Neither are anything to marvel at. Both are typical Shonen manga.
However, Ufotable is a Much better studio than MAPPA.
I’d say the source materials are about the same level. However, DS got a much better adaptation than JJK

Oh nice you liked the ending. I see you've watched blue period and gave it a 9, that's pretty cool. Blue period is an underrated gem imo. It didn't have the best production quality but it had god-tier writing. What about the series struck you?

Ah yes dramaturgy is a classic indeed. My personal favorites are Shinkai and Mayoigo. Any thoughts on the latest winter season of anime?

I hope so. Still baffled as to why it's as popular as it is. Aside from the animation which is stellar. But I'm enjoying the show regardless. Just not nearly as much as the majority.

I do realise that he has been following the manga page by page. The pacing problem in manga is not very noticeable because we are able to choose our own reading speed. But in anime, the problem become clearer as the fighting scene pace is vastly diff from flashback pace (especially with the fast beat music). Director park could consider rearranging, or even cut away manga scenes to make the flow more suitable for an anime adaptation. Following manga pages 100% is sometimes not a good thing. But yea, less flashback in later arc can possible solve this problem.

I’ve read the manga as well I think that because it’s manga I read through the flashbacks much quicker than the anime does so the story doesn’t feel as slow or the fights as broken up. I plan to keep watching the anime but I got especially frustrated, especially when Itadori was fighting Toudou at how the fight scenes are constantly segmented. I realise that they’re copying the manga perfectly but imo maybe they should have adapted the story to make a better watching experience.
