how have you been?
yunoholic Dec 31, 2013 3:40 PM
:o when you look at it like that i guess it's nostalgic in a way :3

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to you too! mine was fine. we had a problem on xmas day because i was up til 4 putting together my brother's bike(which he didnt use) so my mother was angry with me for not getting up that morning. over break i did some volunteer work in nyc again, hung out with friends, and really just slept and relaxed! im glad everything is going well with you though :3 what was the best part of the break for you besides spending time with your family? that ice storm seems scary but i bet you all are more equipped for it. 2013 was a great year for me. music was great all around, deeper bonds with friends, and i really branched out into knowing myself more. for 2014 i want to talk more with my old friends from high school, read and write more, and knit a sweater. any for you?

:o im glad you worked so hard! i think the effort is the most important thing you can do :3 the best advice i would give for you in your freshman year would be to just take in the simple things. the more complex things will come. but now is just a time to feel around, dont try to get into a bunch of different things thinking that something will happen. be you. express yourself. :o im so jealous of that judo club. i want to do karate too! ive dont similar groups with volunteering to what you described, but i never actually heard of that group! im glad you got involved though! im really loving classes because that philosophy angle really hits home. especially with zen meditation because what i found was that all of my understandings of myself and the things i found important really found their expression through the teachings of zen. so of course i latched onto it, but at the same time i remained aware of my own understanding, which is exactly what zen wants! i love it so much. ive been doing my volunteering per usual, but i havent gone anywhere out of the ordinary yet :P the big thing with this year is that i wanted to get closer with my friends :3 you keep up the good work too!

it is what it is. exactly, i hope it works out better for you though :3 hopefully you'll both come out with a stronger relationship in the end :D

:D everyone has been so surprised by it. with the bowtie and the knitting ive secretly been a lady killer. so ever since the ex left me ive actually been pretty lucky in my relationships with women. it’s all because of knitting too. something you’d never expect to actually work in my opinion. every time i met a new girl for the first time i say, “im connor and i knit.” you’d expect that to get a laugh, however every time the girl will say: “oh, really? thats so cool, my grandmother tried to teach me how to knit once, but i never really played attention.” you’d expect it to end there, but the hook, line, and sinker lies with my next response of: “thats great! ill teach you how to knit then.”

so far it has gotten me 3 phone numbers/skypes. something i dont think i would have the ability to do otherwise. so of course i need to tell my guy friends from high school to embrace knitting so they can find someone too. none of my friends believe me though, that was until last week.

now it’s always a great time catching up with my old friends, they love the beard and all, but it’s best when you can just relax and “talk to talk.” so last week, before we went our friend chris’ house, my friend steve and i went to his house to hang out and catch up. i got to catch up with his parents and siblings as well, which is always nice since i havent seen them in a while. steve has an older sister, katie, who studied abroad in germany this semester so she was happy to catch up with everyone especially since she got back the day before. she’s also notoriously cold to the majority of her brother’s friends, but her and i talked about study abroad, my beard, and knitting. the family and i talked for a while, and i said goodbye around midnight.

that was last exactly last sunday.

a few days ago i went to see the hobbit. although it was terrible and i would never advise anyone to see it ever, it was a great chance to have some fun with steve, his younger brother andrew(who was busy wrapping presents when i was at their house days before) and two other friends from high school who were younger than steve and i by some years. nevertheless, steve picks me up to go to the movies, turns around and says: “fuck you and your bullshit. after you left my sister came up to me and said, ‘you know what steve, i can really see myself getting along well with connor, i think we should get to know each other more.’”

steve has forbidden her from talking to me.

im actually dying right now

the summer has to be a special time! the last glittering hope of freedom before school enslaves us all :P

my skype is dontcallmeyomi. i use it so often because i have so many more friends that use it :P but have a happy new year as well and best of luck with the next term. it's always a pleasure speaking with you but i always feel bad because i never respond enough!

:3 hey sorry for the long delay, you know how i get at times with school and all that

how was school? i hope the courses went well. how did you feel about it and how is your family? for myself, i switched majors to philosophy and enlgish. my year was awesome except for the fact that my gf of 9 months broke up with me. i dedicated all my time to support her since she was in ireland for the past 6 months, but she broke up with me about a month ago. that really summed up what i was doing, besides community service and picking up zen meditation. i also grew my hair/beard out because my ex wanted me to do it. ill be shaving it but i look like a mountain-man:

http://gyazo.com/826356ead9baded4bde2ad0683658664

those courses seemed difficult! sorry i couldnt be around to talk about them with you. i hope they went well. my classes were great, i had loads of fun in them :)
the classes i took were:
monday/wednesday/friday
social psych 10:00-11:00
Astrology/Universe-2:00-3:00
History:Modern Thought 3:00-4:15(only met on monday/wednesday)

