Hahaha that's a pretty good comparison. Reading your review has actually made me think more how I used to really like those opening episodes. I remember how stacked that fall season was and I got swept up in the hype pretty easily. How do you feel about the movie announcement? One of the things I usually remember is how Victor's character was more interesting during ep 1(The whole quitting skating vs coming back ordeal, which they threw away by the finale) than what it delved into down the line, so maybe the fact it's a prequel movie could make it more worthwhile than the TV show (not difficult). But at the same time I always had the possibility how a sequel could try and fix some patches in that "relationship" they decided to never acknowledge again.

No problem, I know how it can feel on this site giving out a negative review sometime. Gave it the helpful and all that jazz.

Hello, I just wanted to stop by to praise your Yuri!!! on Ice review. You hit the nail on the head addressing the "romance" aspect of the narrative, which is what constantly drives me the insane the more I think back to the show. Never once did I feel like Yuri and Victor were in an actual relationship, yet there's also so much babble about how progressive it is. I did not quite have the frustrating experience as you spelled out in your review, but I definitely agree with most, if not all, of your points mentioned.

There are just so few anime and manga that catch my interest nowadays, and when they do catch my interest, I tend to drop them, because their story has been done before and better in the past. (And I've never bothered to list out everything I've seen/read ether lol, too much effort!)

I have to agree - I haven't really been active in the anime community for ages, simply because I loathe the majority of newer animes/mangas. Can't stand all that moe-blob, loli nonsense. I miss 90s anime/manga, and the years before. Maybe the animation wasn't great, but story, characterization...so good. I think I started losing interest 'round 2006ish.

I enjoyed the anime despite it being a seriously flawed adaptation, but the manga is one of my all time favorites! Anyway, I can't believe that Yuri on Ice is getting a movie. How absolutely unnecessary, but I suppose it must be milked for all its worth.

I came across your Yuri On Ice review and I must say - I absolutely, utterly agree. I watched it back when it aired thanks to the hype surrounding it, and unfortunately, went into it thinking I was going to see a to-be legendary series. I could not have been more wrong. What a steaming pile of tripe it is! It's like your stereotypical, cliche Shoujo manga...but with same-sex relationships. If it were just another guy/girl series, it would definitely not be as popular as it is.

Have you seen/read Banana Fish? You might like it!

• Use same profile pic you made but possibly a bit brighter than it is currently. (does not have to be as bright as old one) (comparison in spoiler)
  Because as it is currently, I find it really difficult to see or make out of anything If looking at image from a bit distance, or using face part as avatar elsewhere. Making it a bit closer to old one (brighter) will make it just perfect.
  
• And would like to have Oz forum avatar (nameless & named) Basically the old one I had (also shown in spoiler image)

As for profile pic I'm guessing it's yagami light from death note. But surely not provided by me. You probably found it yourself. (tried to find it, but couldn't as I'm guessing its quite heavily modified image by ya :D)

So simple name updates would be nice enough.
Or if you are up to aside name updates making some new ones as well, I wouldn't mind. (who knows, maybe you end up making something even more to my "taste/style" and much better/surprising. Whenever profile pic or avatar).
