Hey!

Well as European, I don't think we have to complain about our living condition, education and health system.
For sure, it's not perfect but I know that at least 60% of the population would love to be at our place, living in a stable and organized country, far from war and poverty. That's true that Finland is a quiet country, most of the people know the country just for Laponie lol.
Do you like bread and potatoes? In my opinion, it's the most basic food in the western region but it does the job and keeps you warm. So I guess it helped Fins to keep up with the cold weather.
About Finland history, the only thing I know is that over its long history, the country had been under the influence of Swedes and Russian.
Btw do you have blond or brown hair? My friends explained to me that it's the two most common hair colors for girls lol, don't know how accurate it is.
Would you like to visit a country in Africa one day? It's so hot and I'm wondering how you would deal with the hot weather in contrast to the cold weather you have in Finland.

That makes a lot of sense! Loving your country without putting others down is a great mindset. Finland does seem like a unique place, I've heard about the "sisu" spirit, the love for nature, and, of course, the sauna culture. Lately, I also heard that in Finland, the Parliament is in favor of a law banning gender conversion therapies, so I think it's a good place for the LGBT communities to be there, is there a lot of people who display their belief in Finland?

Something funny, my friends are joking lately with the Finn words "pussi", saying "In Finland, you know you can buy pussi?" At first, I was like wtf are you talking about... I'm sure you can understand the joke by what that means in Finns, but in English, it resembles a slang word with a completely different meaning lol.

And what I like with France? There are so many things that make France so special. It's a fascinating country with so much to love.
-Rich History & Culture: From the French Revolution to iconic artists like Monet and Picasso, France has shaped global art, philosophy, and politics. We even influenced political democracy in the US too hehe.
-Stunning Architecture – The Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, Mont-Saint-Michel, and charming villages like those in Provence are breathtaking. That's why we are the most visited country in the world. Yay! -Delicious Cuisine
– Croissants, cheese, wine, coq au vin, crêpes… French food is world-famous for a reason!
-Beautiful Landscapes – From the lavender fields of Provence to the beaches of the French Riviera and the snowy Alps, France has diverse scenery. -Art & Museums – The Louvre (with the Mona Lisa), Musée d'Orsay, and the Pompidou Center house some of the world’s greatest art.

Wow, so you are actually a gamer that's cool especially for a girl lol... Damn you remind me so much of my teenage years playing all these games especially Final Fantasy XIV and Seven Days to Die. If I'm not wrong it was 10 years ago or something like that. Did you play a lot of video games during your teenage days? Now I feel so old that I don't know how to play the Nintendo Switch or whatever my little brothers tell me, I don't understand how the buttons work lol...

Omg so I'm not the only person who uses YouTube as the main source of music, my friends say I'm weird and that I should use apps such as Spotify or Deezer. About my favorite social media, I don't know if I can say Discord and YouTube lol.
I mainly use Discord to communicate with my friends and YouTube to watch documentaries or to see channel news.
How many hours per day do you think you spend on social media on average?
Ohh so you play puzzles, I'm not into it personally, I know that my little brother is into it, he takes several months to finish one lol. What makes you like puzzles?
The reason why I don't use TikTok, hmmm, I think it's because I consider it to be a social media for the young generation, like my little brother who is 10 years younger than me and I don't want to get involved with all the TikTok dances and scrolling just to not get bored haha. I'm already spending a lot of time in front of my screen lol.

I totally get what you mean! It's fascinating how different learning styles work for people. It sounds like your visual memory is really powerful when it comes to writing, which is awesome because it helps you remember things more clearly. Would you consider yourself a shy person or do you just not communicate with people because you only mind your own business?

During my graduation ceremony, I will get my diploma paper, it's a ceremony that will happen in a stadium so we will have a lot of graduates and parents coming there. Not sure how it will go, but there is a concert and congratulation speech. These kinds of stuff. With my friends, we plan to have a party at one of my friends, he got his apartment in Paris. Well, people always say that the next semester is gonna be hard, I feel like it applies to all semesters but at the end, everyone passes their exams and so on. Are you someone stressed when it comes to exams or rather chill?

