The first one is cute and spot on, because Snom really looks like something sweet you can eat! And you know designers did a great job if they managed to make an INSECT both CUTE and APPETIZING (for me real insects are neither). The second one was deleted by moderators though??? It seems the picture violated their something something, what was it depicting? Some kind of violence?
I watched Detective Pikachu with some friends, and I think we didn't like it as much as you did xD It was a great topic of discussion and even memes though! Some decisions by Russian translators were also really meme-worthy! So sad though, that Russian translation of Pokémon stuff is only good for memeing. When Diamond and Pearl anime was ongoing, there were SO MANY idiotic gems in our translation, it was a meme fest, like calling Pidgey Pigeon (just a plain ol' pigeon lmao) or, actually TRANSLATING Slowpoke's name (they called it Kopusha - someone who takes too long to get ready to go somewhere), and these two are my favorites: when Team Rocket blasted off in the first episode, James said "When we're flying, the lobster is the boss"... LIKE WHAT?? WHO IS THE LOBSTER AND WHY IS HE THE BOSS AND WHY IS HE ONLY THE BOSS WHEN YOU'RE FLYING??? Did they actually call Wobbuffet a lobster or what??? The second one is also somewhere in first episodes, Dawn called herself a psychic for whatever reason??? Not only wasn't that in the original, it was out of place in that scene!
This artist makes really cute Pokémon art! Their Pixiv is https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/233774
Huh, maybe I should grab a Ranger from eBay and see for myself! I didn't play much of side series/spin-offs, so it would be nice for a change! Actually the only non-core games I played are: Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team (it was fun, but not my cup of tea), Detective Pikachu (still haven't finished it), Go, Masters, and Café Mix (I really recommend it, if you still haven't tried it yet!). Maybe I'm forgetting something...
Okay, I'll be waiting, and thanks for trusting me haha :'3
We also have this kind of attitude toward ethnic minorities among police officers, but since there are barely any black people here, people from the -stan countries and from the Caucasus are the usual targets. I heard you can literally be approached by a cop just because you look like a person from one of those nations. True, sometimes these suspicions turn out true, but basing such decisions on ethnicity is still wrong. Because guess what, all ethnicities have criminals, so naturally there will be some among those too.
I heard it's not like a Direct, but more like what they did in 2018: some kind of a presentation, where they revealed Let's Go and teased a new project for 2019, which ended up being SwSh. It will indeed be about something besides SwSh, so we can expect anything. I think they may touch upon Pokémon Sleep or maybe that Detective Pikachu Switch thing. Personally I of course hope for at least a confirmation that a Sinnoh-based game is in development. I don't care about any spinoff there is, but if they do something new, I might be interested. I JUST HOPE IT'S NOT A NEW LET'S GO OMG NONONO!! And I hope there won't be anything not related to games. I don't care about toons and merch and whatever enough to tolerate a presentation just for those! I guess most of my hopes are that something won't be there, rather than that something will x'D So many stuff I don't want to occupy time in the presentation!
I'm actually quite interested in Pokémon Ranger though. I were even considering grabbing one from eBay, but wasn't interested enough to actually act upon this. Is it really good? Does it remind you of some non-Pokémon game and which one? I don't know a thing about these games, I only know that you don't catch the Pokémon but still command them in some way.
Yeah we should, but we would need something like Discord for this, if you're even okay with sharing yours (and don't worry about me trying to do anything beyond typing — it's not like we would understand each other's SPEAKING anyway lol). It's just that I remember playing with people who weren't registered ANYWHERE aside from some forums, and it was a pain to coordinate everything! I don't know much about games besides Pokémon, so it's the best thing to play together imo.
