I previously almost only read manga, but I managed to start watching some anime as well. Still mainly read manga though, a wide and random range of genres. My preferred genre is psychological.
*I am missing many entries from my manga list and a few from my anime list, so please bear with me.
About my favorites
Anime
Nodame Cantabile: Talented male lead, bizarre female lead, great music, romance, and some comedy--Nodame will most likely always be one of the most memorable anime for me. After I completed the manga, I expressed some interest in the anime. The anime brought to life the series which I appreciated so much--and in a way that did not disappoint. Nodame Cantabile on MAL
One Outs: Also a favorite manga of mine, One Outs is a sports-themed battle of wits with high stakes that involve millions, even billions of yen. As an avid lover of psychological series and a growing fan of sports series, One Outs was just the kind of series that I enjoy the most.Focusing more on 'psychological' than 'baseball', the anime did a good job adapting the manga. One Outs on MAL
Casshern Sins: Set in a decaying world with an amnesiac protagonist, Casshern Sins deals with the problems of both immorality and mortality, often in an episodic manner, with powerful action yet almost serene conversations. This anime had some of the most humanlike robots I've seen, and it was consistently interesting enough to leave its mark on my memory. Casshern Sins on MAL
Manga
Koe no Katachi:Koe no Katachi revolves around a boy who bullied a deaf classmate in elementary school, and now, in high school, he meets with her again in an attempt to make up for all the past trauma he caused her. Although apparently controversial when the pilot one-shot first was serialized, this manga was still able to be created into a series, and is a fantastic read with a good story. Koe no Katachi on MAL
Itsuwaribito Utsuho: I picked up a volume of this series at the bookstore, as it is licensed in my country. I very rarely buy a manga that I have not read previously, but as at that time Itsuwaribito had not been scanned, it couldn't be helped. Itsuwaribito is a story of trickery, with the protagonist using 'good' lies to save people. This series utilizes a few of my favorite elements, namely:
-Clever protagonist
-Episodic stories
-Historical theme
-Psychological tricks
However, soon the series abandons the episodic approach and develops an arc revolving around the Kokonotsu treasure. I have enjoyed the series immensely--ah, and if I seem behind, it is because I only read the published volumes, even if later on a scanlation group did pick up this project. Itsuwaribito Utsuho on MAL
Uchuu Kyoudai: At first glance, this series may seem bland and unexciting, but in fact it's a fascinating series that blends everyday life with the seemingly far-off dream of becoming an astronaut. While the characters are not especially unique or amazing, they are likable due to their realism and how one can relate to them. Overall, a good series set some years in the future. Uchuu Kyodai on MAL
One Outs: This mangaka also did the psychological manga Liar Game. You might recognize his tricky style of psychology in One Outs as well--if you don't recognize his art style first. I am absolutely fascinated with the psychological genre, and as a growing fan of the sports genre as well, I jumped on this series. One Outs has a slow start, granted, but soon grows into an interesting series with high stakes of money and cleverness. Not so much baseball skills as psychological, One Outs is great by my opinion. One Outs on MAL
Characters
Nanba Mutta: Uchuu Kyodai is a series that wouldn't nearly be the same without its cast of characters. The protagonist, Mutta, seems plain at first despite his afro, but Mutta is actually a surprisingly relatable man with quirks and issues like anyone else, even if he starts on a journey to the seemingly lofty goal of an astronaut.
Morgiana: The 'strong silent' type is not usually applied to female characters, but often that is how Morgiana acts. Although not always that way, Morgiana has insane physical strength as well as speed, and her stoic nature made her quite endearing to me. Morgiana has proven to be quite kind despite her past as a slave.
Inada Tamako: Tamako is introduced as a miser, she is calculative and very keen on how to run a business, sales, equipment, and more. It is even later revealed that she is overweight because she like to be that way--although upon request she can lose weight in order to transform into a 'bishoujo'.
I like Tamako for her almost evil yet hard working personality.
Utsuho Azako: What fascinates me with Utsuho is his mental strength and cleverness. But he is not one of those merely calculative snakes--he also posesses a talent for fighting, as well as a courage that makes him no coward, though a noble hero he is not.