Ohh so you moved quite early from your parent's house! Personally, I moved out for the first time when I was 24 years old and plan to come back to my parent's house. I mean I prefer to save all my salary to buy an apartment instead of wasting it on rent.
Do usually people move early in Finland from their parent's house and is there a certain age it doesn't feel right to stay at their parent's home?
I will be 26 years old soon, in the next few months, I'm already depressed thinking about that lol...
Do you have any advice to overcome this please lol? Since you're older than me.
But yeah I agree with you, my life starts to be mundane, I'm thinking about my goals in life, social life, having an apartment and in order to overcome that, eat more healthily, meditation, and sports. When I was 5 years younger, I didn't have to think about all these stuff, now everything looks so difficult...

It's interesting to hear your perspective about family and career, I do think the same that family is more important but overall, I would prefer to pursue my career, to guarantee financial stability for my family.
But I also heard from a lot of dads even mine that they missed a lot of moments with their kids when they were young. But to answer your question I would probably hire a nanny if my partner wants to pursue her career as well. (That will cost a lot of money huh)
But personally, I had an idea about how I would educate my kids, like making them learn multiple languages, travel a lot, and so on. How would you educate your kids?

That's ironic, I have been to McDonald's because my little brother wanted to go there, they were making an event about Minecraft figurines, despite me saying to him multiple times, McDonald's is trash, I will never get satisfied with their food, that we should go to Burger King haha. I'm on my phone sometimes or do other stuff on my computer when I was bored during class lol.

OMG yes, Aespa was AMAZING!! The concert was so high-energy—their stage presence is unreal, and the visuals?? Next level. You have to see them live next time! I totally get what you mean about the phone thing though.
At my show, so many people had their phones up the entire time—like, full-arm extensions—and I had to keep ducking around them.
It’s wild how some fans treat concerts like a filming session instead of just vibing. I miss when venues were stricter about it too!
That said, don’t let it scare you off bigger concerts!
I’ve found that:
-Floor seats = phone hell, but higher levels/balcony usually have better sightlines (fewer obstructions).
-Fan events/smaller gigs still have that old-school vibe sometimes—less filming, more screaming lyrics together!
Maybe we just need to start a "Put Your Phone Down" fan movement lol. But seriously, the hype of being there still outweighs the annoyances for me. Have you had any good concert experiences recently where people were more present? (Also, who’s your Aespa bias?? Mine’s Winter—that girl’s stage aura is illegal.)

I'm not a fan of rock but I appreciate the Beatles. About the GazettE, huh what a coincidence one of my friends introduced me to that group a few days ago, she is totally into their music. What do you like about their group? You can recommend me some of their songs lol.

For Dororo, did you also watch the old version or only the recent one? I don't plan to watch anime from Spring yet, I need to catch up with Fall 2024 and Winter 2025. DanDaDan, Re Zero, Sakamoto Days, Solo Leveling!

See youuu!!

Hey!

It's understandable that you want to live in Finland. Once again, Finland has been elected as the happiest country to live. Do you feel proud to be a finn for this decoration?
But someone told me that Finland is the most boring country in the world, with brave people but boring and the food is average, although it's just his opinion. Maybe someone envious haha.
What makes you love you country overall?

I'm the same as you. I mostly text with my friends through discord. As far as I remembered, the only time we called each other on discord was during lockdown, when we all help each other to succeed at our online exam haha.
What games do you usually play with your riends ?
About voice messages, I feel like it's only common for girls. Most of the time they send tons of voice message that I feel like I'm harassed. To be honest, it's a pain in the ass, when you are in a noisy places and have to listen to them.
Same here too, If I sent a laughing emoji to my mum, she will ask why are you sad.
Is TikTok the social media you use the most ? I don't use the app, but I always blame my little brother to spend so much time on the social media, he is mad at me.
Looks like it's so fucking addicting.
What kind of content do you usually watch there?

