NGL I will get my complaint out of the way now, I am kinda over the gimmick of redeeming a character by giving them a kid. It was amazing with Joel/Ellie and Kratos/Atreus, I still enjoyed it with Mandalorian/Baby Yoda… but by now I just didn’t care about the kid at all. So I am glad she didn’t last long ;P I woulda rathered they find a different way of redeeming Jinx, but the way they handled it wasn’t bad at all. So if you aren’t sick of this trope then I am sure it was great. But like the multiverse fatigue, I am ‘child saves someone’s humanity’ fatigue.
So you remember me saying Cait and Vi are my third and fourth most played champs in the actual game and its amazing they were picked as protagonists in arcane out of a roster of 170+. Well my second favourite champion is LeBlanc who is in fact the leader of the Black Rose xD The Black Rose is an organisation and not an individual, and OMG the black rose are seeming more and more important like how they kidnapped Mel so if this is foreshadowing LeBlanc >.< Since there is only 3 episodes left I doubt they will introduce more major characters now, but she may be a teaser for the next series in the League Cinematic Universe.
So there have been a lot of champion teasers but no actual new ones yet. The daughter the evil scientist has in the life pod is a champion. When Viktor first became jesus, he was shown prayinjg to a statue of a champion. And like I mentioned the leader of the Black Rose is a champion. And one that no one is talking about is how Ambessa’s body guard (who just got destroyed by mutant Vander) looks extremely similar to a champion. But his name is Rictus so he isn’t I guess. But tell me this doesn’t look like the same guy Also, did you see the music video made entirely about Ambessa?

I was also worried about the Vi/Cait story, I was afraid they were gonna hate each other till the end. I am glad it was only for the second Act. But I wonder how Cait and Jinx will interact now that it looks like they are gonna be on the same side? Unless the loss of the child is gonna regress Jinx back to being evil. Who do you think is gonna die by the end? I think Viktor is still currently alive and will probably overall survive. Out of Jinx/Cait/Vi I think one of them will die but not sure which. It could honestly be any of them, but if I were a betting man I think Cait is most likely to die. Jayce I think will survive and will have some sort of vendetta to stop Viktor.

Stellar Blade has nothing to do with Nier. But the creator is a massive Nier fan, and stated publically several times that Nier was the inspiration to Stellar Blade. And the creator of Nier saw this and was down to do a collaboration. So the DLC to Stellar Blade is essentially you can dress up the main character as 2B or A2, and her side kicks you can dress up as 9S and Emil (the character that got snubbed in the anime). Stellar Blade is like a combination of Nier Automata and a Souls-Like… it just isn’t as difficult as a Souls-Like (but still has some very difficult moments). It’s a very good game, I would recommend. But if you are going for Elden Ring like I would still suggest Dark Souls 3 first.

Dandadan is a show about reclaiming testicles, yet you will get parts like the last episode that are super sad. This dichotomy is something pretty rare to pull off right and that’s why I love Dandadan. It will also introduce insufferable characters like this bitchy princess popular girl…. And then make you like them by the end of the arc.
Okarun’s goals are far more conceivable than Luffy and Naruto xD And honestly, more important that he achieves it >.>

I haven’t seen Blue Lock so I cant really comment on it, I just heard it sucks and was wondering your opinion. Speaking of sucks…. Have you heard anything about Oshi no Ko ending? The manga recently finished and most people hate the ending. And I am spiteful enough that I am gloating about dropping it early xD Feels good to be right ;P

I guess I can understand from an entertainment perspective. If we watched Subaru just doing the same thing but slightly different over and over it would get boring. So its forgivable, but real obvious ones like just telling Reinhard not to kill the Wrath Archbishop… they probably should have at least addressed why he couldn’t do that haha.

Yep, Nel was there just hiding in the background haha. Waiting for her entrance moment. That fight between Renji and Ishida was insane. The Thousand Year Bloodwar arc has been so good god damn. Do you have something you are excited for the most? I cant wait for Urahara Bankai and Yoruichi thundercat transformation. So the Askin fight is what I am super keen for. But then like Adult Toshiro is also high up there. Urgh I just wish I could binge watch this so bad.

So I watched One Piece back when I would binge watch the hell out of anime. Like some days I could get through 20+ episodes. I cannot do that these days, but I had so much fun when I did. Maybe if I was in your position where you have been a weekly watcher for far longer, then I may have caved and converted. Like if I got up to date during Dressrossa I probably couldn’t have survived that pacing without binging. But when I caught up the animation was already starting to improve. And now the animation is great and I am fine with sticking as anime only. I am pretty sure I got up to date around episode 850 during the Whole Cake arc. Which doesn’t seem that long ago, but then I realise it is almost 300 episodes ago GOD DAMN.
Also there is a difference between Rayleigh dying and Rayleigh sacrificing himself. If he just loses a fight cause he is old like Mike Tyson, or gets overwhelmed or something that is fine. Its if he is winning and then sacrifices himself for someone younger that I will be pissed.

Ais is Bell’s main love interest, but she hasn’t really been main to the story for a while. And what was Ryu doing ;_; Its actually kinda insane how quickly she got caught. Just imagining it from glasses perspective, all the effort she went through to save Ryu just for Ryu to run infront of Freya immediately. But the fact that Ryu isn’t gonna get brainwashed will be important later on. I am liking this arc quite a lot still. Its amazing that Danmachi has managed to improve over the seasons instead of fizzling out like a lot of series do.
That ‘the world forgets’ certainly isn’t a new plot, but you are right that it also isn’t exactly overused. I remember it being the premise of the first Bleach movie. Did you watch the 4 Bleach movies? Im pretty sure it’s the first one where the Soul Society forgets Ichigo.
How is Boruto doing btw? I know the anime had insane amount of filler at the start when I dropped it. But how are you finding the non filler content since it has been out for a while now.