Megumi Noda: Although she comes off so bizarre that she's almost an alien, it seems this college music student with a poor grades and a sloppy apartment (to say the least) has amazing skills on the piano. Although she mooches off her neighbor and friends and often speaks in her own made-up language, this crazy character is one of my favorites due to her overall likability and uniqueness.
Tokuchi Toua: I tend to like cunning protagonists, and the tricky gambler Tokuchi was the perfect protagonist for a static yet clever baseball series. Tokuchi's smarts are classic for this author and are what makes his series interesting.
Casshern:
Despite his catch phrase being 'I don't know' for much of his series, Casshern was an interesting character if not only for his high speed combat skills and seemed immortality. The darkness of his apprent past wrongdoings covered him in an enigmatic shroud as he trudged through the misfortune that followed him with a magnetic pull.
About my ratings:
10--Very enjoyable. Doesn't mean flawless, but I very much like the series despite any and all problems.
9--Great. Something you can read/watch several times and still appreciate.
8--Quite good. Above average by my opinion either in terms of plot or overall experience.
7--It's good. I can't say it's 'amazing' but I will still likely recommend it and, of course, complete it.
6--It isn't particularly bad, but not all that great either.
5--It's all right. I most likely will never return to the series again.
4--Can't say I liked the series very much.
3--I most likely only finished it for the sake of completeness.
2--This was a waste of time.
1--I find no point in reading/watching the series.
I rarely give a score below a 5 since I only start series that I am at least somewhat confident that I will like--at least, partially.
Things I am tired of seeing in a series:
--Characters talking about how they spotted an opponent's 'fatal weakness'
--Harems/reverse harems
--Transfer students that coincidentally met with the main character the day before or a few days prior
--Whiny protagonists
--Whiny heroines
--Copious fanservice, very little plot. (Commonly seen in both shonen and shojo series.)
--The protagonist is about to die or get hit and then the antagonist suddenly steps in?! Say that it isn't so!
--Twins in which one is blond and outgoing and the other dark-haired and sullen
--Ex-girlfriends
--Fiance/Fiancees
More will be added as I remember them. This is merely a list of my own picky dislikes, I care very little whether someone else enjoys them or not. Tastes are tastes are tastes.
I guess there is no convincing you that blobfish aren't cute but don't you start calling Shark Tale weird too. Anything Will Smith touches turns to gold and gold is certainly not weird, hahaha. Oh my gosh, you're dad really is a health nut! I never really thought of shrimp that way before, geez, way to ruin an appetite. Man, you guys must miss out on a lot in food(life).
Yeah it's cause I have never owned one actually and I never plan to either. I think I were to ever have one though it would not turn out like any of those cats you mentioned. Ever since I was a kid to this present day, I have always been a pest to animals, mine or not. I have always enjoyed messing with animals in anyway possible, not harming them though of course but I always seem make them lose their minds, heh. For example, there is not a day where I don't push my dog around, blow in his ear, pull his ears, step on his foot, or creep through a corner and give him a heart attack. I'm always doing something to disrupt his otherwise, peaceful life. It's great!
Yeah I'll definitely consider getting that once I get a 3DS which should be sooner since I'm starting my job on the 1st! Of course there are lots of things I have to pay first but I'm putting games on on my higher priority once all that is out of the way. FINALLY, I can pay for my own stuff with my own money!
Yeah I think Nelson is one of those names that can go either way. It can sound hispanic or american all the same. On the other hand, I don't think Bryan or mys sister's name--Ashley sound very hispanic but Puerto Ricans have a way of making any name sound hispanic. For instance, my cousin's name is Steven and he was born and raised in PR but they pronounce his name 'Esteven' which somehow makes it hispanic but whatevs. The only way my moms says both of my names is when she is yelling at me, heh.
Well considering I don't really know how to identify a Jewish by just looking at them I couldn't tell you either. I've heard that they have big noses or something but that's pretty much it. I'm not insinuating you have a big nose or anything though, I swear...^_~
Hahaha, I highly doubt that was the case. Guys don't care if your'e a manga fan enough to stare that much at you. I think he was more surprised that a Colombian who looks jewish likes manga, lmao.
