Since everyone's doing it, I'll explain how I organize my anime's and manga's ratings. (to make it less complicated, I'll only talk about anime, but it applies to manga as well)

10/10 Only anime in my top 5 get this mark. Of course, I'm in love with these series, however the reason isn't necessarily the same. An anime doesn't need to be perfect to have this rating ; it's more like how I felt viewing it. So, this rating is rather subjective ; I might think that some animes are overall better than these, but don't make me feel this feeling (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about).

9/10 These are the other that are really good, but can't be in my top 5. They just didn't have this feeling, but they were still really great.

8/10 These surprised me. They generally are better than I thought, even though they're not good enough to be higher. It can also be animes too cliché or of a type I don't really like (like shounen), but which were so beautifully made that I had no choice but to like them.

7/10 These generally live up to my expectations. They don't surprise me, but they are still very enjoyable. I could also use this rating for anime worth a 8 if it didn't had something that tickles me (like it's way too predictable). So, overall, I enjoyed these series for what they were, but nothing more.

6/10 Correct, but not too good. It somehow didn't live to my expectations ; it wasn't that bad, it was just like... average. Nothing surprised me and it wasn't that beautiful. I would recommend these to fans the genre ; they'll like it, but others might find it boring.

5/10 Not worth watching. It wasn't so bad as to scream out of pain seeing it, but it's just... not worth taking the time to view it.

4(and below)/10 If I had to come back, I'll never watch it. Really bad, ugly or too cliché... Between 4 and 0,5, there's no real difference ; if I felt like it was just a waste of time, I'll rate it 4 ; if I was shoked (which doesn't happen that often, except if it's full of fanservice or really just ecchi) or if it's really bad in all ways, it might get lower. It only depends on how I felt after viewing it. I'll never recommend these to anyone, even if they're fans of the genre.

Ok, now, I have to make a difficult revelation ; I love yaoi. I don't know why, I don't know how, but I like it. However, since it's always so cliché, I have another way of organizing my ratings, so here it goes:

8(or higher)/10 It isn't possibly a yaoi... or at least, I won't think it's yaoi only, even if there is truly love between two men. For me, yaoi = cliché, and clichéd series can't have this mark. So, either way, it's not possible.

7/10 Really good yaoi, I enjoyed it and were perhaps a little surprised by some turns of events. However, it is still yaoi, and I won't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like this genre.

6/10 Very enjoyable, but still clichéd and all... It was overall good, but had some minor details which tickled me. I'd recommend it to fangirls.

5/10 Watchable, but still had something that tickled me so much that I couldn't fully enjoy it. I'd recommend it, but not too much.

4(or lower)/10 Horrible, for a reason or another... If it's only because it's just not my type or doesn't seem a little real, it'll have a 4. If it shocked me (I'm not into violence without a good reason or incest without some guilt or at least a little hesitation... I mean, it's not accepted in our society, they can't do it without feeling a little wrong or so I think...), or just don't seem to have love at all, it might get lower. I wouldn't recommend unless you're really into it...

PS: Sometimes I just have to finish a serie, even though it's really bad ; some other time, I can't watch it till the end, even if it isn't that bad... I don't really know why, I think maybe it's because I was just more predisposed to see them or just hoped they got better with time (which normally doesn't happen, but I still hope it will...).

PPS: My ratings change often, because I'm always unsure... But it won't change that greatly (like 10 to 1), just one or two points maybe...
