Check out my drama list: http://mydramalist.com/dramalist/DeleteSystem32
**Please note that this list is incomplete. This list's purpose is mainly for keeping track of what I've seen. I try to keep it as accurate as possible but I'm probably forgetting at least a few series. I only add anime that are at least ~20 min long, so my list is missing a few short films. I also normally don't add anime I drop at episode 1 or 2. I've seen bits and pieces and random episodes of many, many anime, but they're not on my list because to me it doesn't matter how many entries my list has. Anyway, I have no idea where I'm going to read all the manga in my backlog...

My TOP 10 ANIME I REGRET WATCHING/SHOULD HAVE DROPPED SOONER:
1-2. Hetalia Axis Powers/Elfen Lied
3. Yugioh
4. Inuyasha
5. Darker than Black (especially season 2)
5. Suisei no Gargantia
6. Mononoke
7. Boogiepop Phantom
8. A toss up between Parasyte and D.N.Angel
9. FMA Brotherhood *dodges arrows*
10. Space Brothers
Because I could have totally done something productive instead!
My TOP 10 ANIME PET PEEVES:
1. Boring self insert MC
2. High school setting/parents never around (ugh)
3. Uncreative premises such as the "trapped in a game world" recent cliché
4. Loli/shota/other gross fetishes
5. Excessive fanservice as well as a disrespectful portrayal of female characters in general
6. Otaku pandering and the inclusion of otaku characters to increase sales-I hate this. I watch anime for escapism, not to be reminded of my own patheticness
7. Characters who never change or grow (without good reason)
8. Plot points that revolve around stupid misunderstandings
9. Tsunderes. Also when the unremarkable MC inexplicably gets his own harem and all the girls love him
10. Anime that don't actually utilize the medium of animation- anime should be different from live action, otherwise what's the point? Why not make it be live action if it's not going to do anything different?
Here are some of my personal fav genres: Fantasy, Sci fi, Psychological, Mystery (tho there aren't a whole lot of good mystery anime out there), Drama, Music, Police, Josei, Seinen, and Iyashikei. I'm "meh" on comedy (I think you have to be Japanese to truly get it), horror (again, there just aren't enough good horror anime that I've seen), and action/adventure (it really depends on the anime). I tend to stay away from hentai, ecchi, yaoi & yuri, pointlessly gory/overly violent & grimdark stuff, shounen & shoujo/kid's anime, sports anime (sorry, boring), mecha (I am a stereotypical westerner who prefers superheros to giant robots), and slice of life romcoms (too melodramatic). I like anime that are unique, self-reflective and more cinematic, as well as arthouse-y and niche. I want different anime, but I fear for the industry's future.
My TOP 10 ANIME THAT MADE ME CRY:
1. Fruits Basket
2. Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
3. Haibane Renmei
4. Tokyo Ghoul √A
5. Trigun
6. Death Note
7. Madoka Magica
8. Wolf's Rain OVA
9. Death Parade
10. Mushishi
;____;

6. Shuhei Morita
7. Mamoru Hosoda
8. Mamoru Oshii
9. Kunihiko Ikuhara
10. Rie Matsumoto
The reason Hideaki Anno isn't on this list is I haven't seen enough of his work yet.
My TOP 5 COMPOSERS & TOP 5 ANIME OST:
1. Yoko Kanno
2. Yuki Kajiura
3. Toshio Masuda
4. Hideki Taniuchi

2. Teen Titans
3. Code Lyoko
4. Spongebob (pre movie)
5. Invader Zim (don't judge...)
Courage the Cowardly Dog and a bunch of other classic cartoon network cartoons just barely missed the cut.