And also just fun side note, while Lies of P and Dark Souls 3 are still my top recomendations after Elden Ring.... Stellar Blade which came out this year is also very good it just had a trailer drop for DLC with Nier Automata :O

Stellar Blade is very fun but also not as difficult. There are still definitely some challenging bosses but I would still think of Lies of P and Dark SOuls 3 as Elden Ring contenders before I think of Stellar Blade. In saying all this I also consider Stellar Blade to be my Game of the Year for 2024.... so I am totally just sending you mixed signals at this point xD

Driving in the rain is fine…. Driving in the rain with other cars on the road is fucked. Playing sport in the rain I never grew out of ^.^ But unfortunately everyone else did so I still don’t get to cause I cant solo sports ;_;

Better than or on the same level as Elden Ring…. I am sorry my friend, but no such game exists. Anyone who tells you they liked a souls game more than Elden Ring is because they played that game first. I don’t know a single person that started with Elden Ring and doesn’t consider it there favourite soul’s game. There are a lot of games that come close though. If you want my recommendation, I would probably suggest Lies of P. Its probably the best soul’s game that isn’t made by the developers of Elden Ring and it came out last year so its still very modern. Its like a horror take on Pinocchio and combines parrying with dodging in the combat. Parrying is a very fun mechanic and a good introduction if you want to try souls-like like Sekiro. But if you a game as close as possible to Elden Ring, the closest you will get is Dark Souls 3. A lot of people still consider Dark Souls 3 to be better than Elden Ring… but again, those people played Dark Souls 3 first ;) But the fact its still comparable shows its still a very good game.

There is a prequel to Nier Automata which is Nier Replicant. It’s the same world but a long time in the past. Devola and Popola (the twin red heads) were both in replicant so it was a shock to see them in Automata cause they would be VERY old in that case. And only 1 other character was in both, but they got snubbed in the Automata anime. Do you remember the random head they find and runs away?

I would assume not cause it was a very fleeting thing in the anime, but that head (Emil) is another major character from Replicant.
So they couldn’t do a continuation, but they could do a prequel…. Or do side stories of what they missed like Emil’s story or Devola/Popola origin.

I love how Turbo Granny is voiced by Luffy xD And the main alien is voiced by Zoro…. This is what the one piece cast is doing while one piece is on break. I love the facial expressions Ayase makes and how tf is that her GRANDMA!?! Her grandma is like MeiMei in JJK, a milf that gets ruined by a shitty haircut :( OH, and you know how I compare it to Gintama…. Look at the face mask the grandma is wearing SHE IS TOTALLY WEARING THE FACE MASK OF MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER FROM GINTAMA!?!?! I do not remember if that is new or I just forgot she did that haha. But yeah, the whole point of this series is getting Okarun’s testicles back ^.^ Stupid fun that can get pretty deep when you don’t expect it too.
The animation didn’t bother as much in Uzumaki as it did most. Most of the time it was fine, but then certain scenes like them running across the beach was so bad it was hilarious. Overall I definitely remember enjoying the manga more, but the anime wasn’t unwatchable at least. I just don’t get how they can run out of budget after only a single episode. I read it a while ago though and I don’t remember some of the fucked up stuff like cannibalising the snail people ewwwww.
Unfortunately I am not a dragonball fan. Have you dropped Blue Lock S2? That is one Ive been hearing the animation is as bad as Uzumaki… except it is a lot longer than 4 episodes.
I too have only been watching sequels and Dandadan. I do plan on trying Yakuza Fiance, I have seen some shorts on youtube that made me laugh so I was planning on giving it a go. Ill let you know how it goes.

You are right about ReZero being good that the boring stuff was in the first episode…. But like I have already forgotten all that setup and only remember from archbishop of wrath onwards >.> Which I am not proud to admit, but I kinda tune out political talk if it goes on for too long. I am fine with politics if it isn’t for an hour straight. But I have liked every episode since. One thing that gets me though in these time loop anime is when they give up on a promising strategy. The time he called Reinhard failed because killing Wrath killed everyone else. What is stopping him calling Reinhard again and just saying don’t kill her? Was there a reason he couldn’t do that.
I also still don’t care for Garfield…. I am sorry but I doubt I ever will care about him ReZero. The best part about his scenes is Elsa haunting him (I miss my crazy girl). Looks like I am not getting Echidna and you aren’t getting Rem this season, no one is getting best girl in ReZero Season 3.

I cant wait to see more Bleach, the TYBW adaptation has been so good. In the latest episode I was surprised to see Grimmjow by himself. Again let me bounce what I recall off you, but I thought pretty much all his appearances in Soul Society were with Nel aswell…. Did they ever split up?

I don’t know if I will watch the Fishman Remake tbh. Its really cool they are remaking arcs to be updating, but they are starting with one of the least hype arcs. Like yeah maybe that’s why they picked it, to try and make a not great arc better. But like I don’t think the animation and pacing was all that was wrong with Fishman, I also just didn’t really like that arc that much. Idk I might pick it up, I love one piece after all.
You can throw all the symbolism you want at me about what Garp sacrificing himself for Koby means. Does not change the fact it sucks when a cool character dies saving someone less cool. Screw the new generation, old men in shounen are bad ass.

I also doubt anything will beat the previous season of Danmachi. But I don’t think you have to worry about a best girl contender. I don’t think anyone is swapping to team Freya after the last few episodes. I did see a lot of thirst traps for Freya holding back her hair in the rain on the internet haha, but I don’t think anyone is liking her more than Rya right now. I am still personally on team Ais though. Which tbf might just be nostalgia. I shipped Ais when I started Danmachi what feels like decades ago…. She hasn’t done a whole lot recently though. As a character right now I like Aisha more. Which I am honestly a little worried about cause she is the only one we didn’t see the fate off after Freya familia beat the fuck outta Hestia familia. My worry aside, I don’t ship her with Bell though… she is just my BEST GIRL rn ;P

Im no Tolkien fanatic so I don’t think that nit picky stuff will really bother me. But I am also still not very interested honestly. I like Lord of the Rings a lot but it just kinda sounds like a cash grab on a popular property rather than actually adding to the lore or universe. As someone who hasn’t seen it I obviously cant swear by this, I could be completely wrong. But this is the impression I have gotten as a third party which doesn’t really motivate me to try.
Right now I am watching Vox Machina cause its season 3 just started. A DnD based animated series on Prime and it is awesome. One I am excited for on a similar scale to Invincible.