It's unfortunate to hear that about Kuroko. I don't let anything get in my way of enjoying something. That's why it's best to ignore KnB fanart and such which isn't a big deal for me anyway but I see why you feel that way. A lot of people have migrated from Kuroko to Haikyu after Kuroko ended and it's hard not to see why, they're both quality. Let's see if Haikyuu turns out to be better though!
Why does she hate medical dramas so much? It's not like it's overused like other themes but it is becoming more common, sure. It's not like you can watch a medical anime either so I don't get but whatever strudels her noodle. Haha, your mom is reading manga all the time? I've never heard that one before! Yeah, well my mom and sister really love anything with a good story so it was pretty much set. I don't know if moms will like the school one, she likes her stories to feature adults and more mature themes plus I don't feel like watching high school, I just got out of it, lol.
Man, I was really disappointed with the ending! I was going to message you on MDL till I realized you mentioned it on here. I really hated how rushed everything felt. A lot of it felt unnatural and just messily put together. I don't know why though, since everything leading up to it felt fine but they really struck out on the ending. A lot of questions came unanswered too. I actually do like the approach of sacrificing Ki Dong Chan for the girl but the lead up to it really wasn't great. The guy that played Ki Dong Chan delivered one of the better performances I have ever seen in a drama, played his role to perfection. I look forward to his future projects. All in all though, it was a really good show, just a couple bumps at the end that hurt it a bit.
The first couple minutes of YWCFTS was so cheesy with the UFO and stuff that I immediately switched over to start God's Gift instead, haha.
Oh I see now, I would really regret that too. Haha, if you like pasta then I must be even pickier than you because I can't stand the stuff. Seriously, I once went to Olive Garden and stared at the menu for like 20 minutes and ended up ordering some soup. NEVER going there again.
Well 480p ain't too bad. I guess it's inferior if your'e used to the crisp 1080p like I am but yeah I guess you have to watch what you can get.
Well I have never downloaded a full length Korean drama since like you said, it's too huge, but I do have a couple batch torrents for anime which downloaded fairly quick. The thing you have to look at is the # of seeders, when that number is high, the amount of time it takes to download is lower but you probably know that. But it's definitely possible to separate those files, all you have to do click the torrent that you want to download and click on the box of the episode you want to download and it'll only download that episode. Normally uTorrent selects everything in the torrent to be downloaded but you can change this before it actually starts downloading. If you want to do it again, delete that torrent, and select another episode. Rinse and repeat. That's only for batch torrents btw.
Ooh that sounds pretty terrible. Well I guess you're scarred for life if that's the case. Well Brother Bear might actually change your mind a bit plus it's a classic Disney flick. I was on a Disney binge this last weekend after officially watching Frozen for the very first time. I really came in not knowing anything about it though aside from wikipedia and some commercials so it was all new to me, even the music! Side note: I forgot how much singing there is in Disney movies, SERIOUSLY! It took me back though, so it was good and bad all in one. Anywho, me and the sis really enjoyed the movie, so much so we ended up looking for covers of the songs on YT(there was a K-Pop cover boom for the song Let it Go which was also surprising). But yeah, me and my sister were REALLY late to Frozen's party but I guess it was worth it since we didn't get overexposed earlier on. As for the movie, I actually really enjoyed it and it was certainly one of the better Disney's in a while. I don't know why people are over-analyzing it likes it's Mushishi or something. It's typical Disney, nothing more nothing less.
Well people always call any RPG made after Final Fantasy, A 'FF' clone so I wanted to see why people hold it as the standard for RPG's I'll definitely pick up the HD remake of Final Fantasy X which is supposedly the greatest FF or something. I'm really weird with the RPG's I pick since they usually go away from the typical FF mold: Paper Mario and Earthbound come to mind.
Yeah I will definitely pick Dream High one day, especially since JYP is in it. I call him the Korean Michael Jackson, haha. But that's it as far school dramas go.
Yeah I still haven't been able to watch the rest of Doctor Stranger since schedules are kind of clashing right now but I've been watching other stuff in the meantime. Yeah I actually haven't realized that's it not all that medical until you mentioned it. I guess it's so good in other aspects that I forgot.
If anything we should have it appear as a comic relief character so all the other characters can make fun of it. That'd be the best choice! Hahaha, I'm kidding but that thing is not cute.
