Hello, its me! I've been infiltrated by the organization.
WHAT???
Don't give me that crap, you were suppose to be the one who will do that.
If you did not even do that, then it must be the choice of Steins;Gate that opposed your responsibility in doing such things.
Very well, El Psy Kongroo!

How ever I did notice that the current episodes that you are watching, you just got done watching in-canon filler well at times can slow the pacing down considerbly for the manga material. But you will be glad to know the only arc that has ever added incanon filler is the alabasta arc. The rest of the arcs for the most part are pretty straightforward. That being said, alabasta was never my favorite arc because it felt a bit to generic and typical shonen fare if you will. Where as other arcs have a bit more creative direction behind them and interesting idea's for stories.
One of the greatest, absolutly phemonimal things about one piece though is that oda has mapped the entire story out to a point where you feel that everything is leading to something, a gradiose event or puzzle that will get solved. You never feel like the writer has lost touch with his manga or the overarching narative. I think that is perhaps probably why I consider it to be one of the best shonens out there because not to many authors can tell a story with 1000+ chapters consistenly and lay the bread crumbs long before you actually see these suprising turn arounds and reveals that were litereally hinted many hundreds of episodes ago. The lore and mysteries kind of do take a backseat for a while but the series is really not about the end goal, its about the journeys and adventures that the straw hats encounter as they get deeper and deeper into this world.
Now obvously its not for every one. I would say if you don't like things by the next few arcs, then one piece just may not be for you but if your a shonen fan and you want something akin to hunter x hunter or gintama in terms of execution and consistency, then one piece is your go to for damn sure. Also as you explore and get deeper into the world, the larger world starts to move, and it doesn't just become centric to the straw hats adventures. You will see. It gets pretty crazy and some of the large set piece moments in this series are some of the best in any shonen series out there.