As a fan of K-pop, Korean Barbeque and Tattoos… that is enough to get me interested in South Korea.
With what you are describing, there are some activities I would love to try that aren’t here in Australia. For me its not so much attractions like the Great Wall of China, but for example I have seen videos of glass sky towers. Like the top of a sky scraper with slides and bridges where you can see straight down. No idea what its called but I think its in China. Anyway, my interests align more with an activity rather than a sight. So wherever said activity is I would love to go while probably not actually caring to much about the country, so similar to you.

I love playing sports while wet ^.^ Cools you down and you don’t feel all sticky from sweat. Once like soccer where the wet grass can bog down the ball can be annoying…. But then slipping on the grass brings an extra level of silly difficulty that just makes me laugh. I love rain all the time except when driving. And I don’t even hate driving in the rain, I hate everyone elses driving in the rain and I have no patience for getting stuck in traffic xD Playing basketball in my drive way during a storm is one of my goofy little pleasures in life.

I only played 1 class in Elden Ring. I played the game 4 times but I always did new game plus, I never created a second character. My character was a confesser and my first build was a faith build. Now I am like 200 and something so I can essentially just use whatever I want without worrying about having to specifically spec into something like you do early game.

So the Red Queen of Nier Automata was an AI created by the aliens. It did represent the machine network and was created to essentially lead the machines to victory. But what the aliens didn’t expect was that it priortised evolving, so it would intentionally fuck with the machines and the androids so that no 1 side would win. This would give the machines time to continue evolving. Eventually it evolved enough to kill the aliens that created them, you see the alien bodies in season 1 if you remember. It did also create the virus that fucked up the androids.
Basically the androids were created by humans (living on the moon) to fight the machines that were created by aliens (living underground). But the big secret that 9S would keep getting close to discovering is that the humans and aliens were already extinct. And the red queen was keeping the androids and machines in a state of constant war.
It ends with the pods gaining enough sentience to rebuild 9S, 2B and A2 in hopes that they can finally progress with the machine war finally over.
The ending is one that had me thinking for ages, I think the anime made it alittle to hard to figure out what was going on though unfortunately. Endings that leave you thinking about them are the best kinda endings. While this adaptation was better than your average game adaptation, it definitely was not on par with the greats like Arcane, Castlevania and Cyberpunk Edgerunners.

Agatha is one I am willing to try. WandaVision is one of the few marvel series I enjoyed so I am considering it. Maybe after I watch Vox Machina.

Yeah the Umbrella Academy ending was just not good. Regardless of the situation Five cucking his brother…. Like where the fuck did that come from. It just was a pretty lame way to end the series…. And still fuck Ben.

Dandadan is hyped for good reason ^.^ I cant wait for more of this. Strong gintama vibes but without the slow start. So if it is too late to get you into Gintama, this is the next best thing ;P
I think my favourite Ito Junji property is Tomie, but Uzumaki is a close second and I think his most popular series. The dude really must be smoking something when he comes up with these ideas haha.

How you finding the season so far? Re Zero really tested me haha. NGL the first episode was sooooooooo long. For being movie length a fuck tonne of nothing happened. But then the end of ep 1 and ep 2 were awesome. You could say most of episode 1 was the setup but like it did not need to be an hour and a half. But thankfully the pay off has been good and I am keen for the rest of the season now.
Bleach is just awesome. Fun seeing Senjumaru’s bankai since it wasn’t in the manga. Shame we knew it wouldn’t work though. Unless there is more new content am I right in saying squad 0 arent in it anymore? I think I remember Ichibe revives them like he did himself, but they don’t actually do anything for the rest of the war?
Btw One Piece has been awesome. These episodes since the animation upgrade have been so good. I will say I am sick of seeing sick characters sacrificing themselves for worse characters. Name 1 person who would rather Koby survive over Garp >.> I am hoping Garp survives considering Aokiji froze him over. This ‘Next Generation’ shit be damned…. Nothing will be as devastating as Erwin for Armin but Garp for Koby is rough haha.
Danmachi has been interesting. Definitely a chill start compared to the devastation of the last season which I am fine with. Let Bell’s biggest worries be girls for a bit before he starts suffering again unlike Suburu who has kicked off immediately into suffering.

Rings of Power season 2 has got you hooked on middle earth again huh. I have once again only heard bad things about Rings of Power. Did you enjoy it? Ive just been watching a bunch of cartoons actually. Turn your brain off stuff like Gravity Falls and Amphibia while I do other stuff.
Well as someone whom has now experienced New Zealand, albeit very painfully…. It is definitely still worth it haha. I need to go again and experience more. But first I should hurry up and go somewhere else you want to go before you. Is South Korea on your radar? I am considering going there next year ^.^

Does weather usually stop your activities out of interest? Unless an event is actually called off by an organisation and there is nothing I can do, I don’t let the rain stop me. In fact I usually enjoy stuff in the rain more. Sport in the rain is great for instance :D
Volleyball is one I have always wanted to play actually but haven’t. I have done basketball, soccer, cricket, softball and a bunch of others but never volleyball. I am totally down to play any sport tbh.

I have nothing against OK games, that sounds like the kinda game I would get when it goes on sale. Games I have to play I get instantly. But OK games that I am sure I would enjoy to some extent, I am fine waiting for it to be cheaper and Outlaws sounds like that category. I am fine playing Space Marine 2 in the mean time which is fucking awesome btw.

