Oh, it's been great so far. One of the nicest places I've been to so far. The only drawback I can think of is that the language is pretty hard. Would definitely recommend to visit if you have the chance.

On the other hand I've been struggling to find a good anime to watch recently as well (even though I live in the very land of anime). Haven't updated my list for quite a while either. I've been mostly re-watching my favorites or occasionally starting to watch new shows just to drop them few episodes later.

Anyway, on your profile description it says that you love yuri so I was going to ask you whether you have any recommendations. Manga is also okay although because some fair use laws that would most likely mean that I will have to buy it but as long as it is something good I don't really mind.

Same here, been living in Japan for the past year and a half or so but ironically don't have much time to watch anime lately.

For some reason however I always make sure to log in here at least few times a week. :)