Yes lobsters as well as everything else swimming in the sea, oh and SHRIMPS, the food of the gods! Oh goodness I need some shrimp in my life right now...
Cats are cool when they're little then their perks disappear once they grow up. They just become old and grumpy for some reason. You should watch Chi's Sweet Home to relieve your kitty cat needs.
I was the total oppostie when I was a kid. I was a fan of that other hero aka Sonic's arch nemesis turned ally, aka the big nosed plumber from Brooklyn, aka Super Mario! To be honest, I never really knew much about Sonic other than the TV show but his games were never that interesting to me. I think it might have been illegal to be a fan of both back in the day too...so that might have been why I never touched any of his games, heh.
I know a lot of people like that actually. I think it's kind of people when people do it though, it gives a sense of mystery if someone doesn't know your name. It also allows people to see who your close friends really are. I think I would have done the same with my middle name had it not been the same as my dad's name but it is what it is. It's definitely the one of the more hispanic parts of my name that's for sure. I guess I should tell you it since I left you hanging for a while last time we exchanged names, haha. Well the name's Javier. I actually think this name is a better representation of me but there were so many Javi's back in the day so they just named me Bryan and moved Javier to the middle name. Thanks for the funny story though Mary Isabel(a). ^^
Yes of course! I mean I doubt having you standing in front of the manga section is what caught his attention so there's not really another alternative, if anything it was a plus for him. Besides even if you don't about that sort of thing personally, you've had plenty of shojo manga to take notes from. You can always play the shy girl/popular boy role so don't lose too much hope. Plus you're Colombian and that's always a good thing!
Miracle in a Cell? Well it was pretty hard to follow for most of the movie but the characters and acting was terrific and the message of the movie was quite clear by the time it was done. It was a definitely an emotional movie with some good laughs here and there. I don't know how much I can hold off not waiting for Kuroko, especially since the NBA Finals just ended yesterday so I might need my basketball fix later on in the summer. Haikyu's anime has been great but I'm kind of suprised you're putting it ahead of Kuroko already. I mean I'm living Haikyu but Kuroko's characters are really the top of the class but we'll see.
Yeah I'm actually not full caught up but I'm not too far behind. Surprisingly I've been watching this series with my mother and sister so they're going to join for the entire ride. It's been great so far! My mom actually cried at the end of episode one when Park Hoon's dad died (she thought it was a movie I had put on). I was llike "how can you cry so much in the first episode? Later on she got mad at me when I told her it was a full TV series and I quote: "You can't be doing this to me! You know I barely have any time for novelas so how am I going to have time for this?! You know we have to finish this together now right (in spanish)?" I just smiled and put on the next episode. We watched seven episodes in one day. I've actually watched in spanish subs so she can enjoy it more.
Cool cool, I'm planning on starting God's Gift or YWCFTS next on my own but I'm having a hard time choosing. I've watched a couple more movies in the meantime though.
Hey it's food for the soul! It's cool that your family is like that. We really eat unhealthily but we're slowly changing that.
Man what didn't I eat. I ate shrimp, I ate lobster, I ate this soup they gave us which was alright not great. Well I just ate a whole mess of food which I barely even know the name of. All I know is that it was delicious and we're definitely going again! At the end, me and my sister wanted to say arigato to the chef but we totally forgot and he walked away before we could do it to...next time though.
Really? I don't know how you can bear anything from 360p and down, unless it's the old stuff which I try to bear but end unsatisfied. I don't know what it is with me but just seeing high quality just makes a show that much more enjoyable to me in many aspects. To top ot off, you're watching it on a tiny screen, good Lordy..but that's just me being picky.
Yeah I think they'll retain some of the japanese elements that are specific for its scene but for the most part, it'll be the same. Korea and Japan as a culture aren't worlds apart from each other so it'll be a smooth transition in my opinion.
Yeah the torrent turns into some type of media file and the files from that can be converted into any file you want if you're using the right program to convert it. So eys torrents are possible!
The best part of the movie was when the main girl shot the arrow towards the committee people. I think Jennifer Lawrence played her role quite well but the rest of the cast was pretty meh for the most part. Bears are a phobia? Hahaha, I'm guessing you never had a Build-a-Bear growing up. I think watching Brother Bear might also alleviate you in that regard.
