I don't read manga all the time. The reason I'm reading Linebarrels of Iron is because the Gonzo adaptation is incomplete.

I also love how Miu Kujou's character arc got completed. Better and more original than just a docile girl with a robot as shown in the anime. Her being an aspiring pop princess helps add more depth to her story or completing her character development.

As for Sorcerer Hunters, said woman told me that the manga or light novel has interesting or surprising side characters that never appeared in the 1995 anime. Would like to get to know them some time.

So yeah! I also read manga for details, bonus content or things I didn't know about characters. Before I read Trigun Maximum, I didn't know who Livio or Elendira were.

I also find Midvalley The Hornfreak's backstory in Maximum to be more detailed, complete and realistic. Now he's one of my favorite characters now that I know the real him.

Sometimes, the source material changes the way you feel about characters in very surprising ways.

I also plan on catching up with the Tenchi OVA stuff. Tench Universe is definitely my favorite in the franchise and Achika is the best anime mom ever (reminds me of how cool my high school crush was).