While Quidditch is a fantasy sport, it is still technically a sport game yeah? Just like Sport anime, I don’t really have any interest in a sport game haha. Sport is only fun when I am the one physically playing it >.< That isn’t entirely true, I did enjoy Rocket League for a little bit… but I still don’t really see me getting Quidditch.
Even 20 tries deep I don’t summon, I am way to stubborn for that >.> So Promised Consort Radahn was an absolute menace. The only time I summon is for open world areas with tonnes of enemies. I see no problem bringing in 1 extra guy if I am against an army. And I did ues Igon against Bale cause that was just cool xD I think my favourite DLC weapon was Milady while using Wing Stance. I never really tried long range tbh, so I never used a bow. I did try the beast claw and it was fun but the movements were to long for some quick bosses like Rellana. For Rellana I used the Back Handed Blade which was another favourite of mine. The Blind Spot ashe of war was very fun to use.

Oh they DEFINITELY knew what they were doing for A2 and 2Bs outfits haha. Infact in game there was an option to self destruct… which would put you on 1 health and blow up all your clothes except your underwear xD So you can play in nothing but underwear if you were brave enough to be 1 hit from death.
There have been a lot of differences between the game and anime but a big one recently was with Pascal. After he finds the dead children he actually just gets so depressed that he asks A2 to either kill him or erase his memory. So you as the player get the option to either kill Pascal or leave him as a mindless husk.
The girls in red AI that remind me of the red queen from the first RE movie were also a lot more confusing in the anime. Did you understand there purpose?
I know the last episode is out and I am gonna watch it tonight, but as of now I don’t know how the anime decided to end it. What were your thoughts? There were 3 different options in the game based on the 9S vs A2 fight. Very interested to see what the anime went with.
That’s so cool that you are gonna do a 9S and 2B cosplay. I went to a convention where the VA of 2B was (she also does Mikasa from AoT) and we got her signature. When we met her my sister was cosplaying as A2 which was pretty funny…. To be dressed as her killer.

I assume you watched Agatha? I have not and don’t really plan to unless convinced otherwise. Did you like it?
I did watch Umbrella Academy and I personally didn’t really like it. Mainly just cause I really don’t like any characters. Like Ben has to be just one of the worst characters, all he did was insult that girl in the diner and she ends up falling in love with him. It just felt so stupid. And that scene where they were all puking in the van. Dear god it was unbearable, I do not do well with Vommit and it JUST KEPT GOING. But overall I think my biggest problem was the focus on Ben and I actually just hate that character. I liked him more in season 1 and 2…. When he was dead.

Do you know what shows you plan to watch this season. I am sure you were already going to, but nonetheless I shall express with the utmost urgency that you should definitely watch Dandadan. That is one of my favourite manga right now. Besides the obvious sequels like Re:Zero, Bleach and Danmachi the only show really on my list is Uzumaki. One I don’t actually have a lot of hope for because Ito Junji manga does not have a good reputation of being adapted well. But I will still give it a chance cause I love horror and I love the Uzumaki manga so here’s hoping they finally nail an adaptation since it’s one of his biggest ones.

From memory I am pretty sure I remember the helicopter pilot saying we flew over Isengard. He also mentioned a tower but I don’t think it was the eye or Sauron… I am not sure which one it was though. Dang, I should have been taking notes on the flight xD Would you go specifically for Lord of the rings locations, or just visit them if they were in the area?

Picturing your encounter in my head sounds like it has come straight from a comedy. Screaming over something somewhat minor *cue laugh track*… then after settling down for a brief moment you look up and see actual danger *cue laugh track*…. Only for both of you to run from the other. Classic.

I really don’t know how I feel about all these prequels and spin offs. I still just cant get excited for them unless I hear they are good. Which is why I didn’t watch Gen V or House of the Dragon until both seasons were already completely finished.
Butcher being the final boss huh. I can imagine him going down more of the Code Geass route and pretending to be the final boss just to unit both sides. And I use the word pretend loosely cause he is already kinda acting like a villain. But I guess I se it as rather than being malicious, he is intentionally turning everyone against him if you know what I mean. Again, not that I am suggesting the boys team up with homelander…. My analogy is kinda falling apart huh xD I still don’t think Butcher will be the final villain, I think his treachery will still suit the good guys purpose.

How was the camping? I used to go camping once a year but I haven’t now in like 5 years. We used to bring like a boat and jet ski and do water sports on the lake, then drink beers and play drinking games all night haha. Not quite true camping but it was fun.

How have you been finding Star Wars Outlaws? I have heard it isn’t as bad as what I would expect from an Ubisoft game, but I still haven’t heard enough to make me want to get it like I did with Fallen Order. I instead have been playing Black Myth Wukong and am excited for Space Marines 2.
How did you like the Elden Ring DLC? I loved it, I personally thoroughly enjoyed the difficulty. I am one of those crazy people that adds artificial difficulty by not using my summons in boss fights. I do to clear areas but in boss fights I like the 1v1. Promised Consort Radhan and Rellana were almost the death of me, they certainly brought me to the brink of insanity. But I love misery >.>

Ask me anything Nier related ^.^ I truly love the game and story behind it, it has been a while though, watching the anime has me thinking of playing the game again. There are certainly some areas I need refreshers on haha. And a lot of the A2 stuff at Pascals camp has been anime only stuff. Which is nice, I am all for more A2 content. Your comparison with Re6 is correct, but you don’t play 1 characters full campaign then anothers. It’s more like the game is split into chapters and each chapter you will change character. So you will play as A2 until a certain point, then when like she leaves pascal’s village you will swap to playing as 9S invading one of the towers. And they do intersect and certain decisions will effect the ending. So obviously I assume we will not be getting all the endings.

