yeah the holidays have been good. busy though, but good. ive been working heaps lately which is pretty SUPERGAY. but aside from that pretty tight. when it quiets down i should have more time for things like anime and manga again.

yeah damn dude, nyan koi has gone down hill. Stupid formulaic rom coms nowadays. When I first started out with anime, I chewed through generic high school (or similar) romance anime and loved them. But now I swear the only romance I can stand is seinen+romance, or a high school/teen romance done particularly well (for example Bakemonogatari, or Kimi ni Todoke (tho haven't seen that yet lol)).

LOL. guess what, my internet randomly went back to normal. for like NO reason at all. I'm not complaining though. Back to downloading shit. Though that brief dial up speed period threw out my weekly airing anime habits, so now I've got huge backlog.

Yeah finished Shin Angyo Onshi, and loved it. Munsu is just so badass. He's like a cross of all my fave badass male characters (Onizuka, Spike, Mugen, and probably another). Idk if it deserves the 10 I gave it, but I just got so into it later on that I didn't care.

HAHA GURO. I don't know if I'll be able to handle it. But I have Braderly's Coach already downloaded, and doesn't that have some guro stuff in it?

yeah, DVD releases can't come fast enough. I'm eager to check out Summer Wars, but the only available release is meant to be reaaally shit.

Btw, started Vagabond today and marathoned it to chapter 58 or something. It's really good and OMG the artwork. It blows my mind.

Yeah, Frenchies have all the mangos, they even had a joint project with the Japones called Le Japon vu par 17 auteurs which had a simultaneous release in a bunch on languages. I haven't been planning on reading it, but I might.

One of the reasons I decided to read his stuff was because my buddee told me he kills off all of the children in his mango and I thought that was pretty awesome.

lol, shouldn't have said that stuff to you about my internet, since now it's back to ISP being annoying. I'm on dial up speed at the moment (maximum 8kb/s download speed ;_;) and will have to suffer with this speed until the 15th of December OMG. MAL takes like 2 minutes to load, it's so gay.
Yeah I haven't seen FSN for a while, but it was good from what I remember. Main character is a pussy though, but all the women are excellent. And the whole idea behind the servant + master and them competing against each other is pretty cool.

Yep, I've been reading SAO heaps. That short fat guy that's now accompanying Munsu is annoying though. I get the feeling he's just there for comedic relief (sort of - since the author mentions him in the Korean folklore as someone pretty important - but he's still annoying), but it's still great. I just finished the chapter where Sando and Aji Tae's sando fight and shit. I'm raging since Munsu's sando thinks Aji Tae is this pro super delicious beautiful heart guy, but in reality he's Munsu's enemy and most likely an evil unfeeling bastard.

Yeah shoujo is pretty meh. Same with a lot of shonen as well (though I can tolerate shounen much easier than shoujo). Seinen is the best. No scratch that, hentai is the best :3

Agreed. Gonzo have interesting ideas a lot of the time, but quite often they resort to cliches, or generic shit. OH man, those episodes in NHK with the fucked animation were so annoying. It was horrible. Luckily the show was great enough to make up for it. Man it was a funny show. Totally out there.

btw i see Bakemonogatari is in your favourites now. Unfortunately I heard the last couple of eps won't stream until early next year or something (maybe i'm wrong, idk I just read this somewhere I don't even know where, maybe I dreamed it). >:(

aaanyway, on the topic of nyan koi the twins are delicious, though unfortunately not main characters. the most recent ep (i think it's 7) wasn't that great I felt...it was like a mass of jealousy with pretty much no progress. D:

yeah you're on chapter 11 of til death do us part and there's about 90 chapters out so IM SURE there'll be development and awesome backstories and the like. it's got a pretty decent rating too (though MAL ratings aren't something to get excited over).

watashisomething jikan was indeed REALLY sad. like fuck, nearly shed tears. so yeah, it's pretty good. it still has a couple of shoujo-isms here and there iirc, but it's great overall i thought. oh yeah, and the art style is unique and pretty awesome too.

idk if you noticed but i slowed down in my watching of anime + reading of manga lately. i think i'm having a temporary break and only watching a couple of episodes here and there. idk why, but i also got back into a couple of games so i've been busy with them.
i THINK what I need is a great series to get me back into things. i hope i'm making some kind of sense.

On that note, don't watch Kaze no Stigma unless you want to laugh @ serious scenes. it started out promising with a badass young male character (something far too rare in the medium), except now it's just generic and gay. GONZO WHY

I've been getting the Dawn Before the End of the World scans as they've been released, but I haven't been reading much manga recently because of classes and stuff anyway. I'm sure that I'll be free soon enough to get to it, though.
You'll probably be happy to know that with Solanin's large size - not only in number of pages but in actual page size - comes all of the original colour pages for extra awesome. There are only a couple, but it's still great to see Asano IN COLOUR.

I was considering getting his other stuff in French (since they've licensed and released all of his work except for Punpun and Dawn), but buying from France is a lot of trouble. I'll just have to hope that more of his work gets licensed in English since the Viz Signature line treats its releases very well. Here's hoping.

Cool, downloaded Kobato up to ep 4, I'll catch up probably tomorrow or something. And as for Bakemonogatari, I'm waiting until all episodes are available so I can marathon it. :>

Shin Angyo Onshi has been pressing me to read it lately, so that makes me want to read it more. Munsu sounds (and looks) as badass as you say. That said, I have no idea why I started Pandora Hearts, when I have Shin Angyo Onshi there, waiting for me. Pandora Hearts is pretty gay so far, though that's only based on two chapters. It's like uber gothic + typical young immature shonen male lead. At least that's the vibe I've got thus far. I was wondering why it's so highly rated...though now I'm starting to think it's a manga for fangirls only. BUT. I still have hope for Alice, since I love her character design and she looks kinda tsundere-y. Or if not that, then kind of awesome-e. We shall see.

That's good. The winding down period at school is always great, and a relief. You know you could buy a cane, and use it whenever you get in the mood. ;D

What a Wonderful World is great; it's a collection of short stories similar to Solanin's, focusing on existential crises in the lives of ordinary people in a broken world. It's not as endearing as Solanin because of the nature of short stories, but they're each very thoughful and full of Asano. I'd say it wasn't quite as good as Solanin, but I liked it a little more than Nijigahara.
The larger-sized Viz Signature releases for Asano's work also make it more awesome.

We have some amazing compatibility and are both bothered by Simo.
We should band together and cultivate love for Inio Asano.

oh and btw, is there anything from the new season that I should be watching but am not (besides DtB2)?
