There probably is a good way of breaking them all down with the seinentard thing, but that tag is quite diverse, I'm finding. There's even a lot of stuff I didn't think of as seinen that gets lumped in there, since it's mostly dependent on what mags the manga ended up getting into.

Edit: Oh, btw, since we were on the topic of Peterson a while back and you mentioned him talking about Christianity in that vague word salad way, I saw clips from his discussion with Dawkins, and it was funny as hell. He wouldn't give a straight answer to anything. I think Dawkins was asking him some milquetoast question about like whether Mary being a virgin was possible, and Peterson was going on about how you define such and such and it would take two hours to even answer the question and the level of bullshit artist was impressive. Part of the reason he is so evasive often comes down to the pay piggies who butter his bread. He has a large Christian audience, and there is no straight answer that doesn't offend, so he has to resort to histrionic gobbledygook and benzo-binger body language. I didn't bother to watch the whole thing, but the clips were great. I mean, if you think it's bad when he's in his circle jerk entourage, you're in for a whole new world of hilarity when you find anyone who challenges him on anything. Even when it's in a pretty restrained fashion, like Dawkins' boring "Christianity is clownshoes ridiculous" routine that he's been doing for decades.

I took some photographs of the sky from the public park during dawn and during blue hours and golden hours. The sky looked amazing exactly like in anime ! Dawn, blue hour, and golden hour are best times for photography, also learned this fact from anime.
They offer different lighting and colors that can really make the sky stand out.

Even when it does help, it's hard to identify when there is a point with diminishing returns, and it seems like instead of being "cured," they're prone to becoming a lifelong client, and the therapist has every reason to enable them in that regard, though some of them will good faith push them to take the training wheels off. People become dependent and a kind of therapy culture arises. Definitely low quality control as well.

While many therapists now are not keen on Freud (though there are still Freudian therapists and different psychodynamic people) and there are many different schools of psychology, it's worth looking into some roots. I'd suggest this biographer's interview on Freud, and they touch a bit on modern trends as well:

That's just the tip of the iceberg for Freud, but there's plenty of dirty laundry in a relatively short span here. Yeah, it's an hour, so don't feel like you have to listen to it if you're not too interested, but there are some good insights there, and even plenty of the less modern stuff they talk about has a degree of generalizability.

Yeah, I've even heard jokes about how people have to become a therapist to fix their mental illness. I've heard both jokingly and unironically. I mean, it makes sense that someone with a congenital heart condition might have an interest in medicine and become a doctor and they partly have themselves in mind. But it feels a lot more ridiculous once the problem is (ostensibly) cognitive. Like how many people want a therapist treating them who might be suffering from the same problems (that is, mental distortions, or the equivalent of bad tendencies, habits, behaviors, etc)? The special insight and empathy the therapist presumably has as a result of having similar issues is not much of a consolation, if you ask me... It undoubtedly doesn't help that females are increasingly the ones not only going to uni but especially in those softie disciplines like psych. Not to mention, they're far more likely to be on cat lady pills (I've seen rates as high as almost 1/5th of women in some cases, and let's face it, the women drawn to psych are probably disproportionately that 1/5th percentage). I have a low opinion of therapy in general and think it's a waste of money. I would not even bother with it for free. Sure, I won't deny that certain therapeutic methods have been beneficial to select individuals (which does not necessarily mean it's generally beneficial), but even rigid, abusive setups can be the fix for some "unique individuals" (I recall an interesting incident with a strange kind of boarding school that looked like a CIA operation or something, but the name escapes me; anyway, one guy said he understood why people had a problem with it and that it was disturbing, but he found it helped him, whether it truly did or not). But I actually think a lot of these therapy people likely cause more harm than good.

Yeah, MBTI isn't that well-regarded even among a lot of the psych people. And if even they are skeptical, then you can probably just disregard it altogether, lmao. It seemed more of a marketing thing and a way to weasel into the corporate world because they thought people with a certain string of letters might fit better for certain jobs and it's a cash cow for some. Ha, I'm getting Psycho-Pass flashbacks, as that shit felt like AI-enforced MBTI social credit scores. XD I would guess the questions can be specific enough that it would line up decently to suggest a general cluster of behaviors or tendencies, but OCEAN always seemed cleaner and more useful and with more empirical backing, so it wasn't too bad of a means to better understand the interactions of population groups and the like. At least compared to Redditors gushing over which string of letters they got on some stupid online quiz, as if they were girls talking about zodiac signs. Kind of a shame Jung, from which MBTI was derived, wasn't around long enough to evaluate it, as I suspect he wouldn't be that enthused. His application of personality was more of a fluid exploration, much like the archetypes and such and we would have different aspects of all these things, whereas MBTI feels more like watered-down HR department slopspeak and pigeon holeing rather than a means of deriving any insight into a person. I'm not saying what Jung was up to was necessarily worthwhile so much as I am saying it's one of those kind of McDonaldsfications of ideas and concepts. lmao, I remember there was that one dude on here who was rambling about his MBTI and was asking me mine and eventually I trolled him with the Beastars joke.
