Helloooo not sure if I ever responded to your message but I had a very crazy time with school and work. I see you still have great taste with Mushishi. I rewatched this anime from 2010 called Baka and Test, it's very funny and has a cute artstyle. Have you been watching/reading anything lately?
It's me, styk_avg. I don't think I ever replied to your comment but wanted to say thanks for that long reply. Forgive me, it's been a while since I last read your comment so I don't remember much, but I think I asked about 3-gatsu, no? Anyway, I notice that Gurren Lagann sort of stands out in your favorites. Could you tell me why you liked it? BTW your list style design looks cool.
Been focused on my career. I work 80 hours a week and don't have time for anything else at this point. Nostalgic for those days sometimes but it is what it is
Wow thank you so much for the thoughtful comment! I'm definitely a bit busy due to college, but I'm making an effort to be more online. How have you been doing?

First of all, I'm so very sorry for taking this long to reply. You see, I took a huge break from modding and MAL in general to focus on this past semester of college. I even remember reading your comment, thinking of a reply, and then just forgetting in the endless everyday chaos. So I'm really sorry :/
That being said, hi, and thanks for appreciating my mess of a profile and finding inspiration in it!
First of all, your profile is not a slog at all! Your determination to write more, your passion for animation, and your open-minded approach to art are more than enough for me to consider you a really interesting person, even though I don't know you yet. That's the power of bios!! So never be afraid to pour everything into yours, even if you end up oversharing and going in circles like me on mine hahah. Heck, I just updated the "IRL" portion to reflect me more as a person in this new stage of life and even added a paragraph or two about something I've always been insecure about/iffy about sharing because it often gets misunderstood (you'll know what it is if you reread it), and it's honestly really liberating. Writing about yourself and the art you like/why you like it online is in general. It's like screaming your inner thoughts out into the ocean, except there's a nice chance someone will relate deeply and reply with something equally meaningful. So don't ever let your insecurities get in the way of your writing. Baby steps, and you'll be there before you know it :D
Unfortunately for myself, I'm still inconsistent and struggling, but I do know what to do now at least. I'm still procrastinating with bad habits at the moment again...
I have ADHD which makes life difficult to an extent, so as much info as I gained from several sources on youtube, articles, websites it never clicked until I took a fitness instructor course to finally learn the basics.
My only problem now, again, is just needing to do it and stay consistent. I was doing great months ago, but, yeah, lol.
Anyway. By knowing the foundation of; anatomy, nutrition and how to build a fitness program, everything I learned before made more sense while killing some misinformation.
Although, (YMCA Quebec) is still somewhat lacking as a basic course to introduce a decent foundation of fitness since anything else or more complex is another road of research and education.
Aside from Athlean-X which is now the only fitness youtube channel I'm subscribed to today,
Next to overload of information I've gained over the years, the true best source I gained afterwards was Eric Helm's The Muscle & Strength Pyramid books.
There's two books. One of nutrition, and the other of nutrition.
It teaches you the best methods through the research of consistent science on how to bodybuild and nourish.
To briefly elaborate better, it shows you what's proven to work best in a realistic range of individuality and with what's proven to be most effective.
From how to go on a "diet" to lose fat, gain or maintain effectively,
Exactly how to program a workout and how to progress or judge overall progress.
I could probably explain all of this better, but search up on his original video of the strength pyramid which is basically him explaining the book before it was a book or any other video if you need to be convinced from the guy himself.
As a complicated guy myself who couldn't comprehend and have excuses by never feeling like I didn't fully understand or was missing something, his book fucking finally gave me what I need and wanted for years since last year.
Later I watched some of his podcast videos or other interviews to remind myself of his teachings from the book. It's a great investment of $60+.
I actually much preferred the manga. The 5 honestly is generous comes from the fact that I enjoyed the manga. The anime felt slow and went nowhere. Could also be that I've read the manga twice so this is #3
And yeah, I read GL stuff off and on because the stories are usually written more innocently and it's hard to find straight romance manga that aren't annoying. Any recommendations would be cool
Nice to meet you! Thank you, I don't think anyone has called my taste in anime 'diverse', that's really cool of you to say that XD