That makes sense that you only focus in Japanese to get good grades haha. To be honest, if I spend most of my time speaking an other language than french I'm satisfied.
I would love to improve my German but I'm just lazy , and people who speaks German in Switzerland is not the same who is spoken in Germany so...
I have always been good at learning language as long as I live in a country and try to meet new people, that's how I usually learn.
Do you feel like you learn more efficiently by practicing with other people or by yourself with books,shows,... ?

I agree with you, in today market it's really difficult to find a job. So, if you can find a job that allows you to pay rent and food, it should be sufficient and after you might look for a better job. In two weeks, I'm gonna have my ceremony graduation, I'm stressed lol.
How do you think will be your ceremony graduation?
Well, I was drained with work, I had a hard schedule waking up at 6 am and coming back at home at 11 pm, because I had a lot of meeting with partners and travel didn't help at all, but now I'm doing better and feel motivated.
If it wasn't for a good pay, I wouldn't do the job lol.
Did you already feel overwhelmed with your studies?

Life was simpler when you were 20-23 years old, sure you had to studies but didn't have to think about finding a job for your career, you were energetic and enjoy life.
The more you get older , the more you had to think about the money, building a family, pay the taxes and more lol...
Why do you think 19-22 years were the old good times? I'm curious haha.

In my opinion, spliting each week the care of the baby between the man and women seems difficult to applicate, I mean it really depends on the job, needs to adjuste the schedule exactly with the partner and so on.
Do you think you might take a break during your career to take care of your baby or prefer to hire a nanny to pursue your career?
In France, most of the time it's the women who is in charge of the kid.

About fast food, I completely with you McDonald is so industrial, the taste is bad and it's expensive for nothing. Last time I went there, I was still hungry lol.
The reason why I like Burger King is because my stomach feel satisfied when I finished, although I might agree that it's not good for health.
Damn you are so lucky, being in a country where buying homemade is cheaper than cooking ourselves is a must !
But do you feel like you gain weight by choosing the easiest way haha ?

Are you the kind of person when the lessons are boring, draw to keep your attention away from the teacher haha?

Haha, I see what you mean Japanese concert doesn't have the vibe and excitement you might have in europe. Poor you having to bear someone who rested their hands on your shoulders haha.
But when you are in a concert, usually are you the kind who cheers and excited, or you still introvert ?
A few weeks ago, I went to a kpop concert, the band was Aespa. The kind of music I like I would say pop culture in general but I'm open to everything.
How about your taste in music, what do you love?

Currently, I'm watching Dororo and the anime is so enjoyable, I love the main character :)
What are you currently watching ?

See you !
Jeremk Mar 9, 2:41 PM
Hey!

I'm the same as you ,I don’t want to travel too far from home for work, but sometimes rent prices near job hubs are just impossible, so commuting becomes the only option. Do you think you’ll stay in Japan long-term, or is it just for now?

I completely agree ,texting is so much easier than speaking! You have time to think, rephrase, and even edit before sending, while talking is instant and sometimes stressful. Do you text a lot with your friends, or do you prefer calling sometimes?
I don’t really use emojis much, to be honest, and I also avoid abbreviations,I just like keeping my messages clean, especially in English. How about you? Do you use a lot of emojis when texting?

No, I don’t speak Swedish. My level is really basic,I only know a few words, definitely not enough to have a conversation. Do you still practice the languages you learned in school, or have you forgotten most of them?

Do you have any clearer ideas about what kind of job you’d like to do in the future?
Work has been exhausting for me lately,it’s really draining me mentally. Sometimes I just wish I could go back to my teenage years when life was simpler! Do you ever feel nostalgic about your teenage days, or do you enjoy adult life more?

I think France offers a lot of benefits when it comes to family support, healthcare, retirement pensions, and so on. But of course, we pay a lot of taxes for that, and I think they’re going to increase again this year.
In France, the average age for women to have their first child has gone up to the thirties since many focus on their careers first. Do you think women in Finland take long career breaks to take care of their kids, or do they try to balance both?

