I was a huge anime and Japan-nerd back in 2006 - 2009. Later it died down, and I found new interests, but now and again I feel the urge to watch some anime.
In 2020 I finally decided to finish some anime's that I started 10+ years ago, as well as try to watch some new interesting animes.
Manga is not my thing. I rarely read comics and when I do, it's European comics.
I try to keep to short animes nowadays. About 15 - 50 episodes are just enough. But now and again you find some golden longer animes, of course.
The first anime I really watched was "Peter Pan no Bōken" when I was a child, recorded on an old VCR with the Swedish dub. I watched the episodes I had (1 and 2 if I remember correctly) over and over again.
Yu-Gi-Oh (with Swedish dub once again) was my next huge obsession, back in 2004 or so. I later in 2006 started watching it from the beginning (starting with Season 0) in Japanese with English subtitles, and simultaneously I watched Princess Tutu (in Japanese). Since then I've been hooked.
Even when I don't have my anime-freak-moments, I still try to keep up with One Piece. It's one of those animes I desperately want to follow to the end, I adore it!