I have been getting sooooo many Youtube Shorts of people dancing to Bye Bye Bye it is insane xD And they even changed the name of the original music video to ‘the song from Deadpool and Wolverine.’ That is pretty hilarious.
I truly am over the multiverse stuff though, even making fun of it is getting stale. All of franchises, not just Marvel seem to be doing it and I think that is my real problem. If it was just part of the Marvel story I may not be so sick of it by now.
Oh and side note, from the Xmen cartoon Gambit was my favourite x man…. So seeing Channing Tatum as him was awesome and Gambit does some seriously sick stuff in the new Xmen cartoon. So this has been a good year for Gambit fans.

So 1 show I picked up was Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction. This is an interesting one, aliens invade earth but just park there vessel above Japan and don’t do anything. The ship is just hanging there and after they send nukes and landing parties and achieving nothing, they just go back to normal life with a giant UFO just hanging there. Then mysterious things start happening, Im pretty keen to see how this show plays out.

What live shows are you watching now? After finishing House of the Dragon S2 Im kind of at a loss for live action shows. I feel like there were some on my plan to watch that I am forgetting right now.

New Zealand was very surprising to me too actually. My cousin was like ‘wanna do a 2 week trip to New Zealand in a month?’. I mean, I wasn’t going to say no xD It was so cool, we did a helicopter trip that took us over some Alpines and Lord of the Rings filming areas. But I didn’t really recognise them from the movies, I don remember the locations frame for frame. But it was still beautiful af.
Yeah I Still need surgery for my shoulder, waiting on the public system sucks and its not good. Ive been in a sling for 2 weeks and will need to be for at least another month, and who knows what ill be in after surgery >.<

If you compare Sylphie to my normal favourite characters you are definitely correct ^.^ She is nothing like them, but then no one in Mushoku Tensei really is. I do like other character types like Miwa from JJK but then Jobless doesn’t really have anyone like that either. So honestly I don’t have a super stand out favourite in Jobless, the timid/shy girls are just normally my least favourite.
You see, if Rudy already has 2 wives why not stop at 3. But given Eris is a tsundere I don’t see how he will accomplish that feat with her. She will be way less understanding than Sylphie and Roxy.

Confirming Black Noir died behind the scenes….. bollicks. That isn’t how theory crafting works. I can keep coming up with wild ideas and then you will be impressed when one of them proves to be true! This one just appears to be less and less likely (watch the OG black noir come in and kill everyone in the last episode of the last season!). It was awesome how the last episode ended with all the Gen V characters coming in. So the last season will probably have way more cross over between the two.
Would season 5 of the boys or season 2 of Gen V happen first.
I find it kinda insane butcher could snap Neuman in half. I always thought tentacles to be a pretty shitty ability cause they aren’t usually that strong. But are these tentacles that could rival homelanders strength? I could understand them ripping a normal person, but Neuman? Guess we will see. What did you think of the finale?

1 week on 1 week off, that actually sounds pretty ideal. I would totally try and plan little trips… take advantage of that. Pretty shitty you had to cancel your Japan trip though. My friends already wanna plan another Japan trip too in Feb, but I don’t know if I will have the leave since I am using it all now with my injury. Maybe by Feb I will have enough then. I don’t think Ill be playing either of those games. I woulda played quidditch as part of legacy, but not an entire game dedicated to that. And Star Wars Outlaws…. I don’t know how much you know about game companies but it is made by Ubisoft, and I am not an Ubisoft fan at all. Ill wait till its out and if its any good Ill play it. But given Ubisoft history it is not one I currently have high hopes for. I’ve been playing the Elden Ring DLC and having a blast ^.^

The Deer anime is very strange and enjoyable. I don’t know if I would really recommend it yet, but I am having fun with it.

So about Nier, since I played it so long ago its hard to know what we find out later and what has been skipped. I dont want to give spoilers if it’s a reveal later, but they might have also just skipped the content. So Ill do my best.
Basically the S units are really smart and so they are paired with an execution unit (2B) which kills them if they learn too much. The humans on the moon have a secret which hasn’t been revealed yet, but basically they will order the termination of 9S if he starts getting close to the humans secret. But 2B doesn’t know why she has to kill him as she isn’t aware of the secret herself, she just gets the order to kill him. Which is why she keeps trying to distance herself from him.
Now one thing I loved about Nier is the protagonist swap now. One of the only games to kill off the main character and have a different one part way through. The first half of the game you are 2B and 9S as they are battling the robots. Then 2B gets infected with the virus and 9S watches A2 kill her. A2 has been aware of something going on and disconnected herself which is why she was labelled a traitor whenever we saw her earlier. But since she disconnected she was safe from the virus that infected every other Yorha unit. And now the rest of the game is A2 trying to stop the moon people while 9S is hunting her down trying to avenge 2B.
It’s a protagonist swap like Last of Part 2 but if Abby was actually likable ;P

That’s totally a shame, if you were to pick up any new shows I would honestly recommend the new season of xmen the most. It is the best super hero related content I have watched in a while. It would totally be worth it to watch a short summary on youtube of the original series and then watch the new one. I actually liked it so much!

Now I have seen Deadpool… have you? Only read this part if you have watched it. I really liked it, best marvel movie in a while. The bait of having Chris Evans and foreshadowing captain America…. And then him being the human torch was hilarious. And the cameos of Channing Tatum as Gambit and Blade being in the movie was totally a surprise for me. And there is something about 2 people with regeneration fighting that is just fun to watch. Whenever 2 heros have an argument and fight you know nothing actually bad is gonna happen, but when they are both essentially immortal they are still fighting to actually kill each other so it just makes it more fun.
My only real complaint is that I am sick fo the whole multiverse thing. Which they are aware of cause they joke about it…… but then they still did it. I cant hear the word multiverse without just sighing now. I knew it would be a factor since they cant have wolverine without it. But it doesn’t change the fact I am tired of it. Which I think would honestly put it as my least favourite Deadpool movie. But all 3 were awesome, and being the worst Deadpool movie is still better than 90% of movies I have seen recently :)

Also I forgot to mention Nier at all. At the end of the first half Adam was still alive wasn’t he? Which is new cause he was supposed to die, but now they are moving on with the story? Hmmm I do love magic based stuff but like Magus Bride in particular. Idk, I even rewatched the first season to try and get into it more. But I just found its college arc no where near as interesting as Harry Potter.

