This would have been in my top 5 season of anime if it wasnt for the poor storytelling of the first half of the season.
EP 1-6 is a 4.5/10 , EP 7-12 9.5/10
I LOVE the premise of a robot learning how to be a human its my PB and J. Mira is a really cool character and concept but this season did a poor job of using her (hopefully they dig deep in later seasons).
Kyouma was lackluster for me until they started to develop him in the latter of the season in which this dark little caterpillars past blossoms out into a beautiful story.

I really really resonated with this anime for some odd reason. Though Some interactions between secondary characters are bland this is a very small area. Mikazuki, Orga, Atra, and Kudelia Are very strong characters and any time they are on screen you know you are going to get something Good.
Story 10/10 Story is an amazing look at child soldiers and wealth inequality, no only does it show the story of the protagonist effectively but it also shows the main antagonist Gjallarhorn side very well. From the bonds of the Warriors too the outsiders view on how these kids are acting in these situations everything is written and ...

The TLDR of my review is simply this The anime is a 22 episode anime that was condensed into 12 episodes.
The EP 1 to around 6-8 are very rushed, the storyline jumps all over the place, and since this is from a video game there tons of supporting characters (and each has a "twin" in the other universe so yea). That being said having just finished watching this last month (tail end of the anime) was Amazing and i really loved it. This might have happened because most anime have half the season for arcs but this anime really couldn't pull off that it ... |
