I see..well,it has got that weekend (sunday) morning timeslot so making back to back 2-cours in autumns 2023 and 2024 made sense since It´s family friendly show more or less..xD
Actually it´s more like a reboot to the old one which makes me interested what they do with Patlabor that is coming up in 2026,supposdly..The original is product of its era and time regarding the character composition and all while the 2010 movie also being part of a bonus to the old series.
Chikyuu is very cool stuff to get these days..despite being in seinen realm it´s very approachable like it´s SnK while it not really being about that kind of plot but the endgame and route towards it sure is full of suffering and various emotions..
Cool..another really good seinen adaptation since S1 adaptated like roughly half of the manga.
You´re welcome xD
Been doing fine..definitely the sheer amount of seasonals and the diversity in the end if we can overlook the amount of isekai/reincarnation themed stuff that we get in couple dozens per season kinda, not to mention 50 20mins per ep long seasonals (where I don´t count stuff that have few/several or half-lenght episodes only alongside the kindergarten anime, demographics wise).
Shangri-La Frontier has been surprise for sure how the all 4-cours turned out to be awesome, not only the love letter to the manga but also the production values.Definitely reminds me of how Fire Force was approached as adaptation to some degree 5-6 years ago when it also got 4-cours in total and then paused for half decade to be finished in only couple more cours - both serialized in the same mag btw.How about you?
I would say it's the titles with wider demography that takes priorities first.Even if this might seem like one of them it actually isn't due to the mag it's coming from I suppose.
Ye..AFTERNOON mag has plenty of good manga titles like that I would say. We're getting Medalist adaptation next winter for example which also started being serialized 4 years ago.
Skip & Loafer though grows on you more the more time you spend with the manga (I would say after 40-50 chapters it's pretty much your ''home'' xD).
1st movie can definitely be considered oudated regarding the intended audience these days since the source material is over 25 years old now xD
I see..well,I've been following the manga since it had 27 chapters available which was at november 2020 apparently.
cool then..I mean making proper 1-cour only anime seems to be harder each year I would say since it's hard to please todays generations when it has outdated hooks and character traits or whatever else..
That's interesting..that anime series is long finished but it had nice peak for the 3 years in last years of 00s..when it comes to movie series that is.I've seen it ages ago and still it's interesting to know that people are interested to get into it.
You're welcome :-)
Nice..definitely in my TOP3 animes of 2023 I would say.1st is obviously Frieren and 2nd Stray Dogs (the both split cours that aired).
But ye..I've been doing pretty great just feeling a little overhelmed with the spring season and the amount of seasonals is coming..you know,at least 1/3 of them I watch from any given season are the most forgetable and there's limit of how much you can memorize to certain extend down the line if you look back on some of the stuff that aired months/years later..
How about you besides finally finding time to watching something passionate since I feel like it was rare throughout the c*vid to get proper seinen anime stuff - obviously we've had Kingdom S3-S4 but that also had some turbulences regarding the development, even if they wanted to pump out the episodes as soon as possible,I think.
