Currently on a (possibly permanent!) hiatus from watching anime and other anime related media. The only times I consume anime related media are when I keep up with the One Piece manga or play anime video games. Once in a blue moon I will watch some mainstream anime and that's it. Alas, the days of me being an "otaku" are over.

The plothole I was talking about was regarding Okabe's first kiss. In the Steins;gate world line, after the series ended, ranging from 2010 to 2011 (when he disappeared into the R-world line), Okabe remembers his first kiss to be with Moeka. BUT after Kurisu traveled back in time and kissed him in 2005 and returns to 2011, Okabe's remembers his first kiss was Kurisu. How could this Okabe have kissed Kurisu in 2005 if he was not originally from the Steins;gate world line. The one who we saw leaving on a 3 week journey at the end of the series should be the one who remembers the kiss with Kurisu. That's the part I don't understand.
Okay, yeah after rewatching the train stop scene, I think Kurisu remembered what he told Okabe in the past and she added a kiss at the end of it.
Um, I think that if we're talking about the first kiss he said in episode 22, I'm pretty sure he was talking about the one with Moeka.
I remember this one explanation stating that the reason that Okabe disappeared was not because of his Reading Steiner overloading but actually because of Kurisu's deja vus. If you think about it, in the year when Kurisu was in America, she wasn't thinking about the things in Japan much which is why Okabe never disappeared in that year. When she returns to Japan, she sees Okabe and starts getting these random memories popping up which is also when Okabe started disappearing as well.
Well the farewell in the dream world was excellent. Especially between Riki and Kyousuke, very teary. I remember them saying something about how these are the spirits of the students who still want to fulfill their last wish in the dream world so I thought that they would have passed on after. After time began moving again, we see all this tragedy, bus flipping over with gas leaking, it just seemed so unnatural that no one died in the end. I thought that everyone used up their "magical powers" to keep the dream world intact, but how did it protect everyone from dying as well. Was too much of a deus ex for me to accept.
I know the same thing happened in the ending of Clannad, but they have always shown that imaginary world with Ushio and Tomoya robot, so I never really questioned the magic that existed in their world because you can just tell something is weird happening in the background and the ending did not seem forced. But here the magic was basically Kyousuke and the rest of LB's wish for Riki and Rin to become stronger, so they built a dream world for them. When it collapsed I expected them to be faced with the reality of losing the people closest to them, but I guess not.
Have you seen the anime version of Refrain yet? Seems like majority of VN players didn't like the adaption.
This one seemed to be the most plausible to me, but it doesn't explain why Okabe did not remember the kiss before Kurisu went back in time. I'm beginning to think that this is a plothole... Would've really helped if they made it 2 hours long.
Anyways, I also thought that in 2005 a younger Kurisu told Okabe about this Houin Kyouma character (in all world lines) and the only difference in Steins Gate World line was that older Kurisu kissed him at the end of their conversation. What did you think happened during that train stop scene?
I've recently rewatched entire Haruhi series in correct chronological order since it was one of those series I almost forgot completely (one of the first series I watched). I really hated it while watching last year, broadcast order was way too confusing, but this time around everything made sense! lol Noticed stuff in the movie I didn't realize last time, I liked the time travelling in it more than Steins Gate since it wasn't as confusing and that "double" loop was very well done. Even found a part that didn't work out, but still a masterpiece for me.
Refrain is done, definitely better than first season's slice of life. I thought it was pretty good, but wasn't too fond of the ending.
I guess the biggest misconception was that I thought all anime was based off of manga, then I found out within this past year that the majority of good stories are actually from VNs and LNs.
Anyways, I'm not sure about rewatching because I've always believed that if I rewatched something it won't have the same effect since I already know what's going to happen. Have you ever felt bored while rewatching a series and wanted to skip certain parts?
Yup I've watched the movie and loved it lol. After it ended I just frantically searched these forums for people's theories about the ending. xD
I love stories about time travelling and parallel worlds so I was really eager to find out what each of his D-mails would do in the first half. The story overall was complex and confusing, but it makes sense after some thinking was put into it. The relationships between the characters and their romantic developments were spectacular. From finishing Steins;Gate up until now, rarely have I cared for characters as much as this. Lol and this was what caused my eyes to be filled to the brim with tears at 5 am when I was nearing the end of the anime.
After finishing I just became really obsessed with watching anime...and a year later, I can say that it's still my favorite! :D
