I wouldnt call toradora a slice of life anime, it just doesnt have any fantasy or adventure elements. Rather than being a fantasy romance, like spice and wolf, it is a drama romance. The main focus of both anime is the romance element, the diference is the setting used to tell the story. Spice and wolf is a little more intense with the edge of your seat moments, and toradora is a little more light on the intenseness, but it does still have its moments in that regard. Setting aside, an anime with romance as its main plot, is ultamately judged on how well the romance is developed, and i think toradora wins in that regard. The spice and wolf anime doesnt have an actual ending and Toradora does, the romance between lawrance and holo, and ryuuji and taiga, have a similar feeling, but in my opinion ryuuji and taiga had more chemistry. Toradora also has better supporting characters. Tip: if you do watch toradora, you have to watch the last episode to the very end, the real end doesnt come till after the credits on episode 25.
If you like spice and wolf, you will probably like Toradora too. I just finished it, literaly 5 minutes ago, so im still a little hyped over it, but i think it was better than spice and wolf. And I personaly really liked spice and wolf. But anyway, check it out, im sure you'll like it.
Yea, plue is in it. He has a more important role in rave than in fairy tail. I think hiro just included plue in fairy tail to kind of link his work together, since plue just shows up a little bit. In Rave plue is acttualy important to the plot.
I am reading the manga a long with watching the anime, and i just started both but there have already been some minor differences. Personaly, i think the manga is better.
But both are quite good, not as much as fairy tail though.
Maybe, a little, the characters look and act similar, and the main characters are both named after seasons in japanese. (natsu=summer) (Haru=spring) but other than that not really.
I see you've started no Fairy Tail (2014). Just a little forwarning, brace yourself for the tartarus arc, Its darker than the rest of the anime, in actual animation tone, and in the story. But i think its the best arc so far. There is one episode you need to prepare yourself for the most, EPISODE 69. I cant even beleive that episode, literally. Its not just the number either. I just wish someone told me it had a good ending, it would have saved me from hyperventilating at least.
It is sad, at times, and happy other times. and there is this one arc thats really sad, but, then you realize its not sad. What i said my be confusing but you will get it at the end. And trust me, even if you feel like dropping it, you have to watch it to the end. The arcs always end in a bittersweet or happy ending. Also if you dont cry, your probably not human.
I saw you started clannad. Are you ready? You have to be prepared, Especially for the second season. I just wish somebody told me it had a happy ending, the last half of the second season will literally reck you. also, you absolutely have to watch the last 10 or so episodes in the same day. Another thing, pay close attention to the random fantasy elements, they are important to the resolution of the story, particularly the "orbs of light" and the "girl in another world clips".
Well I thought Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu was hilarious. At least the first season anyway. The second season was a disappointment, but only because of a certain 8 episode arc that it feels like will never end.
FMA: brotherhood is an awesome series that with all the 64 episodes goes on with almost non stop action. The first 8 episodes or so is about the same as the first episodes of the original FMA. The original FMA followed the story of the manga at first, but because the manga had not gotten that long they continued the story on their own. FMA: brotherhood however follows the manga about as accurate as possible.
In my opinion Shippuden is a lot better than the first series. Every character is a pit more grown up so the show is a bit more serious than the first series. However you still have the same type of humor. Another thing that makes shippuden better is that you get to see the characters grow through the series. In the first series i felt that Naruto didn't really grow at all through the 130 or so canon episodes. So shippuden is defiantly worth checking out, even if you liked the first series just a little.
