MAL is way too autistic with scores, but that happens everywhere on the internet when you give people the ability to rate.

It's a shame people don't actually talk, because the ones I lure into PM or my profile for more insightful conversations, it always turns out to be pretty convincing conversations for either end. I either understand them better or they understand me better, or half the time, we can change the other's perspective entirely. Beats arguing for sure.


I'm going to watch episode 5 tomorrow; been hearing good things so I'm optimistic. I agree they've been doing a fine job so far. I think "Sakuga" is the most overrated term used on the site, to be honest, and people are way too focused on animation, which is the wrong approach, I feel. I don't notice any animation problems whatsoever with the new anime. And anyone who does doesn't know what bad animation actually is.


Yeah, after I wrote that, I noticed you were in South America! Oh well, I mostly talking about the English dub form North America. I'm sure the Brazilian dub is a good one, and mostly 1:1; it is still better in Japanese though, but the English dub is the most bastardized and dumbed down version anyone could watch. That's more what I was worried about. Fuck that dub so hard. I try to dissuade everyone who wants to watch or is watching YYH every chance I get! I can't even explain it; you have to just see it for yourself to understand (but don't).


Yeah, all of Shana is good. Sub only too, that's pretty important, but you also need really good subtitles too. That's also pretty important. It's a very detailed series and mistranslations will royally screw it up.

And yes, Berserk; I think that can only be said about the manga though. No animes really match it at all.

Too true, especially right now. If you're in the States too, things are only going to get worse before they get better. I've never heard of Tatami Galaxy, but it sounds sci-fi so I might want to look it up. I really like that genre.

Yeah, I have no idea why people are crying about this new SK, apart from blind nostalgia for the old one. But I like this one so much better. So brilliant moron actually said the fact I have it rated at an 8 over 3 episodes must be "a joke", because in his pea brain, everyone has to think just like him. I hate a lot of the community here.

Nice, YYH.... but please, I hope it's Japanese? Never, ever, ever, ever, ever watch the English dub. If you are, I highly recommend switching before it's too late. Trust me. I can go on for pages on why. Japanese.


And oh yeah, I love Shana. I fell completely in love with that series by episode 2 (its ideas and execution is just my bread and butter) and watched all the way to the end, bought what light novels (source material) I could, and am dying to read all of it. But only 2 were ever translated.... -_-

Did you watch it in Japanese or dubbed too? Because again, I have to stress Japanese with good subtitles (IE, not free); that's the only way to experience it. In any case, I'd definitely recommend a rewatch and then continuing. I'd love to discuss it as you go through it too; I could talk about that series (and Berserk) all day long, haha.

Hmm, that's cool at least you knew them in real life. But maybe you should go through and remove a few that are no longer relevant at all? That's what I'd do. If they don't mean anything, you know, why have them? You'll make more! :)

I have to ask though, did you just send requests to the 11 friends you currently have? How much have you talked to them? I think a large number of people you only talked once to is far more lonely than just one who you might talk with everyday, but that's just my take.