Wow, your next election is in 2030! That feels so far away. I didn’t realize your president serves for six years,in France, it’s only five. Are people generally happy with the current president, or is there a lot of dissatisfaction?

5 euros for a meal in Japan seems pretty reasonable! In France, it’s harder to find something decent for that price you usually need at least 8-9 euros.
Being in Japan must feel a bit like being on vacation, so I totally get enjoying fast food while you can! My favorite fast food is Burger King—I usually eat there when I go out with friends. I wouldn’t say I love fast food, but it’s definitely convenient. What’s your go-to fast food place?
And yeah, eating too much fast food isn’t great for health, it can mess with both physical and mental well-being! Are you trying to cook more at home now, or do you still mostly eat out?

That’s so cool that you’re an artist! What kind of things do you usually draw? I’ve never been good at drawing, even as a kid, and I honestly hated anything artistic in school. Do you work on digital art too, or do you prefer traditional drawing?

Haha, yeah, French girls tend to be on the shorter side! It must be such a nice change being in Japan where you're taller than many people. That concert experience sounds amazing, being in the back row and still having a clear view is such a rare luxury! What concert was it?

The wind sounds brutal, but at least the warm sun during the day makes up for it a bit! Over here, the weather is sunny for now, but next weekend it’s supposed to rain… Do you prefer colder or warmer weather?

Anyway, take care! Cya!
Jeremk Feb 22, 10:02 AM
Hey!!

Well if people gets in your way, just push them back so you can show that you are mad for standing in your way haha ! I think that there is a lot of people in Tokyo because there is a lot of tourism and it's the place where the job opportunity is the most important.
Do you mind doing a lot of transportation far from your workplace as long as you have a house in a quiet place?

I'm not talkative myself especially with my close friends, I'm rather the kind of person who prefers to listen to people story and quiet myself lol. I think it's more entertaining to see my friends fighting into each other for trivials things than get involved in discussion, and get ask for their support.
But when it's with people I don't know well, I just start casual talk to get to know each other.
And yeah some person has an accent when they speak english, making them difficult to understand lol.
Would you say that you are better at talking to people if it's through texting instead of talking ?

I'm used to go to hike or do some run with a Swedish friend , he wanted me to teach him a little bit of french and then he started to teach me basic stuff in Sweden, that's how it start.
Did you learn all this language at school or you learn it by yourself ? It's really impressive ! Maybe in the future you will be a language teacher haha.
You seems to be really good at learning language in a fast way.

Yeah, Finland really seems to take care of families!
For example, there’s the Allocations familiales, which are monthly payments for families with at least two children. The amount increases with each additional child. Then there’s a one-time birth allowance to help with initial baby expenses. Parents also get parental leave, and childcare assistance exists, but it depends on income.
One big difference is that France doesn’t have the baby box like Finland, though some local initiatives have started something similar. And public transport isn’t free with a baby buggy like in Finland/
I think the main reason why people doesn't want to have baby it's because of the uncertainty of the world and are more career oriented.
Do you know the average age for Finns people to get their first child?

About politics, I also agree with you, I would like to have a middle ground approach but the politician are so stubborn that it's impossible to get an agreement.
We will have an election in 2027. And yours ?

If you don't usually cook, how do you feel yourself then lol ? Do you usually go to the supermarket and buy prepared food ?
Lol me and my friends we were making crepes and it turns out to be a disaster lol. So I don't think it's easy, it depends on the definition that person has of the diffficulty haha.
Well if you live in a touristic city , eating out outside is quite expensive but if it's in the countryside it's affordable. But nowadays young people spends money for everything like eating out, going to the club or drink beer, which doesn't make sense and then complain that they are broke.
Do you often go to fast food so ?

Lol why do you consider messy ? I though that all girls and organized when it comes to daily life tasks. In my mind that how it works haha.

