Welcome... TO MY LAIR! Not sure how you got in here but we'll deal with that later. Well since you're here, I guess you'd like to know a bit about me. First things first though. NO RANDOM FRIENDS REQUESTS. I DO NOT ACCEPT THEM. The Beginning I've watched anime ever since Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! back in the day, though at that age I wouldn't say watched was even the best word for it. I was entertained by it, not much else. My brother introduced me to anime like Dragon Ball Z, Full Metal Alchemist, and Cased Closed. I recall we would also watch Naruto on Toonami a lot. That certainly brings me back. But despite this early exposure to anime, i wouldn't have called myself a real fan yet. I mean I had never even finished watching an anime at that time. But everything changed when puberty attacked! I'm kinda ashamed to admit it but my gateway into devotedly watching anime was through ecchi. Specifically Rosario+Vampire I was a victim of youtube clickbait that my teenage mind just couldn't resist! The first anime I ever completed. A bit pathetic but I wouldn't give it up for the world! And that was not the last time youtube clickbait would take advantage of me. However this time there would be greater results. Gurren Lagann To this day my favorite anime of all time. None have yet to change my mind. And yet I found it through a clickbait meme. (sigh) No regrets man. Yoko is still one of the hottest and bad ass babes in all of anime. And thus I was fully indoctrinated into my love for anime! As time would go on I would watch different shows, different genres, fleshing out my favorite animes. And thus this story of how I came to love anime comes to a close. Video Games Yeah so you know how I just spilled my soul over how I came to love anime? Well I've been a gamer for as long I as I comprehensibly think. I still consider myself more a fan of video games than anime and would most likely chose to immerse myself in a brand new game than watch a new anime. Just kinda how things go. I was born and raised on classics such as Spyro the Dragon And Crash Bandicoot And things only got better from there when my family got not only a PS2, but a Gamecube as well! So many great games from that era of gaming. Including my top 2 favorite ever (Can't decided on 3-10 at the moment). At Number 2 we have: Metroid Prime Though truthfully I didn't actually play this until 2013, but hey better late than never. And my number 1 all time favorite video game is.... Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater An absolute masterpiece of a video game. The range of genres that I enjoy is quite vast. Rpg's, side-scrolling and action platformers, beat-em ups, shmups, adventure, survival, sandbox, and even life sims. My favorite company is easily Nintendo. Such a wide variety of game series that I have come to know and love, whether it be Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Metroid and Smash Bros. I'm very excited about their new work and the up and coming Nintendo Switch. It's hard to pick a least favorite company. Not because I like them, but because there are a lot of bad ones. EA and Ubisoft like to be scumbags a lot. But if there is one I hate more than any other.... Though Let's be honest, who else could it be? Who else could completely shit over every single successful game series they have ever made? Whether it be Metal Gear or Castlevania. And while I never played it poor poor Silent Hill. At the current moment in time I am not playing any new games, however I do play a lot of Hearthstone, so hey if you made it this far and happen to be a Hearthstone fan, hit me up. I mean how bout that Mean Streets of Gadetzan? amirite? Update, it wasn't that great. Also here's a couple other games I really like. My Waifu Now let's get on to the good stuff shall we? I mean if it wasn't obvious by my profile pic who my waifu is then I guess I'll make it clearer for ya. Morgiana from Magi While my one true waifu has fluctuated with time, I don't see that ever happening with Morgiana. For there are few other characters who can affect my emotions like Morgiana can. Looking at her smile can instantly make me happy. And to see her in distress can instantly bring down my mood. Did I mention yet that she happens to be a TOTAL Bad Ass? Being a Fanalis sure has its perks. Not just the beautiful red hair. But legs of steel! With the strength to kill a full grown lion in a single kick. And that's just the weak ones. Being a powerful ally and Alibaba's first househould vessel wielder, she is always determined to make herself useful in some way. This can be attributed to a few factors. Her history of being a slave may still affect her, however I feel it's more she wishes to help the ones she cares about. Alibaba and Aladdin saved her from her life of slavery to the biggest prick in the universe and for a while after her escape from slavery, she still held to slave like tendencies. Still seeking permission despite having no need for it. It wasn't until the party in Sindria that she realized just how free she truly was. She wasn't being giving permission to do as she pleased. She just could regardless of what others said. She was her own master, able to forge her own path. How she was to use her immense strength was up to her. She could continue to journey with her friends, protecting the ones she loves. Or she could finally visit the land of her people, being the final wish of her co-slave Goltas before assuring the entrapment of their former master inside Dungeon Amon. This sudden experience to immense freedom builds up in her to the point there is only one thing left to do. Let's dance! I can't possibly wait for more seasons of Magi if only for the chance to see more of Morgiana. Also I was kinda spoiled about a certain plot point in the manga but I'll make sure not to ruin the surprise for anyone else (yes it's the obvious otp). Though I was pretty scared at one point, thinking they were going