My first introduction to anime was when I was about 5 years old watching, Knights of the Zodiac, living in South Africa. I had no idea what Anime was, but I just remembered loving every minute of the series.
A few years later anime would surge into the mainstream with Pokemon and Dragonball, but I fell in love with Digimon. It wouldn't be until 2005/2006 when I was 15 years old when finally an anime tv channel opened in SA. I indulged in Eureka Seven, Gundam Seed, Wolf's Rain, Basilisk, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and 2nd gig, Hellsing, Trigun and many others. Essentially it would lay the foundation for my ever-growing love of the medium.
The channel would get cancelled a couple years later, but that was just due to horrible mismanagement, so for the next few years, I couldn't get my Anime fix. But thanks to Crunchyroll and Netflix, in late 2012 I was reacquainted with the medium and since then I simply indulged in all things anime.
I'm a lover of story, an indie filmmaker, who loves Films, Books and especially Anime!