If you are under 160cm, then that means that you will live longer than people who are taller than you nice ! You are average if you were in France :)
But Japanese people are usually not tall too. So did you feel normal with your heigh there ?

Is the weather still good enough for you to do outdoor workouts ? And yes, you should definitely try to explore a lot of places in Japan while you have time, because when you will come back in Finland, you will be back at your daily routine.

See you :)
Uberzilla Feb 18, 9:20 AM
Thanks for accepting my FR. How is it going? ᕙ(^▿^-ᕙ)
Jeremk Feb 9, 9:48 AM
Hii!

I don’t go to pubs much either, only when my friends invite me. I think lively places can be fun sometimes, but I definitely prefer quiet spots where I can enjoy the scenery. If I spend too much time in a crowded place, I start feeling overwhelmed. In France, when streets get noisy with people chatting, it’s often seen as a sign of a great atmosphere, like humans being in their best element. I get that, but I still prefer peaceful surroundings. What about you? Do you like the energy of lively places, or do you prefer somewhere calm?

Ohh, speaking is the hardest for you? Is it because you're more of a quiet person, or is it just about confidence in the language? I totally get it,writing and reading feel easier because you have time to think, but speaking happens in real-time, so it’s more challenging.

Yes, I can speak four languages: German, Spanish, English, and French. It’s mostly thanks to my work, since I’m in a country with four official languages. I also know some basic Finnish and Swedish, mostly simple words… and a few bad ones. How many languages do you know?

I understand why Finland needs more workers to support the retirement and education systems. But aside from tourism, what industries is Finland famous for? I always hear about the high quality of life, but I don’t know much about its economy. Encouraging people to have more kids could be one solution, but I guess many young Finns prefer to study and work abroad. Paris and Geneva seem to attract a lot of them, and some even speak French quite well! Have you noticed that trend too?

Yeah, Finland ranks high in quality of life, and even though the taxes are high, they seem to be worth it for the stability and services. In France, the political scene has been shifting a lot,Macron’s party was dominant in 2017 but has lost ground to both the far-left and far-right recently.

National Rally (RN) is strongly anti-immigration, pushing for stricter border control and prioritizing French citizens for jobs and benefits.
La France Insoumise (LFI) is on the opposite side, supporting immigration and emphasizing that France has always been multicultural.
Renaissance (Macron’s party) takes a middle-ground approach, advocating for controlled immigration with both economic and humanitarian considerations.

Hope that helps give you a little insight into French politics, even if you don’t like the topic much!

Haha, we have the same taste in Japanese food! Sushi, takoyaki, and ramen are definitely essentials. That’s so cool that you made takoyaki with your friend! Was it hard to make? I don’t cook much myself I usually leave that to my sister and little brother when I visit my parents. They love cooking, so even if I want to help, they don’t let me. But yeah, I cook when I have to because eating out or relying on canned food isn’t great for health. What about you? Do you enjoy cooking?

I totally agree with you about attraction. Looks can play a role at first, but personality is what really makes someone stand out. There has to be at least some level of physical attraction, though if there’s zero, it would be hard to make a relationship work. For me, good values, hygiene, and organization matter a lot. I couldn’t live with someone super messy—that would drive me crazy. Finance is also important. I’d want my partner to have a stable situation so we can avoid unnecessary conflicts. What do you think? Do you consider money an important factor in relationships?

Oh, and speaking of Finns, I feel like Finnish men are so tall! I don’t know how they all seem to hit 1m80+ while I barely reach 1m75. That’s probably the one thing I might be jealous of. As for Finnish women, some are so pale they almost look anemic! But I guess it’s just because of the lack of sunlight.
Are you a tall girl ? I bet you are at least 1m73 (safe to say that).

Yeah, running and walking are great because they don’t cost anything, and you can do them anywhere. I get why gym memberships can be expensive. I don’t go to the gym either, but I know a lot of people love the structured workouts. Do you prefer outdoor workouts, or are you just trying to stay active in general?

See you!

