I see. Sweeping generalisations you used made me consider you were a religious madman trying to rationalise his beliefs by caricaturing the opposite view's representatives. Admittedly, while I have little against theists as individuals, I have a lot against intellectual dishonesty.
I wouldn't criticise anyone for their religion; the power indoctrination and stigma owns everyone (myself included). Religion is far from the only evils we are indoctrinated with as children and I often find myself doing things in accordance with not-always-legitimate principles public school taught me. I did not break free from religion because of superior intellect, but because of weak indoctrination, nonexistent stigma and exposure to the right people. I do acknowledge that religion fills an emotional need for spirituality and increases social ties within certain groups, but I also think that it both is unnecessary and comes with overwhelming cons.
At times, one would call me an anti-theist-- but don't call me that if you can only see the word with the implications it is shipped with in regard to its representatives.
There is gossip on the forum but I don't read these enough to know how much is accurate. What are your religious views and what do you think of atheism?
You gotta be careful with that Stefan Molyneux dude.
Besides what I told you in the topic: he also claims that "there is no such thing as mental illness", ignoring all evidence, scientific work in centuries and real suffering that can't be overcome just by the person's will.
