Hi everyone! :)
I'm a student from Finland and I'm totally addicted to manga. ^^
Well, it's quite funny that I started to watch anime before I became interested in manga but still I prefer manga over anime... At first I thought that manga sucks but when I started to read manga versions of the animes I'd watched I noticed that those were awesome, too. :D I've watched anime and read manga about an year or so.
I also love to draw!
Still, I don't usually draw manga/anime 'cause it doesn't fit my style at all... ^_^
I've only drawn those characters that I love or that have inspired me somehow. However, after reading manga and watching anime I've started to draw more extraordinary poses (maybe it's result from watching too much anime battles xD).
This pic of Kuniko Houjou (from Shangri-la) is one of those exceptional anime drawings of mine... (Damn, I should buy new drawing equipment... xD)
I'm not sure what kind of manga/anime I like since I'm just a beginner here. Right now I just want to learn more about different kinds of animes & mangas.
That's why I'd love to hear recommedations of good manga/anime... so if you have anything in mind just tell me! ^^
~~ Ceeya around! ~~
Here's some random pics of my favourites...^^

Sorry!
I'm pretty busy with my studies so I don't have enough time to visit here every day anymore... :(
I still try to visit as often as possible, though! :D

Oh geez, I never watched the anime version of it... because I refuse to watch something that has over 300 episodes, and start at episode 1 XD The manga isn't bad though. I still prefer other manga series, but it's not bad.
But yes, there definitely are some exceptions :3
Congrats on finding a new place to live, or you living with other people in the apartment? Because I share a kitchen with 35 people. :/
I'm not wholly impressed really, because I losted my wallet when I came home for the weekend, good thing there wasn't any money in it which makes me a bit complacent, but not by much.
Besides that, Uni life has been quite favourable, just insanely money-dependant, I've already used like £200+ :/
As for the studies... well I have a 20 min presentation about resistance at work coming up, and some other key readings about management as well as some philosophical theories,I guess thats about it. UK universities always put more emphasis on self-study than teaching; with Japanese only being the exception, as you need quite a bit of guidance in terms of pronounciation and such (I took a language course for japanese btw). ;D
How're are you doing then? In terms of life and Uni in general?
Auf wiedersehen!
Me too ;) I have exams in less than a week! !!!! D:
Same here ^^ Oh, good on you ^^
I'm just flat out busy lol, but still finding time to watch anime :D Are you watching anything atm? o.0
Bye ;D
I kinda left this place a little after making the list. Think I am back now tho :)
Nice with a friend request!
How are you?
That's true x] But then again, life's a little boring if you don't live with some craziness, haha. That's what I think at least.
It really is. I really love the artwork as much as the characters and plot. It's just beautiful. And yeah, there are a lot of chapters... but look on the bright side: At least you're not like me who's trying to catch up to One Piece XDD;;
Sorry for the insanely late reply.
Haha well if you like long, tedious essays then I'll be happy to wrote more. :P
Hmm sounds lot more cheaper than UK universities, healthcare and all that stuff has always been free thanks to NHS (but they still suck anyway), but university fees cost around £3000+ a year, thats not including accomodations, rents are usually £65 for standard and £90 for en-suite, yeah its suicidal and depressing, but we got something to help with finance and we only need to pay back once we are earning £15k or more. However the Scotsmans who are located above us are allowed to go to Uni for free. >>
Thats correct we do, only because its a name of a day. :D
Its not compulsory but we are allowed to learn a variety of languages, some schools even teach Latin! The common one though I would say are German and French, then maybe Spanish, interestingly, Mandarin Chinese have become a popular choice aswell.
Ok then, you've most likely have fallen asleep 3 times already but I will await one of your 'giraffe messages' someday.
Bye :O
XDDD I would say the same, but I think I've already lost it =w=;;
Ahaha, that's good to hear though :D But yes. I personally love the manga more than the anime, but definitely have to agree that DGM was nevertheless pretty good material.
Okey dokey ;D
Haha lol, that happens ;) Which is why I back up all my anime, so that once I finished the anime on my computer, I just delete the episodes I've watched! :D
But yes! Look at the bishie-like Tyki XD
:O Nicee. But if it did talk to you, I'd be a bit concerned, lmao.
Hmm... I'm not that far into the anime (I'm still trying to catch up, but I'm getting there XD), but I have to say art-wise, the manga is amazing. But either way, the anime actually sticks with the plot pretty well. So I think you could go either way and you'd be fine ^^
But yay! That's good to hear :D It's a REALLY funny series x]
Hahahahahaha, I don't know about cheerful, seeing how I tend to be a bit indifferent sometimes, but I do understand what you mean XDD
I think I'm pretty equal in my friends (both guys and girls), but if anything, I probably have more guy-ish qualities than the average girl... although I do definitely have the heart of a fangirl XDDDD But yeah, I know what you mean, lmao. Whenever I have no one to talk to but my guy friend, he ends up becoming the victim of my fangirling, lmao.
Oops, the reply was rather long, sorry about that, I'll write shorter posts from now on. :))
Looks like the student finance mechanics in Finlands are pretty similar to the UK, except maybe more compentant than our rediculously slow labourers. I have a question, is applying to university free in Finland?
To be honest my finances haven't been all sorted out yet, mainly having some issues with my assessment not being financially based, meaning they didn't check my home incomes which determines the amount of grant I may recieve.
Yeah, English is pratically the international language of choice, the influences from it is almost worldwide making it easy to learn most things are either translated or converted to English in one way or another.
Is that not the same in Finland? Where titles or names becomes capital letters for the first letter?
Hah, I guess so, does that mean I should get ill so I can relieve myself from future stress? ;)
That was fast, hope you're are fine now. :)
Lol, I guess anyone whos been exposed to anime will eventually become torpid and stupid, but thats just a opinion its doesn't mean its true. ;)
Its probably true, as you'll refrain from learning in order to to focus on the specialised job you have in the future.
Good bye and hopefully you're fine now!
So where are you up to? Have you finished the first season? :O
Did you see Tyki in the latest chapter? O.O;; He looked so bishie-like XD
Ahh, I love Rhode's song... but I don't have it on my iPod ;__; *is sad* AHAHA, yes. The Earl's umbrella is amazing XD I want an umbrella like that...
YES IT IS. I found that many people who like KHR also enjoy DGM (or maybe that's just a very good coincidence for me XD)
But it's SO funny and the artwork is so good... with lots of bishies ;D
But the plot's amazing too. I mean, yeah, the first several chapters/episodes are definitely weird and completely random, but they really help you when the actual plot comes through because it really shows how their personality is like and gives you a better sense of who they are x3
But those are quite the good reasons :3 I have to agree with most of them too ^^
As for me, I definitely must say that Allen and Lavi are tied for my favorites, ahaha. Despite Allen being a bit too perfect, which also annoys me, he's just so cute that I can't get over it xD And Lavi's just hilarious and well... he's smexy x]
Then Kanda... *sigh* He's also quite the dreamy one, lmao. And yes! Komui always makes me laugh... although I wish he would appear soon in the manga D:
I'm not that particularly fond of the female characters in DGM, because like you said, they're a bit weak, and I too, also prefer strong female characters that can fight for themselves. Even though Lenalee and Miranda do sometimes do that... but not enough xP
But from the Noah, I love Rhode, Jasdevi, and Tyki :] How typical XD
I actually like the Millennium Earl as well, but it's mostly because I love that his hats always change o.o Other than that, he scares me ._.''
maybe that's called boring as usual ^^