to kill Morgiana. Do not believe the clickbait! She lives! She just wasn't feeling too well after that. She got better. Though the scene made me really cry afterwards. She was just so happy and then they throw a curve ball like that, making you think she's gonna die. I don't think I would have been able to make it through that. Like I would not be able to finish watching the show if they did that, I would be too much of a wreck. It would be Mami Tomoe except like times 10. That bad. And just the point that really pushes the scene is that if I recall, she asks if she was of use before going unconscious. All things considered I would have no other be my waifu. I'm hers forever. Plus, she's so freaking adorable! Here's a couple of my other favorite female characters who didn't quite make the cut, or happened to be previous waifus. Favorite Male Character So I wasn't sure if I was to go for the obvious choice for my favorite male character. But then I though to myself, "Just who the hell do I think I am?" Kamina It couldn't really be anyone else for me. I have followed him since I first met him. The absolute pinnacle of a man. The very essence of awesomeness. And then you realize. It was all just a show. I feel people tend to forget that despite his action first questions later and bombastic nature, that in truth he was just as scared as Simon. Thing is he knew better of himself. He was a leader and a true leader smiles looking death straight in the fucking face. Never backing down, never wavered, because that isn't what a real leader is. If a leader wears their fear on their sleeve how could expect any more out his own men. You gotta lead by example especially when it came to Simon. Simon and Kamina both lost their parents early in their lives causing Simon to heavily look up to Kamina. Kamina knows what it's like to not have anyone to look up to, only having the memory of his father reaching the surface world. He sees Simon's lack of confidence but knows full well how grand of a hero Simon could be one day given the right push. And he makes sure to give him that push before.... well.... you know. Yeah Kamina's death is one of the most shocking death's I have ever experienced. And yet holy shit does it make for good character development for Simon. While Kamina was trying to lead Simon to being a true hero, along the way Simon got far too attached and simply wasn't his own person. He was a shadow of Kamina, not much else. Now he has been pushed out into the light and forced to become his own person. No more solely clinging to your up bringer's ideals. Yeah he obviously doesn't take the sudden change well at first, but with a little help from an adorable girl, he eventually matures. And despite Kamina's death, as cliched as it may be, he lived on in every single member of Team Dai Gurren (yes even Rossiu). For the words are far truer than they first appear Shirou:B-But people die when they are killed. Shut up Shirou! And here's some of my other favorite male characters that aren't Kamina Least Favorite Male Character Now there really aren't any female characters in shows that I can think of off the top of my head that I hate with a burning passion. However I certainly have a good idea of a male character I hate to high hell. Jamil Well to anyone who has watched Magi and read the "My Waifu" segment, you can probably tell why I hate this asshole. This douche was Morgiana's slave master. I mean that alone should be enough to make me hate him but man is there just more to it than that. The guy treats every single person around him like shit, not just his slaves, but anybody. He finds all people to be expendable, throwing others into possible danger to make sure it is safe for himself. And if you even slightly provoke him, he'll just up and stab you. He sicks his slave Goltas on Alibaba when he starts asking too many questions. And then when Alibaba manages to subdue Goltas, Jamil congratulates him and then stabs Goltas for being "useless". And later when Jamil is reading some ancient text relating to a trapped room, Alibaba corrects him only for Jamil to up and stab Alibaba. Then tells him to go try the trap first where Alibaba almost dies. Thinking that he did die Jamil proceeds without him. When given poor news he takes it out on his own slaves, throwing a tantrum like a bloody child. And the guy actually expected that he would be made into a king for completing the Dungeon Amon. And of course the worst thing of all, his treatment of Morgiana. Jamil had already broken Morgiana into the role of a slave through fear and pain. Since she was a child, Jamil abused Morgiana, to the point where it still haunts her. Morgiana became completely subservient to Jamil. So long as Jamil was there, Morgiana followed his orders without question. Aladdin claimed that she had invisible chains on her, set by Jamil. Even as he lays unconscious with the Dungeon Amon about to collapse, Morgiana attempts to save him. It's only when Goltas picks up Jamil and takes him further into the dungeon, sealing both of their fates, and telling Morgiana to visit her homeland that Morgiana is able to break away from his grasp. There is no redemption for a man like this. And I feel bad that Goltas actually sacrificed himself to make sure this guy was good and dead, even if Goltas had done some horrid things under Jamil's command and couldn't stand to face the world for it. It's all pretty simple with me. Any character that can treat people like this. You can simply burn in hell. Also if you ship Jamil and Morgiana you really need to get yourself checked out cause you are seriously messed up! Recap and Random Things
Well that's about it. Check my recent anime and manga updates, my favorite anime, manga, characters, etc. Maybe leave a comment relating to all that crap up there. I don't know, what else do you people do on other people's profile page?I guess you can show yourself out now. Or don't. I don't really care. Do what you do. |
