Well I am currently working on my PhD at louisiana state university in electrical engineering. I joined the anime club there, and motorsports club. I am half japanese and am semi fluent. Been watching anime since the late 80s thanks to my parents importing VHS from japan.

I like racing anime and own a datsun 280z same one from wangan midnight. Watch way too much anime. Hoping to graduate soon become a professor, and probably start up an anime club at the college I will go to =)

Oh yeah I am old im 25 btw. Favorite anime are Initial D and Magical Lyrical Girl Nanoha.

I'm watching a few as you can see. Really like Hataraku Maou-sama, Attack on Titan, and Aku no Hana.

Noticed in your comment regarding Strike Witches that you enjoy WWII air combat.

You may want to investigate some of the following titles. Not all are WWII and not all are Avn but I think you may enjoy several of them.

Allison & Lillia avn - 8 - 2008 (Quite a bit of avn in the first part of the series. Less so later on but a nice story)
Aozora Shoujotai avn - 8 - 1994 (similar to sky girls)
Area 88 avn - 8 - 1985
Futatsu no Kurumi wwii - 7 - 2007 (similar to Grave of the Fireflies but not quite as grim)
Hadashi no Gen/ HnG2 wwii - 10 - 1983 (similar to Grave of the Fireflies)
Senkou no Night Raid wwii - 10 - 2010 (about events just prior to WWII)
Stratos 4 avn - 7 - 2003 (similar to sky girls)
Ushiro no Shoumen Daare wwii - 9 - 1991 (similar to Grave of the Fireflies)
Yomigaeru Sora: Rescue Wings avn - 10 - 2006 (Quite realistic look at air rescue.)
Yukikaze avn - 8 - 2002 (Sci-fi with some amazing flight scenes.)
Zipang wwii - 10 - 2004 (not a lot of avn but what there is is great.)

Super lame its the same recycled characters every year, Taiga should take it just for being new unlike the other 40 or so that are like 3 year returns