Ooh sounds rough, and as repetitive as RPG's can get during battles that must have sucked. I haven't much if any experience with Square Enix over the years but I've heard they've fallen pretty far from the RPG pedestal. Fun fact: I've never played a Final Fantasy in my life!
What's the site that you use for all this stuff? I don't think I'll watch any drama that takes part in a schools. I think I have enough anime in that type of setting. By the way, I'm actually enjoying Lee Jong Suk's acting so far, his character is quite likable in Doctor Stranger. You better pray to the heavens Bridal Mask gets added, you're missing out!
Yeah it resembles a human...who has had venom injected into its face...Heh, I think you're alone on this one Iz. It stills looks sort of like a deformed Mr. Saturn, and that is pushing it.
Not exciting enough? How exciting can fish get? Their just moving their little fins back and forth (jellyfish aren't that much different). Lobsters mostly just sit idle in one place, so this excitement business you're talking about doesn't really go well with me, haha.
Yeah my sister settled on her name now. I think we're a couple months too late but oh well. Honestly I know jack squat about Sonic aside from the show I used to watch from him back when I was a kid. I believe it was Sonic X. I barely found out that was actually an anime only a couple years ago. From what I saw of the redesigns, it seems like wrapping tape is back in style...and Knuckles...oh poor Knuckles..
Well I'm the type of person that usually doesn't call anyone by the same name all the time. e.g. For instance, I call my cousin who's name is Jonathan, Jona, some days I call him Jon, other days I get a bit more creative and call him Joe Nathan, and there are days where I just get lazy and call him 'Niño'. So get used to it Izzy! Haha, yeah peeps always want to americanize names and make up their own pronunciation AND spelling. You don't know how many times people have written down 'Brian' instead of 'Bryan', ugghh! Haha that's cool! Congrats to Ah-na, she must have worked hard!
Well I hope you can get all those things worked out so you can become a professional book shelver! Your future looks bright Iz! Haha, your evil might have rubbed off on me without rubbing back on you.
But how did it get INFESTED, it couldn't have been one or two sweets that did all that right? That candy must have accumulated over the months, jeez.
Hahaha, why would they be staring at you? I guess they must be amazed of seeing a living, breathing, gnome at a library. That's my only guess. ;) Seriously though, you should check out that club just to see what its like. It couldn't hurt just to see right? Get your feet wet a little Iz, you might enjoy it. what if you find another manga snob, you'll be fwends fo life!
Awww, that guy must have a had a major crush on you. I give him credit for trying though. That must have been when you were a bit younger huh? Haha, that's kind of cute in a creepy way. That guy was seriously lacking in the smoove moves department, that is NOT how you approach a girl. Haha, thanks for sharing all library encounters, that was fun to read!
I might watch that down the line since it seems pretty short and the story is interesting. Yeah, I've not watched anything of Good Doctor. I was pretty determined to watch it but I wanted to get some anime out of the way. I just finished Kuroko no Basuke in the process, and now I'm pumped up for season 3! I think I might finally read the manga if the wait becomes too long, but not likely. I caught up on Haikyu as well. I've been thinking of writing a sports anime blog on AA from all these series I've been watching. I been trying to balance my anime and drama intake lately. This last week I finally watched Miracle in a Cell No. 7 and the Anohana movie. Still can't pick which one hit me harder in the feels department.
Haha your dad is really something else, just pull up that air mattress for the time being. ;)
Fortunately (or unfortunately) no one fell. Thanks though. I really had a great day. I went to one of those Japanese restaurants where they cook all the food in front of you! It was quite the experience.
I'll probably settle for that $60 price tag if I can find a Blu-ray for it. So far I am only finding DVD's for my favorite shows.
Well the reason it reaches up to 20 GB is because each episode usually reaches 1 GB since I download almost everything in 720-1080p. I really can't stand low quality so I think my problems are only going to get bigger as files get bigger, heh. Oh siblings, if only they'd enjoy everything we did, it would be so much fun.
Yeah I always wondered how they handle all the translations from Japan to Korea, either way, time will tell. We still have a lot of time before that even airs anyways. But I must say, if this story has been adapted into so many formats, it must be pretty darn good.
