Excuses me now if this comes off terribly as I type this at 1:30 A.M and it's my frist time doing this but I'm an average high school student really, skinny, long brown hair(for a guy at least), 5'7 in height who got into anime around a over a year ago and I've loved it ever since. I find myself to love romances oddly enough(yes I'm straight) but still find something that makes me have to watch it till the end that isn't(ex: Deadman Wonderland, Death Note, Attack on Titan, etc). As a high school student I know some of you people will probably assume that my choices in anime will just be like everyone else's to follow the crowd but I tend to not do that unless I truly believe it. My top 5 list would have go something like this just so you can get an idea of what I find attractive. These will probably have reviews at some point pls forgive me as I am a new member #5 Sword Art Online you guessed it I'm a Huge gamer, #4 School Days yes I know you all H8😡 it with a passion bare with me, #3 Elfen Lied no I'm not a fan of hentai get off my back about naked anime girls, #2 Mirai Nikki, k yea the main charcter Yuki is a noodle dick vaginasaurus. (Ty DrarknessDragoonRose for coming up with my favorite insult ;D) but I fucking love the psychotic killing machine Yuno, And MY PERSONAL favorite anime is Itazuna na kiss. I FUCKING LOVED THIS ANIME. It is the reason I made an account and omg I wish I had something as beautiful of a relationship as those two I mean I feel so lonely now that I don't have a girlfriend or even a girl I like or likes me I'd suggest it to anyone looking for a realistic(don't take that to heart just how I saw it) relationship of people in real life. It made me cry like no other anime has I hope you romantics will love it as well. Now knowing that I will take recommendations but I'm going to tell you now that if it doesn't interest me or if I can't get into it while I'm watching ill stop or not watch it at all. Sorry if this is too long but I hope you enjoyed learning a bit about me.

It's nice to see that you like romance anime because not many people seem to do. I really like romances, but mostly more mature ones with not a ton of comedy in them. (like Josei). Even though love the genre it's hard to find a good one that isn't to cliche.
