Hobbies:
- Anime Fan since 2000. Was introduced to anime through a friend who got me hooked on DBZ. Strictly watched just DBZ for two years prior to giving other anime series a chance. I still remember how annoying it was to watch DBZ on toonami when they kept showing re-runs.. over and over again...
-Skiing (blitzing down the mountain at godlike speeds and off ramps that *almost* broke my back. Good Times)
-Kendo
Future:
-Going to Japan Summer 2010.
EDIT: Have now lived in Japan for 11+ years. Yep..

THE MUSH MAP
---
10 – Series that attain this level of greatness have impressed me from start to finish. The story, the characters, everything seemed to be top-notch. These's series have the greatest chance of being re-watched and come with the highest level of approval from me. The cream of the crop.
9 – These shows are almost as great as a 10. The only difference is that there was something in the series, something small, that I either didn’t like, or felt that if something was added it would be damn near perfect. Theses series are also very highly recommended to everyone.
8 – These series I really did enjoy, and I would still recommend them to just about everyone. But there flaws are a bit more noticeable then a 9. However, I still thoroughly enjoyed watching these shows to the extent that I would recommend the majority of these titles.
7 – These are “fine” series, a lot more flaws then 8’s, the chances of re-watching is low, but they were a decent 1 time pass. These are what I like to call “mixed bag series” it’s like a rollercoaster, some episodes are great, some are decent. I would only recommend specific series from this section, if I knew that individual liked that specific genre.
6 – These series have very redundant storylines, stuff that has already been milked. OR these shows were just par at best. This is where the bad begins to greatly affect the level of enjoyment received from the show. We’re talking 60% good, 40% decent (at the very best) so it would be very rare for me to recommend a shows in this batch.
5 or lower – Don’t Bother. It’s Bad.

I recognized your profile pic, and I've been curious about Juuni Kokuki for a good while now. Would you say the anime adaptation leaves off on a decent stopping point? I see the manga is still in publication (hiatus?) since the 90's, so that makes me a little reluctant to pick it up. God knows there's plenty of cases like that. Berserk being the recent example where the author passes away before finishing his work.
1 - About Ore wa tappei, I was a little confused, because the anime is about him being a child, and the manga he is a teenager, even though they are the same situations. But I became very attached to the work, and I believe that tappei is really the author's strength. Although many people praise Ashita no Joe more.
2 - About Hikaru no Go, I have reviewed it twice, and now I am reviewing it in series, since the work won a Dorama, it became popular in Japan, and Go pro players make videos talking about the games, matches, references, and the work only gets more and more spectacular, something that I would never think.
3 - Re:Zero as you can see, is a favorite of mine. I believe that the first season is in fact the suprasumo of the works of today, and I don't even need to refer to Re Zero when the subject is "Schadenfreude", the work makes it something impeccable.
4 - I'm glad you're back online at MAL, any doubt or indication, you can ask me, I'll be glad to filter the bad ones, for you to see only the above average ones
Yeah, I'll check it out sometime. I'm definitely more interested in Cross Game though and I'd love to see Miyuki subbed someday, considering that came before Touch. Would be interesting to see how similar they are when Miyuki came first.