PS: I saw that you read Frieren Anthology, I was thinking about buying it. What are your though on it ?
Jeremk Feb 2, 8:08 AM
Yeah, I get that! Finns just have a different way of socializin it doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy being around people. Compared to those from Central Europe, it’s definitely different. Their culture, history, and economic background have shaped the way they interact. Since they’ve had a tradition of heavy drinking, alcohol often plays a role in socializing, making people more outgoing. It’s kind of similar to the Japanese ,at first, they might seem reserved, but once they’re in a pub, they can be totally different. Have you seen this firsthand?

By the way, your Japanese must be pretty solid if you can handle bureaucracy! That stuff is tricky even in your native language. And great job improving your English keep it up! Do you feel confident in writing and reading as well, or is it just speaking? For me, I’m super fluent in German and Spanish when speaking, but my writing is awful because I never really focus on it. Fun fact: I still can’t recite the English alphabet because I was too lazy to learn it in elementary school!

I read a report saying Nordic countries are among those most likely to adopt stricter immigration policies due to pressure on the welfare system. Migrants face challenges like learning a difficult language, finding a job, and adjusting to cultural differences. Some governments also focus on security concerns. Does Finland have a strong anti-immigration party? Compared to Sweden, at least Finland hasn’t had major terrorism issues caused by migrants. On the other hand, when it comes to skilled workers (engineers, accountants, etc.), the government seems much more open to welcoming them.

I totally agree politics is such a tricky subject. People get so emotional about it, and it’s easy to feel like you have to watch what you say. But I think it’s important to hear different perspectives instead of just arguing. Do you still have faith in your government to improve living conditions in Finland? In France, people have lost all hope. The cost of living keeps rising, taxes go up, but nothing seems to improve—it just keeps getting worse.

Haha, yeah, food is a universal favorite topic! What’s your favorite Japanese dish? At least Japanese food is generally healthy, so you don’t have to worry about gaining weight.

Paris is definitely crowded, but you get used to it. At least we have easy access to museums, events, and everything we love. Living near Tokyo must be expensive, but it’s great that you get rent support. In Paris, apartments are always expensive, and prices keep increasing because no new housing is being built. Even if you find a good deal, it likely needs renovations due to legal restrictions on renting out old apartments.

I get what you mean about dating. Being picky is a good thing you shouldn’t rush into anything! A 2–5 year age gap isn’t a big deal, just a little extra maturity. Dating younger guys can be tricky since many just want a girlfriend to brag about rather than being serious about a long-term relationship. Are you more into looks or personality? Personally, I wouldn’t want a partner who goes to bars all the time that’s just not my lifestyle. Plus, I don’t want a big belly!

When I first started running a few years ago, it was just to lose weight. But then I started tracking my times like aiming to do 6 km in 30 minutes. Some days I hit it, some days I don’t. Now, I feel like I could run a marathon since I’ve built up endurance over long distances. Plus, it keeps me in shape! Walking is a great way to stay active too. Have you ever thought about going to the gym or swimming? It’s fun!

Talk later!
Jeremk Jan 31, 1:52 PM
Heyy!

I’ve noticed that Finns, especially Finnish girls, tend to be more reserved and don’t always feel comfortable talking a lot. I initially thought you might prefer being a lone wolf, but it seems that’s not the case for you? When I travel abroad and meet new people, I often bring up cultural differences between France and their country—it’s a topic I really enjoy discussing.

Personally, I don’t mind speaking a foreign language with native speakers; in fact, I see it as a great opportunity to improve my language skills. However, I’ve noticed that some people prefer speaking English rather than their native language to make someone more comfortable. Has that happened to you often in Japan?

It’s cool that you mostly speak Japanese! Do you feel like people treat you differently depending on whether you’re speaking Japanese or English? How comfortable are you using Japanese in more complex conversations?

