I ought to mention that I was previously known as "Aceid".
This tragic nickname was by a quick onlook completely unpronounceable, and thus, I changed it.

So what anime do I like?
When I'm searching for something new to watch I tend to include words like romance and drama. Be it comedy or tragedy, I'll watch it as long as it's influenced by romance.
But I'm not really a mono-railer, and unlike most people (it seems) romance got me into anime via Chobits. And then I started to watch Shounen.
And with that said, YES, I do watch mainstream Shounen shows.
As long as they are somewhat well executed, like One Piece.
Though I wouldn't say One Piece is mainstream.
What anime do I NOT like
This one is quite simple. I do not like anime solely focused on mecha, space, sports or action.
Now you're probably thinking "And yet you gave Eureka SeveN 10/10?".
Yes I did. Eureka SeveN is an anime about Renton and Eureka, not about mecha.
The same goes for Full Metal Panic.
As a drama anime fanatic, I always concentrate on the drama parts and keep my thumbs crossed for more character development.
How do I rate anime?
I might as well keep this one uncensored since people may really wonder why there are so many highly rated anime in my list, even though some of them may not have recieved such a nice greeting from others.
Well, it's not about arts or animation. Acceptable art and animation are like a passing grade to me. I won't even watch something that is horribly animated, or worse yet horribly drawn. Luckilly, I haven't watched anything that crappy, yet.
Partially the same thing goes for voice acting as well. Story? May be so. A good story always gives an anime potential.
And most commonly a higher rating. Character development?
Definatelly this has a big impact on the rating.
But the thing is, some good anime has a total lack of character development.
So that's not completely it.
I can't describe it any more clear than feeling, atmosphere and emotional impact.
If an anime unables me to sit still and forces me to walk around my room for 5 minutes before allowing me to continue watching [Example: Death Note]: It's insta-10.
If an anime emitts such a dense atmosphere that I get completely disconnected from reality [Example: Mushishi]: It's insta-10.
If an anime makes me cry for several minutes because of either sadness or happiness [Example: ef - a tale of memores and Elfen Lied]: It's insta-10.
And so on.
And note that this only happens in anime that I DO like.
That's about it.
Yeah..
Well, see you at the IRC channel or at the forums.
