Siinamota's Young Girl A has overlapping themes https://open.spotify.com/track/5sPKAEb7afrIMtdqEnI6H6
Could be too different, but I love the aggression in Utsu-P's Fools are attracted to anomaly https://open.spotify.com/track/2Y5gmaXUESf2wh9t3L49Mm. There is an impressive cover of Living Ghost is Alive by IVITS on youtube, completely changing the energy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjiCQVPSxLE
Ling Tosite Sigure fits the emo profile with sharp vocals, driven guitars and high tempo. My favourite is probably Telecastic Fake Show on the Just A moment album. https://open.spotify.com/track/7nX7T2GyB5rzkSOliO2Djm. Abnormalize is also fun if you want something more anime.
If you wanted more feminine pop but with interesting layered instrumentation, I can't recommend the band Tricot enough, I prefer their older works, Tobe on the T H E album may count. https://open.spotify.com/track/4yb8u8rdkpafKal7meoIPT
Could you elaborate more on what you like? Is it the distressed shrill, driven synced guitars, noisy layered instrumentation, loud electric lead, punchy bass? Im not sure if there's anythign EXACTLY like it, but you can find elements in a lot of 2000s J-rock (Search shimokita-kei, it screens out a lot of the anime pop-rock slop)
and Sengoku Rance is comfykino. but that goes for all the games; it's a very endearing series. i've been meaning to go back to the original canon before i tie it all up with X
i agree with Zetsu, although, the first playthrough's narrative is mostly disconnected from the prior games, so it's not all that bad. do enjoy
Love the series it's fun and has alot of charm.
I recommend guides for the games because you'll definitely need em
also, hello again
But yeaah, I might be a little obsessed with this franchise.
I see that you really like Hajime no Ippo and GTO, two shows that I really like as well. Maybe you'd like Hokuto no Ken, since it's also a very masculine, testosterone-filled show. The Big O is more sophisticated, but I think you might like that too. Big recommendation for Megalo Box, specially since you've already watched Ashita no Joe. Both seasons are great, specially S2
Hmmm, I don't remember interacting with the Berserk community at all. Could I get a link to it?
I don't really watch anime much anymore so those ratings might be skewed since they haven't been changed in years, but that's cool.
We also both hate Charlotte it seems lol, you gave it a 2 and I gave it a 3.
And you have a interesting manga in your about section, Holyland huh? Thanks for the inadvertent recommendation, I'll give it a read someday.