Racism is unfortunately everywhere, but I think white women tend to experience it less than men. That said, I’m glad it hasn’t been a major issue for you. From what you’ve shared, it seems that in Japan, racism is expressed more subtly rather than through direct confrontation, which makes it harder to address. In France, racism is on the rise, particularly toward people of Arabic ethnicity, followed by Black individuals. How would you describe racism in Finland? A Black friend of mine who visited Japan mentioned feeling like people avoided him, often giving him stares, especially women who kept their distance.

Farming sounds incredibly tough—imagine working 50 hours a week and being paid peanuts. It’s just unfair. On another note, politics can be a touchy subject. Some people get really heated or even judgmental if your opinions lean toward an extreme party. In France, it’s often better to keep your political views to yourself unless you want to risk being ostracized. I only really pay attention to politics during elections; following it daily would probably give me a headache! What topics do you usually discuss with Japanese people? I imagine it’s mostly about manga or places to visit?

Disneyland Paris is actually located about 30 km outside the city. The name “Disneyland Paris” is mostly a marketing strategy to attract international visitors by associating the park with the French capital. Paris itself isn’t that big—it’s 21 times smaller than Tokyo and half the size of Helsinki—so there was no way the park could be built within the city. Your Disneyland story reminds me of my own experiences—waiting in line for two hours just for five minutes of fun! I’ve been there many times since it’s close to where my parents live. I even had an annual pass until last year. It used to be a great place to hang out with friends and unwind after exams, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve lost interest. How would you describe the cost of living in Japan compared to Finland? Is it more expensive or affordable?

I don’t think I’d want to live in Quebec, Canada. I’d prefer the English-speaking side of the country—I think I’m a bit tired of living in French-speaking regions, haha. I’ve been looking at apartments, but they’re quite small—30 square meters for €500,000! I’m hoping to find something around 80 square meters at a reasonable price, but it’s tough. Are you planning to buy a big house? For now, I’m leaning toward buying an apartment that I can eventually rent out.

Haha, yeah, she just stared at me like I had something on my face. But you’re right, not every Finn is like that—I’ve met some really outgoing ones too. It’s funny how stereotypes exist for a reason sometimes. I get what you mean about dating a Finnish guy being easier because of cultural similarities. Plus, if you’re planning to live in Finland, it makes sense to be with someone who already understands the culture and language. Have guys tried to make moves on you? How do you usually handle rejection?

Tinder can be such a mess everywhere, right? I totally get not wanting to deal with cheaters or drama, even if it’s not serious. Does that mean you’re more into older guys than younger ones? I tend to avoid dating in France because, honestly, the girls can be a bit “meh” and not always well-educated. I don’t use dating apps, but it’s pretty easy to meet people in Switzerland, where I work. Most of my colleagues are Scandinavian or Finnish, and through them, I’ve met a lot of new people. Joining clubs or group activities has also been a great way to expand my social circle. How about you? How do you meet people if you don’t use apps?

And yes, I’m running a marathon! I’ve done a few half marathons before, so I’m both excited and nervous about the full one. Do you run or play any sports? If not, what do you like to do in your free time?

See ya!

Hi !!

Good to hear that your Japanese has improved. When you said that you are not good at talking do you mean that 'you are not able good at finding a subject to talk' or ' you can't hold a conversation for too long' ?

That's funny when you says to me that Japanase people are polite but sometimes it's tiring haha. What kind of experience did you have with them ?
I know that Japanese people are famous to apaologize for hours about something irrevelant, in France we just say sorry for a split of a second and life continues as if nothing happens.
You are a white and pretty girl so of course it's normal no ones gonna be racist with you. But my friend who was black , said to me he was exposed to racism when he was in Japan, so that explain why. Do you mostly talk Japanese or english with them?
And haha, I guess the way to discuss with people is different all around the world. I mean Finns prefers to stay quiet and talks only when necessarily and Japanese one tend to struggle to be straight.

And no, pesonally I don't think the strikes help the farmers in France; it's not their fault but rather the government who prefers to stay silent about that.
That's sad but I think French agriculture is gonna die because of the unfair competition coming from South America and Spain.
Ohh and lately the relationship between French and Algeria ( a former french colony) has worsened because the Algeria government refused to take back a dangerious Algerian national.
How is the political situation in Japan ? Are people talk a lot about politics or just mind their own life?

