I rate anime on philosophical impact, you measure this by searching for any evidence for the level of the philosophical impact on the mind and by looking for the retention of how the impact will retain in the mind. If these factors are very good then I am willing to give the animeshow a rating of 10/10, otherwise it would be lower. In addition many animes are on watching, because I don't remember always if I have seen the anime entirely.

There are three kinds of models: Rating on Film criticism/Literary Analyse [Film Theory/Literary Criticism], Rating on Philosophical Idea [Philosophy of life] and the last one rating on enjoyment [Fulfillment]

Some people use 7 as standard > some people use 5 as standard > I rate with 7, because most anime has philosophical impact as long as there is a story (in contrast to hentai). I understand why people use 5 ratings, because people want to rate on a full scale of comparison between anime. Also people who are rating with film theory or literary criticism, could be people who read also other mediums like the VN, Manga and LN.

There is a reason why some anime have an average score of 8 or higher.
-What is reason to watch more of the anime (objective, dreams, goals)
-What is the reason to enjoy an episode (achievement, comedy, progress, change)
-What is the reason to enjoy an entire anime (idea, expression, art, characters)
-Technical details (Correct timing like: dialogues, sound, animation and climax; correct colouring scenes and suitable backgrounds for each frame)

The last thing to mention: There are two worlds;
The world of Comedy, echhi, harem "The fun good mindless messages" &
The world of Thriller, action, adventure, Romance; "The more realistic more mind pressured world but with emotional messages".

One of the properties of high rated anime are (8.5-10):
- Commentary from narrator in the anime
- Problem and emotion
- Quote of character development
- Pace (watch more to learn more)
Examples are: Food wars, Rainbow, from the Abyss, Violet Evergarden

Minpoints and not getting 8
- Not coherent in the theme of the anime (Dr. Stone).
- Bad pacing.
