Late reply again hahaa XD
and very true!
When i first watched death note i stopped watching at ep 27 2 episodes after that scene cause i didnt like what had happened and didnt like the other character as much. (trying not to say too much and spoil it for someone so i hope that makes sense XD). and i must have rewatched up to ep 25 several times or even just the first 5-10 eps or something until i finally said screw it im going to watch the rest and actually enjoyed it. At that point though it was a good few years after id first seen it and had grown the like the other character more so i enjoyed seeing what he did next but some of the parts were meh.. just wasnt the same. I got my mum to watch it with me last year i think it was and she didnt want to watch past that part either XD after we finished the series she was like.. i still dont like that they did that to that character hahaha XD
when i rewatch bleach its usually just up to the end of the soul society arc. love that arc so much! Cant wait for the final arc to start airing in October!! hope they do it justice! will deffo be rewatching the whole series in preparation for that :D
And the OP and ED for death parade are so good! some of my favs tbh.
Both slayers and mushishi are high on my to watch list tbh! especially mushishi cause i know ill love it! heard of the other 2 too.
You like old animation too? when i first got into anime i wasn't too sure about it but now there's something about it i just love! watch quite a few old shorts and films and will deffo be watching more. will put record of lodoss war on my plan to watch list if i havent got it on already :)
true true!
and yeah something was off about season 2.. tbh i could probs write a full essay on what i didnt like about it but i wont or ill be hear all day/night XD In short i dont think the story worked as well as season 1.. the new mc was annoying for me.. the ending.. WTF was that?!?! explain please anime! also, the way it went from a new part of the story every 2 ep to a normal structure. Season 1 however i can easily rewatch.
and for me probs not XD the lists are growing faster than i can keep up with.
Other are like to go back to... death note ive rewatched too many times to count, Inuyasha, bleach, yuri on ice, the original fruits basket, the empire of corpses, howls moving castle, parts of black butler (skipping last half of season 1 and all of season 2), death parade, durarara (was in the middle of a rewatch but on hold atm), XXXHolic.... those are the main ones i go back to that i can think of off the top of my head. :) what about you?
Sorry for the late reply! and thanks! Nice to find another darker than black fan. was one of my first anime and i still love it (first season only though. The second is meh for me). rewatched it loads over the years. and hahaa yep i watch one and add about 10 more in its place XD
It seems that the Tohoku area still has occasional days with tremors of about 4 on the Japanese seismic scale. The power outage was in the Tokyo area, so it didn't affect me in the countryside.
The vaccination was over with no side effects, just a fever. I feel a bit down because of the rainy days we've been having lately...even replying to MAL's comments is a pain in the ass...some days...
Well, so far, no natural disasters have occurred nearby, so I am able to spend my time as usual. I would like to go see the cherry blossoms in full bloom in some places.
Perhaps because Japan is surrounded by the sea, it doesn't seem like a country that would accept refugees. I have an image that accepting a large number of refugees would inevitably cause problems, but I am relieved to hear your story and know that accepting refugees does not immediately affect the country in any way.
I know I'm late, but I'm okay. The earthquake occurred in the northeastern region of Japan, and I live in the southwestern region, so there were no tremors. It was right around the time I was getting my third round of corona vaccinations, and I wasn't feeling well for a couple of days, so I didn't log in to MAL, so I'm sorry for worrying you.
Well, I live in an area that hasn't had any major earthquakes, so if one happens someday, and my house is close to the ocean, a big tsunami would certainly not help if it happens either.
Isn't your place having a hard time now with the refugee problem?
If you don't want to see spoilers, you don't have to go online, these days.
Sometimes it's just nice to put on the soundtrack and relax! Adesso was like a slice of life set in the countryside. I think it fits the theme.
Rhodes Island Senki" and "Slayers" were originally published by different light novel publishers. If anything, "Lodoss Island Senki" is more of an orthodox fantasy, while "Slayers" has more manga-like descriptions. In Slayers, the gaiden novels were serialized in a monthly magazine, so the main story moves slowly, but the gaiden moves very well. So I don't have the image of it being slow.
Also, I think the reason why Slayers was more popular than Rhodes Island Senki was because the fast-paced anime and the illustrations by AriseMi Rui, the illustrator, suited many people's tastes. Since Slayers was the first light novel to include the illustrator's name along with the author's name, I think the illustrations had a big impact on the popularity of the series.
Well, I started buying light novels from Slayers, so, well, I like Slayers better. There are also light novels and labels for girls, and there are a lot more types and quantities than you might think. 50+ volumes of light novels is a lot of quicksand to read. I think the most fun way to read light novels is to read them when they are popular.
If you don't understand Japanese, you won't be able to enjoy Nico Nico Douga. But I still check it out once in a while to see what rare videos I can find.
You uploaded a song by Kamichu, so I listened to it. I listened to it while reading a book, and since the book I was reading was a serious one, I thought I'd listen to it along with you next time I read Slice of Life .
I think the Evangelion drama CD was one of the extras that came with the advance tickets for the old movie version. The audio was uploaded on Nico Nico Douga, but I don't think it can be translated or subtitled because there is too much information... I can't tell you what it's about because it would be a spoiler.
I like Slayers, and I like Xellos' character song. As for Slayers, as for Muji and NEXT, I've heard them sing live, so I have no more regrets!
As for Rhodes Island Senki, I haven't seen much of the ova or the TV anime version. I borrowed the original novel from a friend and read it, and I was satisfied with that. I've read the sequel up to the halfway point and haven't really gotten into it... If anything, I like the gaiden Kokui no Kishi more than the main story.
I just listened to Adesso E Fortuna for the first time on YOUTUBE. So I had never heard of it before.
I think I'll play the video you sent me of Kamichu as background music when I read some books.
The drama CD, well, it's just sound, so it doesn't seem to have been translated or dubbed. The Evangelion ones, though, were amazing in many ways.
As for Slayers, my favorite song is Give a reason, since I started watching it from Next. I also like SLAYERS 4 the future, sung by the four main characters.
The first anime soundtrack I ever bought was the old Spring Eva (Death & Rebirth). I remember it was classic though... and I don't think it had many bright tunes.
As for Slayers, I liked the drama CD better than the soundtrack, so I bought that one. Kamichu! I've never seen it, so I can't imagine what kind of soundtrack it is.
As for Dragon Ball, I'm probably going to see the movie in April. I think my favorite Dragon Ball movie is the opening of Z, which I watched in real time.
I don't know if you had the idea to make a different picture on purpose... Cowboy Bebop is my favorite soundtrack, and I often listen to it as background music in my car.

I like Yoko Kanno's music, though it has its pros and cons.