During wind warning, well we just need to stay at home, not a difficult task haha.

Ohh then it's the same with Disneyland Paris, a lot of people thinks it's in Paris but in fact it is located to a city close to Paris, they just add the name of the city who is the most popular to attract people haha..
How was your experience at DisneyLand ?

I already lived in Switzerland for my previous job but I would definitely love to live abroad maybe in the US or in Canada.
I mean the taxes in France are just crazy so I would love to run away from that lol. But for now, it's not possible because I have the project of buying an appartment in Paris ( and then to rent it later).
Have you though about buying an appartment or a big house?

I personally prefer to date a girl from another country. French girls, well they have a special character, they are adept of the one night sex and not really into a serious love relationship.
In fact, I already date a Finn girl when I was in Switzerland but she was like , she is gonna talk to me only if I ask question and starres at me until she finishes her meal, that's unfortunate because she had beautiful blond hair and blue eyes but smokes..
And how about you , Do you prefer to date a Finn guy or a foreigner?
Have you already date some Japanese guy ? I think you might have your chance and Japanese man are famous to not be tall which can be a good match with you if you are short. lol

Well, I have set some goals like buying my own appartment and run a marathon but no resolution because I know that I never keep them.

See you !

Hi !

Good to hear that you have been able to finish all your exams. Cool that you have been able to sighseeing, it's important to discover other stuff than just for school. And Japan is definitely a beautiful country with his nature and clean cities.
Have you been able to improve your Japanese a lot ? I mean by talking with the locals for example.
Personally, I don't like to write essay , definitely not my cup of tea because writing too much gives me a headache. Ohh interesting that you enjoy to write fictional essay, which kind do you usually like to write ?
In my mind, Japan is a country apart compare to the european one with their food, their culture and respect towards you elder.
What surprises you the most during your stay there ?

Poor you to had to experience the public transportation during the rush hour, for someone like you who privilege their personal space haha.
I'm kind of curious like does people smeel bad and if you felt uncomfortable there ?

Well, Farmers and railway workers protest a lot during the end of the year because some want to get better working condition, better salary while other denunce the unfair competition with countries such as south america.
Usually, people strikes to put people in a tough spot and paralyze France so the government has to take important decision to move further.

Nothing spectacular to have snow in Paris haha, I mean it just last for one day and melt as soon as it arrived. Didn't have the luxury to enjoy the snow. For now, we mostly have wind warning, not fun and the next days are only filled with rainy days.
Ohh cool that you live in Chiba, do you have some plan to visit other cities ? Maybe you can take the boat to visit Tokyo and maybe go to Disneyland haha.

Lol 'If you can spend the silence with someone and be comfortable, you know you have found a soulmate' , that's funny. I mean being a couple in Finland must be weird if you live in the same roof. It's basically being in front of your screen non stop.
I wonder, do you image yourself living in Japan ? If there is a job opportunities that comes to you ?

It's true that French men are quite stylish, French men have impeccable fashion sense and always dress stylishly, even casually. But i don't recommend you to have a french boyfriend, smooth talkers and hopeless romantics who excel at wooing women. I even have some friends who had like 4 girlfriends at the same time, just for the pleasure to have a ton of sex so yeah ... talking about cheating shamelessly is one of their characteristic.
But fortunately not every french men are like them.

Good that you can manage your money, so will you be able to stay in Japan for an extended period of time ?
I think i'm good at managing my money, I'm not someone who spends a lot of money because I have projects like having an apartment and travel.
I don't define a fixed budget, I'm more the type 'I have to spend the money because I have to do it'
But for your exchange semester in Japan, you have some help from your government no ? I do think it's too much if you only rely on you own money.

Ohh didn't know that in Finland men have to go to military service. In france we don't need to go to the army.

And
