A typical anime watcher and manga reader. I'm a teaching assistant for mathematics, I swim, and I'm Chinese. My favorite color is blue and my favorite fruit is watermelon.
I have never dropped a series, completion is good.
I'm behind on my manga exposure. For me, it's a lot easier and more convenient to sit down and marathon an anime than it is to marathon a manga. Unfortunately, this means that I haven't read very much.
I'm also too lazy to write a lot of CSS for my About Me, maybe I'll do it later.
I don't tend to write reviews or recommendations. As a personal ideal I don't think that my opinions should have that much influence in either persuading or discouraging you from watching something. Right now the only exception is Rebuild of Evangelion 3.0

Landmark Moment: My 1000th completed anime was Girls Und Panzer. It certainly is not what I would've expected a few years ago, and I guess it really depended on the order that I chose to watch things in, but a landmark moment nonetheless.

About your review of Rebuild of Eva 3.0, thanks for that, really, it made me realize it was really confusing and it wasn't just me, also, i agree with you that some things there were way too much bullshit to be accepted as questions to later be answered, also, even if they are i know for experience that opening up that many questions usually result in the own creator being confused and unable to answer them all without leaving plot holes, wich is a shame, since i expected rebuild series to redeem eva's plotholes history (actually i think they much rather should have fixed the original series than create a new one, expecially as confusing as the original)
Obs: sorry for my shitty english and probably nonsenseful text, i'm brazilian and it's fucking 4 am after i watched 3.0, i'm confused, tired, and in a need to write this shit before i forget it

Your review was very interesting. In fact, at the beginning of 3.0, I really was wondering if I haven't skipped an entire movie, or at least the end of 2.0., because I couldn't understand what was happening!
I think that, as you said, that confusion is intentionally created to feel like shinji, but then, that's too much! The only thing we know for sure is that he screwed up, he's clueless, everyone hates him (as usual) and his father's still using him as a tool.
So yeah, basically we're back to square one...

Great review of Eva 3.0. The movie's flawed on a basic level so I kind of already knew what was wrong with it, but I just couldn't find the words to express it nor would I be able to go into the detail you did. Good job.

Having just read your review on Evangelion 3.0 -right after I actually saw the movie- made me realize that theres no need for me to write a review of my own since yours fit my thoughts exactly! ^_^!

While the technical aspects of the movie remain top-notch it's actually been quite a while since the last time I've seen an anime turning out to be such a letdown. I highly doubt that exceeding in plotholes an eva-ish symbogasm adds anything relevant to the series/franchise other than confusion... and even that feels kind of forced onto the viewer. <_<

On a side note:
What is it with time skips -for no good reasons- becoming popular with japanese authors? (-_-)

You... summarised every damn complaint I have for NGE Rebuild 3.

I personally call that one Rebirth of Shinji: You Can (Not) Do
because it's basically just 1.5 hours(?) of people being a dick to Shinji and bossing him around with only Kaworu treating him humanely (as usual).

What I do hate most about the movie is how it keeps adding elements (the dual lances and dual entry EVA 13 which is so OMG SYMBOLIC being the biggest offender) that just add more questions and confusion.

the rather underwheming MK Evas being the new "angels" here also sucks. since they don't seem as creative as the angels themselves. which seems to be the entire point. but either way, they 'don't really seem that awesome.
