Do you tend to switch between shows as you watch? I tend to marathon, but now I will sometimes watch part of a show then part of another (but still like several episodes at a time). But I used to know a friend who would switch between 2 or 3 books at the same time. And I would end up getting confused if I did that. Bc my brain would still be in the mindset of one book or I would forget which events happened in which one.

Nothing honestly comes to mind when looking at what we've both rated, though your mean score is about a full point lower than mine, though mine will drop when I finally get around to re-rating a bunch of things (many things will drop, almost nothing will go up). A lot can change in a decade, especially once you've seen so many more things. Also I see your ratings don't collapse after 2012 like mine do. It's been much harder to find good anime over the past decade. I tend to stick more to older anime these days, with the 1990s to 2000s being my biggest comfort zone.
https://anime.plus/BigOnAnime/favorites,anime (2018, 2021-2023 are skewed from a lack of data. I've seen little from these years.)

Regarding Strike the Blood, it's a series that I watched as it aired and didn't like it. It wasn't until late 2015 (thanks to a wall scroll of Yukina I ordered, yes a wall scroll of who would later become my waifu) I gave the light novels and thus the anime a second chance I came to love it. It's more enjoyable than it is actually good. I initially gave the anime a 4/10, I now have it at a 5/10. Doesn't help the anime has bad pacing and loses a good amount of the finer details from the light novels which while not great, are much better. If you've read the light novels, it enhances one's enjoyment of the anime, but that's a sign of a bad adaptation.

I really agree with your takes. I mean for #1, my on hold and watching list is almost surpassed my completed list (and has at one point).

Koe wa Zombie desu ka isn't really worth it all things considered. There are any number of better comedies out there in anime from Gintama to The Daily Lives of High School Boys to Nichijou: My Ordinary Life to Seto no Hanayome, etc, etc.

Also, I highly recommend those four shows and Barakamon.

Yeah no problem. Many users here are saying that I'm an elitist. Some of the users here are saying "you have a trash taste and you're rating everything a 10..." What's that? Double standards?

Well kidding aside, I really hate this community so I tend to stay away from the forums and the degenerates. I'm glad there are some people who I can talk to even our own opinions are different. Like I like Oshi no Ko but I understand the critic opinions of others. It's valid but the fanbase are really retards so one of the reasons on why I intend to stay away. I just try to balance everything when I'm watching and of course I'm enjoying watching anime or you could say that I'm a blind watcher. But at some time, I'm trying to become more critic and having high standards when I'm watching more and more animes.

I agree that A Silent Voice isn't a romance, same in Violet Evergarden. I don't know why I added that movie in the first place in my romance stack. And yeah, Actually I am is a quirky show but the manga is still better for me.

I think the reason why I rated Angel Beats so high because of the emotional impact at the last episode. I know that the show isn't perfect because of unsatisfying characterization and exploration of the lore and the characters. The comedy is pretty good and it's far better than the humor of Spy x Family. The show resonates me like the sound of the piano keys that Kanade plays.

I don't know why I rated CSM a 9 but the manga is better in execution. It think it's because of the philosophy behind it and the lore of the story. The story isn't that good and yeah, the characters are annoying. I agree with the cheap tricks and the plot twist but I think it's because of the execution. Execution of the plot is the most important thing for me when watching a show over everything else. At least it works for me.

Nah, no problem. At least you're not that immature guy that I recently talk when he forced his opinion that Kaguya-sama is the best romcom of all time and it deserves the rating. I mean, who MAL scores are garbage and the top rankings are the most retarded thing I've ever saw in my entire life. Who's ever going to believe that shit? And Violet Evergarden movie isn't that great and that guy considered it as a romance. I love the TV series but romance? Meh...

Oh no, I'm still here, I get notifications when someone leaves a comment here. I just don't really engage with anime much lately. Thank you for the kind words, maybe I will.

Never drop a series or show, stick to it, or put it on hold and watch it in the future, because anything can happen, it can become a masterpiece or hot garbage any second

My man! That's what im talking about.

Thanks for the comments, it's nice to be appreciated, somewhat.
Love seeing Houseki no Kuni climbing the ratings, it started out just ordinary to some people, then they finally got the message.
Need to catch up now it's back from Hiatus.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