Hmmm, I don’t think its because Sylphie was in the less interesting arc. Her personality is just too timid for me…. And iits just unfortunate she was in the slower arcs. She did score some points in how she handled Rudy being a player. And I mean her attitude towards Roxy more than Rudy… it was pretty wholesome how accepting she was. But Roxy and Eris are still way better ;)
I was predicting a death too but I thought they would all get to be together for at least a bit. Like reunite for 1 night and then Paul or Zenith pass away. Killing Paul off before completing the rescue and then Zenith being a vegetable was just brutal.
How do you feel about the polygamy twist. This was the only spoiler I knew, and I could accept him being with Sylphie as long as it wasn’t only Sylphie haha. Now the question is… what about Eris.

I am 1 episode behind on the boys. Was it supposed to be a reveal that Jeffrey Dean Morgan was part of his mind? I still love the boys but like I honestly thought we were supposed to already know.
I really thought the Black Noir from S3 would have survived but I am getting less and less confident with that theory the more we see this new Noir.
And I am glad we saw Gen V cause it is being referenced more and more now.

I have heard really good things about the fights in Acolyte, I keep hearing the choreography is excellent. But besides that I only hear its getting worse. The episode with the sith fight I heard was good, but besides that I am only hearing negatives unfortunately, so I don’t think I will watch it. I haven’t even started House of the Dragon yet and that easily takes priority anyway.

Kaiju no8 I honestly think is fine. I still watched this season so I thought it was worth while revisiting… I just wouldn’t be adding it to any favourites lists. If you think about it, like all the story points are the same as Attack on Titan and like you said, Hoshina is Levi xD It’s fine for some fun, but I am definitely more excited for something that feels completely different.
And speaking of that I have been watching Go Go Loser Ranger and really liking it. If you don’t have many shows this season maybe you can go back and watch it too. Although, I am only 4 episodes in and don’t want to do you dirty like I did with Ninja Kamui haha. The MC is immortal but weak, and forced to play the role of a power ranger villain. The power rangers themselves are like the Seven in the Boys, totally narsastic and corrupt. They bully the immortals and now the MC is rebelling by infiltrating the power rangers. I look forward to catching up on this one.
Sakamoto Days I thought for sure was this season. Idk how I fucked that up… or it got delayed? Either way Im pretty sure that will be a big one for that season of anime, but I will give it a miss. Its your typical retired assassin settles down but the organisation wont let him…. But the twist is he is fat now. So Fat ex top assassin vs assassin organisation.

Oshi no Ko I have probably still read more than whatever the anime is up to actually, so I really did give it a chance. I have started Tower of God yet but I will. Back when the story wasnt stupid convoluted and I still liked the characters that are being concentrated on.
Also side note, my favourite anime is airing its 12th season so I am excited af!! Nothing further, I am just happy I get more Monogatari haha.

Actually I think most Light Novels have manga as well. Because the publishers know novels aren’t for everyone and manga appeal to a much wider audience, and a lot of anime series don’t finish. So the manga is for the people that don’t want to read a novel and the anime gets cut short. Pretty much every isekai suffers from this actually. Isekai anime almost never finish and ppl don’t want to read the novel.
Aye now, cmon. Don’t pull the Harry Potter card on me. I have read the books, watched the movies and played some of the games. I may not be as big a fan as you, but given I am a decently big fan clearly there is not a correlation between harry potter and these series.
Why do I hate Sylphie so much? In the words of Garnt, the worst sin you can commit is being boring. Sylphie is like the embodiment of the most uninteresting parts of this whole series. Im not saying the college arc is bad… but comparing being on the road with Eris, the college with Sylphie and rescuing Zenith with Roxy… which would you consider to be the worst part of Mushoku Tensei. The pace slowed WAY the fuck down in the college and we were there for what, like 16 episodes. When I think of this series I thought of his adventures with Eris primarily… and right now I am engrossed in whats happening with Roxy. Its like when Sylphie is around…. Nothing happens. Given the 3 main romantic interests, she is easily at the bottom.
And these last episodes have been wild, rip Paul :( I thought at least he would get to meet Zenith. And I cant believe after all that Zenith is mentally handicapped. At the VERY least how could Zenith not be ok. That’s just absolutely rude

Yeah so instead of picking something up from this season, I caught up on Dungeon Meshi instead. It aired last season and continued into this one. I kept hearing good things about it and watched all 24 episodes the week the last episode aired and I loved it. It was sooooo good. I was worried there would be a big focus on food which is why I didn’t watch it at first. And while it does have a decent focus, the rest of the show was awesome.
Well I obviously remember Kafka cause he is the MC. I was talking about Side characters haha. Could you name characters like the pompadour guy, or the green hair guy, or the guy with the sides of his head shaved?? I cant, and I am up to date on the manga and anime. The characters just don’t stand out in this series. And honestly its kinda just a PG Attack on Titan. Which can be good, with how much I love Attack on Titan I can definitely enjoy something like it. But its no where as brutal and I am not attached to anyone whereas in AoT I was too attached to too many people.
Hey now, you calling me out >.< Farmland Saga and Mushoku Tensei college arc were not bad. They are just the type of thing that lasted too long and you dont need to experience more than once. Both of those series I will continue to watch from now on, I just didn’t see the need to subjugate myself to those ok arcs again. Oshi no Ko was just extremely disappointing to the expectations I had before I read it. Kaiju no 8 is fine just not really unique and I am all about unique right now.
Like next season the big one is Sakamoto Days, another one I read and found to be just another shounen and will not watch. Im guessing you will watch it, probably like it cause it isn’t bad…. But it just doesn’t feel original. The season AFTER that though, we get Dandadan. And I am so GOD DAMN excited for Dandadan, now that is unique.

