A long term anime fan from Fargo, North Dakota. I first discovered it one night staying up way too late in 8th grade and seeing Vampire Hunter D. It took a few years to truly learn more and get into things, but eventually I was hooked. By college I was going to Anime Club and being exposed to plenty of amazing things I never would have otherwise given a chance - and for that I'm amazingly grateful. Of particular note is discovering my favorite show to this day: Haibane Renmei.

It's been a long and sordid journey from there - but I still love anime!

Hi. I came here from your Listeners review. I've been considering watching this show for quite some time, primarily because Dai Satou has been credited for writing the story. I'm a big 90's alt-rock and shoegaze fan too! Being a music nerd, your review has made me very excited about the show. It seems you wrote the review right after watching the first four episodes. Do you have anything more to say about the anime, in case you ended up watching all of it?

Interesting insights on Listeners. I have been enjoying the series a decent amount, but I am not as big of a music guy, so I feel like I miss a lot of the references. I get kind of the basic stuff but otherwise I am sure a lot went over my head.

Yes, I have a lot of high ranked stuff. Because I'm trying to figure out what I've actually watched - making it pretty hard to add things I don't remember. I've been watching Anime since the year 2000 after all! So far, it's the stuff that left a big impression on me or that I've randomly recalled, meaning it's mainly the best stuff!

Maybe someday I'll start going through season lists and try to make it more comprehensive, though I doubt I'll ever have everything.