Torrents are the greatest things since sliced bread, come on now! If you want, I can give you a quick tutorial on how torrents work and stuff. Torrents allows you to get anything, from books to workout videos to antivirus programs, it really is a wonderful thing, hahaha.
Oh yeah I know exactly what you mean. It wasn't spectacular by any means but I guess I have to watch the second film to really get into it (my cousin's going to force me anyways). Haha, but you have to admit that the blonde guy was pretty much asking to be killed by those dogs the way he was acting. I guess the most I can take from this film is that Jennifer Lawrence is pretty darn cute,
Part everyone hates? What could that be? I've heard good things of that game too, alas I don't have a 3DS still.
I know how uncomfortable it could be but it'll only be an hour of your time if you just stream one Bridal Mask episode. Either way, I'll make it my personal mission to find a website that you can download Bridal Mask so don't worry, I'll find a way!
Oh jeebus, isn't that thing considered the ugliest animal in the world or something? If anything, it looks like Mr. Saturn so I guess it could be cute but definitely not adorable, oh no. You really are a strange one. Can't even set foot near the ocean but yet you want all the animals in it! Haha, what ever floats your boat (you better hope it doesn't sink either). But definitely, get like a clownfish or something, those are actually capable of surviving in your fish tank if you take care of it. You're near the ocean too so you can probably buy salt water easily.
Haha, I just told my sister about it today and it totally reminded her of this TV show character that she hated so that's a no go, oh well. You know, I keep thinking your name is Isabela but then I go back to Kik and double check and find out it's Isabel. i've done this various times now...
You could definitely create a subliminal message by shuffling the letters of the books in a certain order, there's always a way! Although now that I think about it, I'm sounding more malevolent then you right about now. Haha, you don't need to drive, my sister working and she doesn't drive. Although I do have to take her to work most of the time..
I'm telling you, that movie scarred me for life so I don't think it's going away anytime soon. Yeah I don't know if you're eating one too many sweets but I don't think you should be INFESTED with sugar ants in your room. Not even Puerto Rico is that bad unless it's the kitchen.
Yeah I remember back in the day, you could catch quite a few kids at the manga section at a time. There was even an anime club there before but I don't know if that still exists.
Yes, you need to watch it somehow, if anything, for the characters alone. I think you'd enjoy it. Wow, that's actually an oddly short series for a Kdrama, usually Jdramas have 10 episode series. I won't tell you that I'll watch that one but the Grandpa one definitely sounds like a funny one (can't have too many funny series). That's another thing that's great about HotS! It knows when to be funny and when to be serious as well as dramatic and sad. Two thumbs up from me! P.S. I actually don't listen to Super Junior so I don't know about any of those guys.
I'll get on the hype train soon enough, don't worry!
Hahaha, you can interpret it anyway you wish.
I'll already replied to this on the other comment, lulz. Actually a few of these. GET A COUCH!
*Yeah I think that's exactly what happened! but I swear I remember typing it though, hmm. Anyways I'm back to replying quickly now that I'm basically a NEET until Target calls me back, heh. My graduation is Saturday, aren't you excited for me?
Yeah I've checked that site but man that's some booty! How am I supposed to support the industry if they can't even make Good Doctor available? It's actually more convenient to have that in disc form instead of it taking up 20 GB on my HDD, hmph! Please tell me if you ever do come across a deal on that series though!
Whut seriously?! How are there so many episodes out already? It's weird how they do two episodes in a week, it'll probably be done by next month. I guess I'll have to catch up quickly and finish the remainder of HotS (6 more episodes). Only took 2 months...
And trust me it's not bad, I've just had trouble managing time but I should get it done this week. The characters are really the highlight of this show though, ESPECIALLY Lee Bum Soo! My goodness, that guy steals half of his scenes. I think I'll pick up that behemoth of a drama called "Giant" just cause of him, and a few more actors, but mostly him.
Hmm, I'll try my best to not get too far behind and let you know my thoughts.
