It depends if you prefer reading. I've only read rough translations of some of the LN's so can't say I prefer them. I would recommend just watching the anime since it adapts the novels pretty well from what I've heard and the series is almost completely adapted except for a few side stories and an epilogue which will probably be adapted into anime at some point.

My recommendation is to watch the Kizumonogatari movies after you watch Bakemonogatari. After that, just follow the order in that link.

It's a pretty long series but just search for Monogatari series. If you're actually interested in watching it start with Bakemonogatari.
