Hey! Name's Pekka and i'm somewhere over 20 years old. I started watching anime, when i was a little boy, say about ten years old probably. My first anime that i saw was Galaxy Express 999. I bought the videos from a local shopping mall and that way i got roots for anime and japanese tv. If you've seen GE999 even for just a few episodes, you know that i was actually a bit frightened of the show's horror and darkness/depression. But to me it was a really interesting and touching show and that's a big reason why i'm still a friend of anime. Saying that, i didn't actually got to see many other anime's when i was a young boy. Mainly because in the 90's they didn't sell animes nearly at all in finland. Especially where i lived, because it's a small state. I really started to begin watching anime regularly in the age 17-18, when i bumbed into an anime called Fullmetal Alchemist. From that on, i'v been investigating new animes pretty frequently. Well, as a kid i really didn't know that so many shows were animes. So Galaxy Express 999 wasn't my first anime -show, but it must have been Moomins and Alfred J. Kwak cos they both started to run at the beginning of the 90's. Well i guess, that wraps the "my introduction to anime" -part. =)
I think myself as a loyal and good person in general, at least i would never hurt anyone intentionally. So if you want to talk about something or just say hi. Do so, thanks. Other hobbies include taking walks, reading manga, watching tv (sports/tv-series/movies), listening to music (a lot) and playing videogames. Althought my inspiration for gaming does disappear from time to time.. Actually i'v been listening so much music, that i really haven't had the time to sit down and play videogames. My favorite genre is rpg-games, games which take you to a deeper level, because they usually last around 30-75 hours. But it's worth it, if the story of the game keeps interesting enough.
As i earlier mentioned, i do listen a lot of music nowadays. It ranges almost to anykind of genre: rock, pop, house, electro, electropop, synthpop, techno, trance, progressive trance, dance, jpop, cantopop, metal, classic and many other genres too which names i don't know. To mention some singers that have impressed me with their vocals would be: alan, maaya sakamoto, kaori mochida and ayumi hamasaki.
I prefer to watch anime's with original voice acting, because some series may have been badly dubbed or then it doesn't sound and look so realistic when they're speaking english. Of course there are those animes that have seen great dubbing like xxxHolic for instance. Best anime i'v seen thus far is definitely Elfen Lied and it's really hard getting past that amazing anime, but there's always a little chance that something amazing is yet to be seen..