I have the confidence that Joo Won has the ability to play any role he chooses honestly. You can grow to hate him (Bridal Mask) just as much as you can grow to love him (Good Doctor). Yeah I know Chiaki the main character but I heard that Nodame gets most of the screen time so that's why I said that. It's crazy though, I've always wondered how actors get picked for these type of roles where playing an instrument plays a key part of the character. Like do they pick actors who actually know how to play the instrument, or they do learn as much as they can on the fly, or are the instruments prerecorded and played by someone else? Can't wait for it though!
TORRENTS, TORRENTS, and did I mention TORRENTS? That is all.
Yeah, I'm actually going to be forced to watch Hunger Games as part of a deal between me and my cousin. I actually made him watch an anime so now it's up to me do my part. Hope it's not that bad.
Skies of Arcadia. It's known as a classic among 3D JRPGS, and definitely goes away from being a FF clone like other series.
Yeah I know you hate it but the greatness of Bridal Mask will allow you to forget your even watching it on a monitor. PLUS, can't you just set up like a mattress or couch next to your computer or something? "Come on Iz", *gets on knees and grabs on legs*
"Whoa, why is the radius from your legs to the floor so small?!"
;D
Wait do you own that series? If so, where did you buy it? Did you get it through Amazon or do you have a site you recommend? I'm trying to find Good Doctor for a reasonable price but even Amazon barely finds any people selling. Well I guess this answers my question on my other reply but how has Doctor Stranger been?
Yeah, a lot of people didn't really enjoy her acting in Bridal Mask but I really don't understand why. I don't know if I'm blinded by a pretty face (that usually doesn't happen, heh) but I didn't really feel that she was "bad", maybe average, but certainly not bad. Dang, you're even watching Chinese drama now, you're in another league Iz, I can't keep up!
Yeah it's been on my list for around as long as I've been an anime fan but I still have not watched or read anything on it. I think I'll hold out and watch the Korean version first in order to not get poisoned of it not being as great as the Japanese version. I know Joo Won will nail his role but I think it's up to the female lead to carry the show because isn't centered more on the girl anyways?
Yes, you'll never know what comes out of my mouth next, I try to remain some unpredictability. Told ya so, check out the Man From Nowhere, you'll be blown away. Another reason for you to watch more films!
Meh, superheroes aren't really my thing but I guess I can see why people like those movies.
I'm currently playing an RPG on my friends good ol' Dreamcast. It's going to be the first JRPG that I will attempt to finish (hopefully). You just can't deny the greatness of the classics.
I'm telling you just stream these series or download a torrent. It'll make your life much easier. I just found a torrent for HotS right now on Asia Torrents so it's possible. Man, I wish I could just get your iPod and set everything up for you so you can see how convenient it could be.
Oh yes, the luxury of having a hard skull, I know of this quite well. You wouldn't believe the amount of times I have hit my head against someone else's head. More times than not, I would be the saying "ow" and moving along while the other person (or victim) is lying down in pain for 20 minutes. I think this is a gift we should cherish!
Maybe you should start from the ground up and get yourself a goldfish inr order to be prepared for higher maintenance animals, don't ya think? Or are fish not cool enough for thee Iz? Yes, I've heard great things about Princess Jellyfish, mostly about how underrated it is.
Yes, I would name it Sonic and dye his hair blue and call it a day but because she's a gal, it complicates everything (to the point she doesn't have an official name). I call her one thing while my sister calls it another...
Eh, you'll be fine. It's all bout about getting used to it. I'm confident you'll be able to get a job, SOMEWHERE. Maybe you'll be able to make your own slice of life 4 panel comic of your first job experience. The first chapter could be titled: "The Malevolence of Book Shelving".
Yeah because I'm going to carry a lizard outside for it to only come back inside through some other window, or worse yet, call his lizard friends in order to crawl in my mouth in my sleep. God, I really have a phobia for those things....I rather kill it and not suffer the consequences, heh.
Well I see why you spend so much time in the library now. If my library were like that, maybe I'd spend more time in there too. My library manga section sits in the back corner of the library on the far right to the shelf. The section used to be much more accessible and noticeable back when there was a "teen area" but that no longer exists. Anyways, the manga seem to be from the mid 2000's and late 90's. They definitely seem mediocre at best but since I'm not familiar with shojo, I can't say for sure. I sure didn't see a Nana or any other notable shoujo in there, I'll tell you that.
