You think there might be any potential for this basement-dwelling battle shojo with cute moe ears?

(His mask looks really fucking stupid.)

Yeah, Orb is kind of dull, and the aesthetic is poor. The young blonde MC dies by ep 3, LMFAO! So it's one of those things where they have a rotating cast of chars who keep dying. XD

It reminds me a bit of this one medieval manga where a bunch of people over a period of years are trying to pass through some castle to another land, and they always get caught by the guards and killed. The castle is a stronghold and passing around it is difficult. It was insanely dull, but this has a bit more of a direction. I'm trying to remember the manga... it's definitely not Ubel Blatt. Don't think I added it on here either.

I've seen Adrift in Tokyo and remember liking it back then, but I'm not familiar with anything else from Miki. I'll have to try it. Thanks for the rec. I'd actually been kind of curious about what else he had done after that other film. Hope it uses a black bar aspect ratio to create a sense of 3D space and curious visual framing and transitions.

You mean zashiki watashi from terrified teacher at youkai school?

Original Maki I fell for ? That's aikawa Maki from air master..
There's lots of anime this fall and there are some Jdrama of mystery manga I like..
Let's see if I can keep up with weekly episodes or binge to catch up..
There's nba season starting as well and the final few races of F1.
I'm not watching football though, it's getting less entertaining every year due to accumulation of games. The players might go on a strike.

Meiko or seiko, who you got?

Collectards and of course scalpers tho those wouldn't exist if not for collectards... Wanted to buy and play some nes/snes games in the past on the original hardware but it's soo overpriced I rather use emulator

Would love to go back to the fun era of unsanitized internet and fun games but sadly it's gone and it's getting worse everyday. Even Polish television was at it's golden age
in late 90's to early 10's ... There were so many fun shows back then and now there's only trash...

I've added a lots of anime this season, I feel like that I'll complete most of them but some of them I might drop depending on how much time I can give them or if they go downhill after the first episode..
Check out my watching list please, I am too lazy to copy paste each and every one of the anime I'm watching

Orb seems okay to me so far. Weak production values, though. Monster and Vinland Saga having a baby definitely seems right. XD

It seems to be a bit of a thriller in the way they use the inquisition, and he appears to meet many other heretics along the way. Hard to say with only 2 eps so far.

lmao at Owen Pepper.

Have you found our lord and savior, the most seinen anime ever made?

I am very pleased with the anime so far this fall. Only thing missing is you and your posts..
I hope you find time to watch the seasonals.
Gsarthotegga Oct 3, 5:07 PM
Western shows don't have any potential for something like that. It's for cat lady spinsters with dwindling prospects for marriage or even bf. SSRIs out the wazoo, I'm afraid.

Kind of disappointed she only has two tentacles. XD
Gsarthotegga Oct 3, 2:33 PM
The setting is simply more entertaining. Maybe they'll do an isekai remake, lol.

Yeah, I just did an image search, and they're pretty busted. Very cat lady pilled TV. Most people would probably prefer a firing squad over being subjected to sessions of that in prison as conditioning or torture of some sort. XD

Oh, what is that manga? A Lovecraft tentacle waifu!?

Do you wanna watch some anime on social media?

Don't waste your time debating with fools.

Behold! This scribble emerged from a whimsical chitchat about the flat-planetarium enthusiasts. How can minds think the Earth is as flat as a pancake? The practical noodle to this conundrum is simple: they merrily dance with mental fairies. It's practical since it hands you the handful of info needed for wacky decision-making. They’re mentally dancing => so, ignore their jigs. Beyond that, pondering becomes a circus of wasted time and brain jelly. Yet this doesn’t crack into the juicy logic and reasoning of our flat-earther pals, which might tickle your philosophical fancy. It's not like the mind-waltzing rejects spin tales of emptiness—they cha-cha with their own whimsical chains of thought, albeit they twirl in the wrong, silly, and morally confused way. But dive into their maelstrom, if you dare!

Ah, this spins me 'round to my vintage blog riddle of Popularity vs. Quality! Why does the anime mob seem bewitched by every flimsy show yet shun the gems? The practical hiccup from that tale tells us they’re either actual kiddos or arrested man-children with the psyche of playful tots. But this doesn't untangle the exact gobbledygook they follow to crown the good and the bad. And that zany reasoning is dubbed modernism.

