I recently came back from a 3-year MAL hiatus, somewhere between October 20 to October 27 2024.
I used to be drop a lot anime and be very harsh with my ratings.
I had reached a limit where I simply couldn't find titles to adore or love.
Since I will never stop anime as a media,since its very versatile and because I'm too attached to it...
I had to change my approach.
I now won't be reckless and impulsive.
Now I don't drop anymore unless extreme cases, that alone makes me able to go after more serious titles I have been delaying.
I'm more generous with my ratings

I stand by the thought that something should be consistently solid throughtout whatever length it has.
Which, hard stating as it looks, it's is not as hard a job as it truly is.
Be it dialogue, animation, human interaction, action scenes or whatever. Focus on it until it gets good enough, maintain it and comes after the next feature when you truly finished the previous one. And when faced with the decision sacrifice one good characteristic for two half decent then sacrifice the later.

Chainsaw-man and Shangri-La Frontier are both anime with rather simplistic touchs to it that are very good because they follow these fundamentals very well. Do the basic well and you'll never get lost.

But of course that if I happen to enjoy something I'll give it a high rate. I'm no hypocrite, and it's not like it's easy to do so(I'm exigent).


Now; an actual about me... I'll do that later.