Yeah that's definitely in my top 3 to watch next for sure but I think I have to focus more on my anime once I finish History of the Salaryman, which I have DEFINITELY taken my time with. I finally got back into watching it regularly this week now that I've been rid of my scholastic duties (woohoo!). So did Doctor Stranger start already too?! Maybe I'll watch that ongoing with you so we can experience it together. Sound good?
I'll be skipping Sly and Single for sure then.
Next time I see a lawn gnome, I'll be sure to bow down and apologize for underestimating its tenacity. So *bows down* "Sorry Iz!"
You might as well try to stream Bridal Mask instead of downloading it if that's the case. I'm telling you though, downloading soft subs will probably not be quicker (unless you get it from torrents) but they will definitely be more available. You should watch more films by the way, they suit your technological deficiencies, haha.
*For some reason, I feel like I have replied to this before. Like deja vu or something.
Well as long as his acting is good then I'm all for him. That's why I can't wait to watch that new medical drama he's in with Oh Mok Dan from Bridal Mask! Yeah it's definitely awesome! You'll for sure love it, there are great action sequences throughout that movies as well. I loved the main actor in it so I watched another film of his called Castaway on the Moon with my sister and we laughed our derriere's throughout the whole thing! A Man From Nowhere is actually critically acclaimed and it has Won Bin who according to all drama fans is "The most beautiful man in Korea". He has a very small resume but he is uber popular in whatever he does. People like him for his humble nature and his pickiness with roles.
Wreck it Ralph is pretty good too. Other than those two, I haven't watched anything new from Disney in YEARS.
Sounds good, I've played my fair share of RPG's but I own very few of them. really need a job so I can buy all these wonderful things...sigh.
Sorry I meant I started playing a random MMORPG from the app store, it's not Log Horizon because it doesn't exist, I think.
Well I don't have time for average shows when I got shows like History of the Salaryman to catch up on! Seriously, this show is everything I was looking for and then some! It has the comedy, the drama, the romance, the overarching plot that keeps everything moving! It's just AWESOME. And I'm only on episode 8 at the moment so that should tell you something.
"Man this sucks" that's what you had to say to an almost fatal injury? Wow, your'e something else but I'm glad you're alive! I don't what I'd do without you Iz, ;(
But seriously, be more careful. Your manga will be lonely!
Fur? Well that sucks. You might have to get those jellyfish after all. Hahaha you finally saw the Hedgie? She's a lot chubbier nowadays though which is cute but not a good thing. Thankfully it's getting warmer and we can let her get some real exercise outside.
What can I say, friends were MADE for trolling, every once in a while.
Okay, what would those skills be exactly? Reading every manga that comes in stock does not count by the way, haha. Yeah, I actually had an experience with one of those little lizards at my trip to Puerto Rico. Basically, I was looking for a remote in some of the drawers when suddenly, a lizard jump out of it and gives me a heart attack. It took me about 15 minutes to eventually kill it with a chancla...
Your library must be stacked with manga because you'd lucky to find even the most popular series over here. There is much shojo in my library, it's overwhelming. The only noteworthy series would be GTO. But yeah, REAL is pretty good from the bit I read.
Yeah my friends told there are only a couple episodes left and that I should get to watching it soon. I'm still sticking to my ones series at a time schedule, it's more convenient that way. I'm just sticking to Korean dramas till I eventually exhaust every good series out there save for some Japanese films that adapt my favorite anime!
Haha, if you keep saying lawn gnome, I'm going to have to picture you as a lawn gnome in my head from now on. Also, the thought of a lawn gnome being tenacious is downright hilarious so I think you might want to pick something else. Yeah me and your family seem to be very similar in that aspect. We also have a habit of whenever we drop someone off at their house, that we actually wait till they go inside their house or apartment before actually leaving.
Why do you want hardsubs? I'm sure you can find an app that allows you to see soft subs. Just look around, I'm sure you'll find something.
OH, I was thinking of Ojakgyo Brother, I think that's the one that's a little bit longer. By the way, that new movies by Joo Won finally got subbed but supposedly it's not all that great.

"Whoa, why is the radius from your legs to the floor so small?!"
;D
