Well, I've loved Anime for a while, and now am starting to get serious with the whole thing, including Manga. I don't really want to talk about my personal live, and don't have enough experience to make a good favorite Anime/Manga list, so I'll do music. I listen to new music everyday usually, and try to have a wide range and open mind to things, and also completely distrust critics and mainstream opinions, and I'm an rabid hater of Pop music. I've also turned anti-social recently, but that might just be because I live in the country, and everyone I talk to is "just another idiot". I tend to love being against the mainstream as well, it gives me a thrill. I also hate the people who say all new music is crap because they won't listen to anything beyond the radio, yet they praise the same ten extremely famous bands over and over, and ignore all the crap that came out back in the day. I like a lot of old music, and there has been plenty of great music. The only difference is Clear Channel runs the radios, so it's no longer a great place to discover music.
Top 10 Favorite Bands (this list will change a lot, I listen to new music everyday)
1. Prince: Some people may question this after saying I hate Pop, but I was once blind to Prince too. I heard songs like "1999" on the radio, and ignored him thinking "just another crappy eighties pop star", and when I decided to look more into it, I picked up Purple Rain of all albums, which was praised by critics, and by some random people on Amazon, so I gave it a shot. Hated it, it was complete Pop crap as I expected, and it took me a while to recover. I liked "Purple Rain" though (the full song, the edit kills it), and eventually ended up getting a random Prince album, without listening to any opinions. "Come" changed my life, and is still one of the best albums ever made, and ever since then I've come to realize the genius of Prince. Sure the famous stuff like "Purple Rain", "1999", and "Dirty Mind" is complete crap, but if you look deeper, you'll discover amazing music.