Im catching up on Konosuba now cause I fell behind while I was binging Dungeon Meshi. After that I plan to watch King’s Avatar. Keen for season 3, but I will probably need a recap on season 2 aswell.

I know exactly what you are referring to in regards to the animation in overlord haha, and its only 1 specific scene. The animation in general is exactly what you would expect from Madhouse, being pretty damn good. But one type of enemy they used CGI for and MAN did it look butt ugly. Their animation is on point but their CG sucked, thank god it was only 1 enemy for 1 or 2 episodes haha. It was the same in Frieren actually, the episode where Frieren fought Aura, Aura had that headless army… and the army was CGI and it looked like ass. But not enough to ruin the show at all ^.^
I too like FMA more than frieren honestly… but Frieren being the one to take #1 is not one I would complain about. If Oshi no Ko was still up there, then I would have a problem ;)

Reading Mushoku for this arc has been ABYSMAL!!! But the anime has officially passed the manga HURRAY. I am continuing now. And the first episode I see he reuinites with Roxy, something I have been waiting for forever. I been stuck in that god forsaken college for GENERATIONS in a vanilla ass relationship with the most boring elf in history… the minute Rudy ditches school and the bitch ass loli he immediately does something I have been longing for. FINALLLY I can be excited for Mushoku Tensei again!
Aight so the Light Novel for Mushoku Tensei is done. If you wanna spoil it for yourself its right there (which I am pretty sure you wont xD ). I spoiled how it ends relationship wise with him cause I could not accept Sylphie was the end game. But I haven’t spoilt anything story wise. After the light novel they made the manga which I have been reading. After the manga they made the anime. And the anime literally just passed the manga with the last episode. The last chapter of the manga Rudy just met his dad again, and Paul found out he was married. So now I am right back with you in the anime…. For only 4 episode haha.
Oh and I gotta ask. What do you think of these college arcs. I was miserable in Mushoku Tensei, I am currently miserable during Magus Bride, and Black Butler is also currently doing it and I am bored out of my mind in this one too. I also wasn’t a fan of Mashle. And I have come to realise do I just hate college arcs? But then in my memory I remember liking the college arc in Magi Kingdom of magic. Has my taste just changed since then? Or was Magi just better?

So with Fallout I have only played Fallout 4, and that was ages ago. So I know enough lore to understand and recognise enemy types and factions of civilisations. But not enough to really point out inconsistencies. Your friend sounds like a die hard fan haha, not one I could compete with. But I really liked the series and they didn’t even use the most infamous creature in the series. I read they didn’t wanna use all the best stuff at the start so I cant wait to see this enemy in season 2. And I think it is definitely a series you would like.
I also definitely think you would like Gen V, I loved both these series and hope you find the time at some point to get around to them both.

YEAH! Go Go Loser Ranger was the other name I was going for. When I originally messaged you the name I use I hadn’t even heard of but I couldn’t remember what I actually heard haha. You found it. No I haven’t started it either, I ended up watching Blue Eye Samurai instead. You heard of that one? It isn’t on MAL and has been out for a while, but was one I was meaning to watch for a while cause I heard a lot of good things about it. And it has been living up to my expectations so far.

Kaiju no.8 for me suffered from character and dragging. Character wise the only ones I even remembered were Hoshina and Shinomiya. I couldn’t tell you the name of a single other side character. And the arc I am on now has been lasting far too long. I did like the series where we are now in the anime and for a while to come. But it definitely one that I would starts to fall off. I wouldn’t say it gets bad, but I really don’t care for any of the other characters and the fights where I am just don’t seem to ever end haha

Nup, I heard 7 seasons for Solo Leveling and I choose to take this information and imagine it will get a full adaptation which will be 7 seasons long. I keep hearing good things about Wind Breaker…. And I keep trying to start it. But everytime I almost hit play, I remember everyone comparing it to Tokyo Revengers. Im sorry but starting your comparison with something I really don’t like >.> I just haven’t had it in me to try. Takemitchy was not my only problem with Tokyo Revengers, so describing this as TR but better…. Still doesn’t convince me haha.
I haven’t tried any others yet, I have honestly just been catching up on previous seasons. I am watching more now, but I caught up on Shangri-la and Dangers in my Heart from last season. Now I think I am ready to tackle this season.
The Fable sounds the most interesting from the ones you listed, but I have also been hearing this is a situation where most people say to read instead of watch. So I am considering doing that. Ill probably give Viral Hit a try. But one you didn’t mention that I have also been considering is Ranger Reject. You heard of this one? I have been hearing a lot of comparions to Invincible and The Boys, and that is always a good comparison to make. And with Invincible just ending and The Boys about to start…

Speaking of Arcane, did you watch the Fallout live action? The voice of Jinx is the main character in fallout and that is a live action that caught my interest. I loved it. I am not a Fallout veteran, I have not played all the games but I have played 4. So I don’t know a tonne of lore, but I know enough to follow the story pretty easily.

I watched Solo Leveling with my brother who also read it. As soon as the season ended he couldn’t wait for the next season and reread the whole series again.
Necromancers are actually like the best main characters. The perfect level of ruthless and still a good person. He now has the power to rise the enemies he beats, so its hype af when he is against a cool boss just hoping he raises them after. Igris is one of my favourite summons of his. He definitely gets some other great ones, but Igris is the OG. Its kinda insane that its already been green lit for 7 seasons. I don’t know how much I trust that though…. Just look at Witcher haha.

I went and caught up on Ninja Kamui. I am not one to usually be part of the hating CGI camp, but the mech fights lowered my interest in this series greatly. For never really having much of a story or characters, its fights was easily the highlight by far. And the first few episodes were great, but the mech suits looked so whatever. Like it wasn’t bad, but when its dragging down the only good thing about the series :/ What did you think of the mech suits?

