NOTE I no longer particularly enjoy ranking or rating anime, so if you really want to know my opinion on anything, just ask me. My favourites are not ordered outside of my top 1 in each category

The rest of this profile is very outdated and hasn't been updated since 2023. I don't intend on updating it either but I'll keep it here regardless as a sign of history.


The above lists DO NOT feature multiple entries from the same series unless stated otherwise. For example, Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0 will not fill up 2 individual entries on my top 30 list (They are included as one package).

In terms of my favourites down below:
Umineko Episode 8 represents the ep 8 manga and the entirety of the VN
Higurashi, White Album 2 and Chaos;Head represent their respective visual novels (C;H represents Chaos;Head NOAH specifically)



10: Minimum requirement; it must literally change my life. Of course, this isn't an instant ticket to a 10/10, it must also be endlessly entertaining, thought-provoking, or feature some other specialized quality. Note that a 10/10 doesn't have to be objectively flawless, what matters is how perfect I believe it is.

9: Absolutely phenomenal. Entries I gave 9 can come under 2 categories; I didn't resonate with them too deeply but they were inherently flawless and thought provoking OR it did resonate with me but certain objective flaws dragged it down.

8: Minimum score required for my stamp of recommendation. Brilliant, thought-provoking and something I would re-watch (unless it's too damn long). I hold these in very high regard, but this is the point where how much I like something subjectively doesn't outweigh objective criticisms.

7: Pretty damn good. I have very few gripes with these shows, however they aren't exceptional enough to warrant a higher score.

6: Just 'decent'. Nothing too special, nothing I would want to rewatch, but it has positives that drag it away from raw mediocrity.

5: The epitome of 'I don't really care'. Generally these entries are quite boring and lack the spice that makes me actually want to have a strong opinion on them.

4-1: All of these scores are just bad. It's just a matter of ranking how much I hate them.

I don't watch non-sequel seasonals & I barely handle watching more than 2 anime at a time. I spend more of my time having a life lmao
