Glad to help. It's better to see for yourself, I don't think I explained it all, but yeah, seeing is believing. Overall, I found it really good, in terms of plot, animation and music.
Yes. That is what I learned reading through forums. Bara Suishou is likely derived from the last 7th sister Kira Kishou. Kira Kishou is the opponent in the new Rozen Maiden anime.
Just to tell you, just the first episode of the 2013 Rozen Maiden is a rehash of the manga (what happened in the first two seasons)... although the manga really shown that Hina Ichigo and Souseiseki lost in the Alice Game.
What happens in the RM 2013 is that it shows a parallel world of the unwound grown up college student Jun and how he connects to the wound Jun (the kid that you know) and tries to help his wound self.
Yeah, same here. The one with Bara Suishou kinda bored me. This is the reason why I am going to read the manga, to know what really exactly happen to the series.
And yes, if you plan on watching it, you shouldn't ask me about that since it is as you said, it would be a spoiler. Although, I at least can tell you that the sequel, the Rozen Maiden 2013's first episode actually is a unique alternative retelling of the manga since it has been long since the first anime aired. The real first episode starts at episode two.
Sorry for late reply, been really busy with schoolwork, and trying to finish my summer anime. I thought it would also be best to answer this question after the last episode of Rozen Maiden.
Technically, I haven't really read the manga properly, and the anime (the first and second season) is loosely adapted from it. But the 2013 version adapted the manga properly. As my opinion, the art is really good. Also, I find the anime really interesting overall. If you have seen the Rozen Maiden series you should give it a try. It has nice characters, I especially love Suiseiseki and Hina Ichigo.
Hello Eckilsax! I don't know which avatar you are talking about, so I will tell you both.
The profile picture that I have is Shinku from the anime Rozen Maiden.
If you are talking about my forum avatar/signature, her name is Kurousagi, from the anime Mondaiji-Tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sou Desu yo?
Wow, bleach might even end before naruto. Kubo Tite just announced that its the "Final volume" of the manga. That can only mean like 10 chapters at the most are left, so yep, bleach is ending for sure. He did mentioned before that he needed to time to draw out the final battle, but now on the cover page it says
As far as bleach's 1000 year blood war arc being longer then the arankar must of had their facts screwed up or it was just a rumor that got out, i guess thats out the window and its coming to an end. I haven't really been reading alot of it lately, but i may pick it up after the anime ended and read whole last arc now that it is ending.
26 episodes top and they could animate the rest of bleach.
Now as far as some other news, people recently though that Magi was coming to an end cause it reaching some sort of insane war and big battle. But the author just officailly twitted that its only bout a quarter of way done, WOW!! That means it can surely be the next big shonen and unlike other shonen's it breaks alot of traditional super power, cliche save the world type tropes. It definitely is more along the lines of FMA i would say. It deals with more political power which is something that alot of shonen series don't really delve into as a primary theme like yu know 12 kingdoms for example.
Its a phenomenal manga though, you definitely want to check it out if you get the chance and now that i know that its barely just getting started, it could be another huge hit and possibly another studio might take up work on a remastered series.
I said Drrr was pandering because it references other anime unnecessarily, not because of fan service. Hell, it referenced anime in the lowest form possible, like having a billboard of an anime in the background (seriously, how much lower can you go?) and referencing otaku culture in general (like yaoi).
As for it being predictable, yeah I guess some of it wasn't, but a lot of it was (at least for me).
And yes, the pacing is slow, it had 26 episodes and it hardly finished one arc, towards the end it felt like it was just wasting time. Unlike Baccano which wrapped a lot of things up in only 13 episodes and wasted no time.
And I agree that the music in Drrr is nice and the animation is pretty good too, but it's not enough to save it from what it truly is, which is a wreck imho.
As for F/Z, it's fine if you prefer characters over a story. Imo the characters weren't bad, but not good enough to cover for the lack of an actual story (it's no Cowboy Bebop). They always threw cliche lines at each other, and I felt that I've seen these characters before, but done better. There are even some decisions that the characters made that seemed kinda forced and out of place, just to get an emotional reaction from the audience.
And the thing you said about ideologies clashing is done in LOGH and in a faaar better and more intriguing way and they don't throw cliches at each other. Also it has a complex storyline behind it, so I guess my standards went up in that respect.
Again, unlike Drrr I think it's actually good (even though I didn't enjoy it), but it doesn't deserve much praise imo. And though I didn't read the source material, people who did, generally seem to be happy with the anime.. So that's a sign that I shouldn't bother with it.
okok I'm sorry, I guess I should have known you'd respond like that.
BTW you do realize I've actually watched more anime than you I just don't like cluttering my list with movies, OVA's and specials. Not that it matters.