I still haven’t watched Gen V, I intended to watch it before messaging you again but I ended up watching Fallout instead haha. I did watch the something along the lines of the Gen V/The Boys… the latest season of Invincible. I definitely liked part 2 more than part 1. Not that disliked part 1, it just felt like it had a bit of filler.
I started talking about Invincible totally assuming you had seen it… then realised there is a chance you haven’t. I doubt it, but its possible.

Yeah you are right, Frieren isn’t an isekai… I meant fantasy haha. All isekai are fantasy but not all fantasy are isekai >.< I wanted to ask who you thought would pass and fail the last exam but I was too late to ask haha. I remember being surprised Ubel passed, and hilarious that Serie didn’t wanna talk about it. And Methode thinking Serie was cute was why she passed.
Some of the characters from this arc will pop in and out of following arcs. There is actually still lots of content, they could totally do another season right now even ^.^
Im not actually up to date on Undead for the same reason and Ninja Kamui which you asked about why I am behind. Not because of negative reasons, I just don’t watch a lot and I am priortising. I only really watch anime during lunch on weekends now and Ive been prioritising Frieren, Witch and Beast and Solo Leveling. Now that Frieren is over ill probably catch up on Undead then Ninja Kamui. Ive also got some public holidays coming up when I was planning to binge Undead Adventurer.

I usually don’t forget characters completely but I can definitely forget why I liked them. So not quite to the extent of your Nezumi example, but a lot of the time I remember ‘I like this character, but I don’t remember why’. So like the characters I REALLY like, like the ones one my MAL page are the ones I definitely remember why I like them haha.
With Mel I remember us theorising she was the most likely to have died in Jinx’s rocket blast that ended the season. Because in that room Jayce most likely would survive and Mel dying would inflict the most mental damage on him >.< So I wouldn’t be surprised if you went through the effort of remembering her and then she dies first episode next season xD

Based on there only being 1 solo leveling episode left I would say this season is going to end on Sung Jin-woo getting his main ability. Like so far he doesn’t really have abilities, he just has stat increases like speed and strength. Its gonna end on him getting his actual abilities and I am gonna be SOOO hyped for next season.
You’ll find he is pretty much always going up against enemies that are around the same level as him. The story is about him getting stronger and testing that strength on the next strongest enemy haha. So it will never really be a Saitama situation.
Oh yeah you definitely get a pass on Cha Hae-in, like I don’t think they have even name dropped her until episode 11. Cause she isn’t supposed to be in it yet xD I should have just said the short haired blonde that pops up here and there. Given where this season is gonna end she shouldn’t have been in it at all, which is probably why they wanted to do some fan service by showing her. I also don’t think Jeju Island is supposed to be this early, this would be like sprinkling in the Chimera ant arc in Hunter x Hunter. This is like the giant world ending raid and not for ages haha. There’s a chance I am mis remembering or forgot the scouting mission, guess we will see next season. Surprises for us both.

Sounds like we have the same opinions on Ninja Kamui, I didn’t expect the story to bother you as much as me though ;) I thought you would enjoy these revenge plots more than me, but what you described is basically how I felt. I am not inspired by the story at all, I am happy to just mindlessly watch it as a cool action show which I will probably like overall but not think much of it after I am done it.
Yeah Idk why this one got such a good budget, the thing that got me to watch it is cause like the director is the Jujutsu Kaisen director or something like that? Maybe he used his own money for a personal project or something?

Something like Avatar Last Airbender is something where curiosity could get the better of me, there are just a lot of live series I already have planned to watch. Like the top of my list rn is probably Gen V, the spin off to the Boys which I still haven’t watched yet.

Konosuba and Slime I am definitely watching. Date a live and yuru camp I am most likely watching. Demon Slayer and Hero Academia we will see >.> Mushoku Tensei tell me when they leave the magic academy and I might start watching again… I really do not want to watch the Sylphie love story ;_;

Kaiju No 8 was the only real new series I new of. But then my friend showed me a trailer for My Deer Friend Nokotan and it looks hilarious.

Frieren 100% gets my vote then. The animation for episode 26 was insane, that was JJK season 2 levels of animation and something I did not expect. This is a case where the manga is great and I think the anime is even better.
Stark will become main again after the exam. Imagine if he was in the exam, he would basically be like Mashle, getting by without magic.
I think my favourites go Frieren, Ubel, Methode then Stark. Real sad this is ending in 2 episodes, then I am gonna have to find a new isekai.

Oof I remember you saying you liked Mel too xD What happens when there are YEARS between seasons. Hopefully that means it will be good at least. I still think its pretty cool they are turning an arcane character into a league champion.

Summary episodes always suck and I skipped it without giving it a second thought. I didn’t even realise there was a ‘controversy’ around it. Series have summary episodes all the time, and I skip them all the time. No harm done… people suck.
What do you think of Sung Jin-woo so far? I also find it hilarious how much they are including Cha Hae-in so far. From memory I don’t think she was supposed to appear at all yet… but she is a fan favourite and they keep giving her cameo’s.

So what did you think of Ninja Kamui? After the first episode I thought for sure this would be a show for you. The fight in the opening was dope. I just hated how obvious it was his family would die haha. I think it could have been cool if like the kid died and it was him and his wife against the organisation or something a little different to mix it up. But it still seems cool af so far. Cyberpunk Ninja Warfare.

Ill give Undead Adventurer a try then. I really don’t have much this season and I do like the look of the girl that definitely isn’t Frieren despite what the link says. You know the girls I like ;)

The Live Action Avatar, no I did not. On the internet I heard it was shit but then from people I know (like you) I have heard its alright. Still though I just don’t se the point in live adaptations. If I wanted to watch avatar again I would just watch the cartoon. Even if the live action is good its not gonna be better than the cartoon so whats the point. I watched the One Piece one cause im probably not gonna rewatch all of one piece from the start, but Avatar is only 3 seasons so I could.
Idk I am not completely against trying the live action, I am just not very motivated to right now. I also have a tonne of games to play which are keeping me occupied. Maybe after I finish those.