In this wild tale, modernism treats whimsical yarns as factual Snapchat captures of reality. Modernism has a crush on “lore,” “universe-spinning,” “plot holes,” mechanical tomfoolery, and the flip-o-rama of battle shounen power matrices and isekai tax extravaganzas. “Can Goku give Superman a run for his money?” is a classic modernist conundrum. “What’s Aragorn’s tax shenanigan?” gets the gold star in modernist prattles. This captures how a wee child, not yet wielding the magic of abstraction, gobbles up fiction.

On the flip side, postmodernism throws glitter and confetti, openly proclaiming that fables are just that—fables! The Monogatari characters nattering about their own animated frolic is the essence of postmodernism! Oddities strutting as metaphorical echoes of psych!

Both brain-munching snackery and mind-bending cerebrology dance within the "fiction is a reality sandwich" echo chamber. And gnawing at tax goblins? Oh, you guessed it, that’s midwit territory—too thick to sip the subtext smoothie and too posh to let loose at the circus! Can you picture coomers wailing about step-sibling shenanigans being a faux pas while drowning in a washing machine vortex? If you've peeked at anime, no imagination needed; this is how the crowd rates the cartoon buffet. Modernist and postmodernist scales for fab and drab tales are like cats and dogs—sworn enemies forever at the tailgate party. A Monogatari Series that nerds out with the deep dive of lore and Oshino’s power level would have zero time for anything else. Stepping into the whirlpool of steppy-sibling debates and laundry physics? Nah, that script gets tossed before the first scene. Well-spun plots make munchkins and dolts throw tantrums, while imbeciles spark literary fireworks in the reverse! Now, let's paint with examples. Enter the maestro of melodrama, Okada Mari, the ultimate IQ test for script wranglers—no one filters the fluffs like she does, and Nisio Isin or Gen Urobuchi are just candy compared to her mind-bending maze! I once mused this was all about emotional smarts since she strings the human heart like a banjo, but oh, the plot thickens! Childish tantrums against Okada Mari’s tapestries are born from her unapologetic, kaleidoscopic vibe! It’s all about the feels, squash the literal! In Nagi no Asu kara, some folks frolic underwater, fetal superhero style, thanks to a snug womb shield crafted by love’s embrace, thwarting the ocean’s grumpiness! What a ride!

Zap! Battle shounen, a candy box meant for tiny tots, yet sprinkle in some titles with brainy candies like Medaka Box, Akame ga Kill, Fairy Tail, and Dr. Stone. Do they tickle children's fancy? You betcha! Twelve-year-olds skip the pretentiousness dance. But do free-spirited thirty-somethings who guzzle cartoons for kids vibe with them? Hardly ever! Now, enter the bizarre land of isekai—where imagination hits ludicrous speeds! Designed not for kiddos but for basement-dwelling neets, anti-lover trolls, and other quirky genetic mishaps! Peek at the flood of isekai series, and it feels like a dumpster fire with extra glitter. But here's the twist, to spot gems, snag the ones labeled 'bad' by isekai zealots—trust me, it’s practically a rule of cosmic wackiness! As I pen this during the Summer 2023 season, what sparkles the brightest? Level 1 dakedo Unique Skill de Saikyou desu, an isekai harem with an ultra-standard title! What’s the magic potion behind its charm? A cozy iyashikei vibe, folks! Our main character, living through salaryman shenanigans, vibes with exploited workers and gives thumbs-ups to sensible bosses. Plus, he’s packing a gun with ammo that’s got elemental flair, healing pals by firing magic health bullets! And the lead girl? A cinnamon roll of marvelous delight wielding a hefty hammer and wrapping up her sentences with “nanoja!” Oh, and they nurture each other like plants in a garden of kindness! She’s also a camping confectioner, baking cakes and swirling ice cream by a campfire! During the commercial roller-coaster, characters rev around like bizarre race cars yelling, “vroom, vroom!” And did I mention there’s a bunny girl with a carrot obsession? The absurdity is a feast!
