On a beaucoup de films connus localement. Un film québécois récent que j'ai bien aimé, c'est Vampire humaniste cherche suicidaire consentant. Mais quand certains de nos films intéressent les Français, ils préfèrent plutôt en faire des remakes (comme Fonzy qui est le remake de Starbuck). Sinon un classique québécois, ça pourrait être Bon Cop, Bad Cop. Pour résumé, c'est un peu comme un Rush Hour Canadien où un policier Ontarien anglophone et un policier Québécois francophone doivent s'unir pour arrêter un tueur en série. Mais ça joue beaucoup sur des stéréotypes qui sont probablement mal connus des Français alors je sais pas trop ce qu'ils en penseraient.
Je m'efforçais de trouver d'autres chansons françaises que je connais et je pensais en avoir trouvé quand l'existence de la comédie musicale Notre-Dame de Paris m'est revenue en tête... Mais après vérification, les chansons ont été écrites par un Québécois?? Ça m'étonne que les Français aient accepté ça.
En parlant de trucs français, j'ai remarqué l'existence d'un film sur le Comte de Monte-Cristo sorti en 2024 (il a été récemment ajouté à une plateforme de streaming canadienne). Est-ce que tu l'as vu?

Ahlala, je sens la honte monter à devoir partager ce que j'écoute quand je suis fâchée. Mais j'ai pas de titre précis; je n'ai pas l'habitude d'écouter ça normalement. Je met souvent au hasard des playlists Youtube de metalcore où ça geule un peu n'importe comment. Quoi qu'une des playlists avait une chanson de Pierce the Veil et depuis j'ai commencé à écouter ce band un peu plus même dans mes moments de joie. J'aime particulièrement l'album Collide with the Sky.
Des chanteurs ou groupes français? Euh... Daft Punk? J'ai absolument rien d'autre qui me vient en tête. J'ai l'impression que beaucoup d'artistes québécois essaient de percer en France, mais que le contraire n'est pas tant vrai. On est un trop petit marché, je suppose. Mais si tu as des recommendations incontourbables, j'y suis toujours ouvert.
Et de ton côté, qu'est-ce que tu en penses des Cowboy Fringants?

Those sound like great suggestions! I'll take my time to check each of them more carefully. But the gifs alone already make me want to watch them; beautiful animation. Not sure if I'm a tomboy enthusiast, but I'm being swayed by Iria's character design. You also just reminded I had planned to read Shin Vampire Miyu a long time ago. Guess the OVA might be a good entrance point meanwhile (and probably easier to find than the manga).
Ah, and I managed to find 11-nin iru after all. Just had to use different search keywords. The English title worked fine. Will watch soon. :)
As before with Venus Senki, I'll let you know when I watch anything.
On my side of things, I'm going through another period of having a fucked up (non-)schedule after I lost sleep a few times around the end of 2024. Lethargic during the day, restless at night. So I'm just trying to use the little energy I have to get some reading done and work through some personal "to do" lists while I try to fix that.
That and all the anime in my PTW list.

Hey! On est capable de parler un français parfaitement compréhensible (si on le souhaite). Mais c'est bien si tu apprécies le Québec. Un certain autre utilisateur français de CD (aux tendances un peu arrogantes) semble pas tant apprécier ma patrie.

Hey, sorry for the disappearance. Besides being busy, I admit I was also a bit hesitant about the question of what I like. I never gave that much thought, since I try to watch a bit of everything. But I guess, going by my statistics, that I'm drawn to drama, sci-fi, suspense/thriller, psychological/philosophical stuff, and horror and mystery stuff. Though I clearly like comedy and casual things as well. So not really easy to define. haha

By the way, I haven't seen Area 88 yet (I'll get to it eventually), but I'm willing to take another 80s or 90s anime recommendation, if you know any interesting titles of sci-fi, action, thriller, mystery, horror etc.
Yeah the OVA is very good, great mechanical animation It looks so fluid and dynamic. Nowadays it's all CGI looks like any ps2 game. the story entertaining as well. The TV series is not as good, but still watchable IMO.
