what am i doing here again
hi i'm some guy and i post things and do reviews occasionally
my reviews tend to be a bit generalist and i sometimes go back and re-do reviews which i think aren't very good the first time around as i get better and better at being at being a critic (i've re-done my death note review like 3 times and will quite possibly do so again in the future) i am especially critical of the art in manga and anime as i am an aspiring artist myself so the art and visual storytelling of a show or book matters a lot to me.
my rankings are primarily based on enjoyment but i do try to give a proper analysis of a work's strengths and weaknesses when i review stuff. here's a small breakdown of how my ratings work:
9-10: Not perfect, but does so much good that the flaws don't really matter compared to the sheer excellence that it offers. These works also connect with and appeal to me on a very personal level, either offering something unique and interesting and executing it perfectly or near perfectly and being extremely strong in many areas, including visuals, soundtrack, writing, etc.
7-8:- Above average, good works that I will recommend, but which don't quite have that deep personal connection or sheer excellence that elevates them to the next level. Due to this the flaws may stand out more as well.
6 - Series that are above average in some regards and may have something to offer, but which ultimately feel very weighed down by their flaws and ultimately my experience with it leaves me feeling disappointed due to wasted potential.
5: Mediocre works that don't really stand out in any significant way.
4-1 : This is where things start getting actively bad and/or boring. These works may have a handful things that are decent or even good, but will contain elements that are so offensively bad that the show is basically utter garbage and not worth anyone's time.
Overall I wouldn't say I am a huge fan of numerical scores, but my view on stuff like this is that it isn't how many flaws a work has that determine its excellence, but how strong its strenghts are. A show or manga can have a lot of minor or even noticeable flaws, but if its good elements are truly excellent it will still be a worthwhile experience. Meanwhile a show can basically do everything "competently" but not be super interesting or memorable.
see you around i guess

I've got family in southern Brazil, really cool place.
I really liked you reviwe and was actually quite surprised not to find Vagabond among your favourites after reading it, is there any particular reason?
Oh and from where in South America are you from if I may ask? I'm from there as well ^^
And also what would be your favorite Jojo arc?
