No problem I kind of enjoy writing and being able to express myself as capably as I can so I didn't mind I wanted to be thorough in explaining to you what you were getting yourself into so I had to get in depth instead saying this is alike and this is good which is too insufficient for my liking.
If you want something similar in scope to berserk in terms of epic storytelling, memorable characters, and great well drawn and choreographed swordfighting with deep storyline that has a lot of philosophical meanings in it, and it also portrays themes of friendship and betrayal in dark seinen settings similar to berserk. In that case then vagabond for its badass main lead who I would argue is up there with the likes off guts in terms of badassery the art in it also rivals Miura's best drawn art the manga is quite addictive throughout and the main character is also an upstart wanderer who has been lonely his entire life seeking for meaning and along his journey he grows as a character and becomes wiser. He gets betrayed by his childhood best friend when he is in the worst situation of his life and his parents were never supportive of him and similar to guts he suffered abuse form his father I have only read 35 chapters thus far and have heard it gets even better and my first impressions for it were me being very impressed.
Rurouni kenshin is another great one in which he has to deal with betrayal since he was a kid he has been left out to die and has never felt the love of others. If you've noticed the pattern he is also a wanderer searching around for a deeper meaning in life and he stops wandering once he makes friends with a woman and eventually two other characters along with the woman fill that hole. Similar to them the main character in this is also a total badass although he is different because of his past he has come to abhor murder and instead uses a flipped side sword to prevent his enemy from getting killed and is more cautious of who he strikes and deeply values life unlike the other two although in his past he was a bloodthirsty killer just like guts and musashi form vagabond this series is very well done as well in terms of swordfighting and art and the anime version has a great soundtrack if I am not mistaken I already recommended this to you.
Vinland saga breaks the pattern by not having a main character as a badass although his father and eventual mentor are really badass, cool and likeable characters. And the main character thorfinn is a boy and we get to see him grow as a man in a Vikings setting and his character development is truly sublime one of the best I have ever seen in a manga. This also has epic swordfighting, great art and an epic storyline and is deeply imbedded in philosophy. The boy goes through heartache at the death of his father by his own mentor and swears up revenge towards that very mentor and loses chances of making friends in return. The story deals with themes of revenge, redemption, justice and a character trying to find meaning in life. And kingdom which I haven't read but have heard great things about and is in my top priority for my plan to read list has epic storytelling and great swordfighting although in ancient China this one from what I have heard uses a lot of battle strategy and tactics unlike the others who follow the main leads. These four are your best bets and if I am right they are all in your plan to read I suggest giving any of them a try up to you really which one you go for first I am sure you'd come to love all of them because they are the best swordfighting mangas besides berserk I could recommend you I don't know if you have watched samurai champloo if not that is another great option and gungrave and trigun are another solid choices for anime that focuses deeply on friendship and betrayal although unlike the other options they are sci-if based and involve gunslinging but are great choices for anime about those two themes to watch. If you do choose to watch gungrave then I highly suggest you skip the first ep and skip to the second one instead this is similar to berserk 1997 where the first ep is after the event of the last one and in the first ep in berserk it reveals Griffith to be the bad guy who caused a major betrayal so the viewer knows a betrayal is gonna happen from this specific character and it ruins a bit off the shocker gungrave's first ep is very similar in this way. Hope this list helps.
I see since you are a fan of historicals with epic battles and stuff then I also recommend adding rurouni kenhsin in your list which I take it you don't have at the moment it's really good up to you if you'd go with the anime version or the manga one there both really good although in the anime one there is a decent amount of filler but the soundtrack of the anime is simply superb. Just like you I am a huge fan of berserk and monster although with monster I am only 20 chapters through and I am loving it thus far.
