Anti-Semitism in late 1800s Germany came in 2 varieties. The first was religious based. Martin Luther for example, thought that the only reason Jews hadn't converted to Christianity yet was because the Catholic Church is so fucked up. He really thought that if a better version of Christianity was created, all Jews would immediately convert! When this didn't happen, he got REALLY mad and started saying all kinds of wild shit that the Lutheran Church doesn't like talking about. My family is Lutheran BTW. This type of Anti-Semitism was already in deep decline by the late 1800s and certainly didn't include Nietzsche.
The more common type of Anti-Semitism in Germany was racially based. This group of Anti-Semites didn't give a fuck if Jews converted to Christianity or were atheist or whatever. They hate ethnic Ashkenazim, because they believed they were inferior to ethnic Germans and simply acted as thieves and parasites. Nietzsche never believed this, but his sister unfortunately did. As did Nietzsche's once friend and later enemy Richard Wagner. Although Wagner was cool with Jews that sucked up to him like Mahler, because Wagner's ego was far larger than his racism.