Tuesday/Thursday
English film and lit:animations 12:05-1:40
Japanese philosophy 3:05-4:20
im actually taking an extra class next semester! it will be so much fun, it will look like:
Monday/Wednesday/Friday:
Faith and Reason (philosophy) 9-9:50
Analytic Philosophy (Monday only) 4:30-7

Tuesday/Thursday:
The Eucharist (upper level theology core) 9:25-10:40
Asian Thought 12:05-1:40
Shakespeare II 3:05-4:20
Critical Myths: Banned Books 4:30-5:45
thats a lot of reading ;-;

:3 im sorry i missed out on the end of summer there! it seemed like you really enjoyed it too. im really jealous of the nature that you got to interact with, especially at such a time. i never really had anything to do in the summer. as a kid id go to a day camp but it was nothing like what i heard from you. always the same thing with sports and going to the beach and doing stuff really late and eating ice cream. now it's all a moment in time thats lost in time.

i am sorry i missed out on so much. i hope you have a merry christmas and that you and your family are well and safe. i dont really watch anime that much anymore, and i communicate mainly via the text option on skype, so if you want to get into contact id be more than happy to give you my skype, but i can also understand why you wouldnt want to do that. all the best <3

yunoholic Aug 13, 2013 7:22 PM
im great, thanks! how are you? schools coming soon so i get to look forward to that lol! for books, id recommned: catch-22, all quiet on the western front, all the king's men, the sun also rises, tresure island, the things they carried, no country for old men, 1984, the stranger, journey to the end of night, thus spoke zarathustra, and my favorite: moby dick.

oooh, what did you all do at the cottage? do you usually go camping? what do you tend to do for the summer months, or at least what did you do when you were younger?

hahahaha, you should just skip it honestly. you wont miss out on anything! oooh, the monogatari's are amazing! i cant wait for the next couple episodes! there's going to be a lot of cool things that happen.

i've just had work like usual. got back from otakon yesterday. long day in cars and trains. it was a lot of fun though! was looking for more hidamari stuff, but they only had a couple yuno and miyako figs. there were some wide face nendroids but i wasnt going that way since they cost about the same as the figs. the tooru was "apparently out of print" according to my friend. he knows more about that shit than me, but i didnt really care since i got it for 25 bucks. lol, he spent 750 on tohou figs alone, not to mention another 150 on the madoka blu-rays, and however many for the oriemo and a bunch of wall scrolls. it was a fun time though, i cosplayed as tinkerbell on the last day: http://gyazo.com/6f96827c7f858a1686824508019e16d3

got some pretty cool figs imo. two yuno and one tooru

http://myfigurecollection.net/item/111644
http://myfigurecollection.net/item/85353
didnt spend that much either, only 110 bucks all 5 days. those were the only hidamari things they had of yuno too

hahahaha, you almost go to school soon too! are you excited?
yunoholic Jul 27, 2013 12:27 PM
oooh, thats pretty lucky of you. im glad you are enjoying everything though. gotta enjoy these things while we are young. the books sound cool too. how did you get into them?

oooohhh, that sounds fun. i heard that people in canada and the midwest of the us tend to go to cottages by lakes. do you ever vacation like that? down here we go to the "Shore" or the beach. i guess we are the luckier ones. im not a bike fan of the shore, but the bike job i got down here is loads of fun.

i love it. lewd as hell, but my friend read all the novels and told me that this season will be insane. i cant wait to be honest. the second season is a huge letdown compared to the first. the episode structure and the story told really lack compared to what the first brought. however, on it's own, it's a decent anime. however, it's a horrible sequel. thats the main problem with it. the action is watered-down, and theres not much creativity in powers or plot. id say to watch it though. get the whole experience
yunoholic Jul 12, 2013 4:17 PM
oh, you should see it when it rains! we get no customers at all! the book's pretty good. not my favorite by joyce, but it's pretty good. oooh, howd you find that job? ah, dont worry about it, it's nothing to be frightened about. im glad you had fun in school though. what have you been up to otherwise this summer? it already sounds like you have so much already! what concerts have you seen? have you read anything good recently? yeah, lots of job searching and volunteer work. otherwise im just listening to music really. ill get back into anime with the monogatari second season
yunoholic Jul 11, 2013 8:52 PM
ive been great! things have been pretty awesome on my end. new things include a job currently. im working at a bike shop everyday from 10-6 so it really eats up my time. i enjoy it though. i really only care about the experience from it. and i get to read at work since there's a lot of downtime. currently im halfway through "dubliners" by james joyce. hahaha, loads of volunteering has been completed on my end. not only in school where i gained a reputation for daily service, but also a service trip to florida to work with undocumented workers as they attempt to fight for their basic rights, and from mid may to june i was rebuilding areas of northern new jersey that were destroyed by that hurricane.
how have you been? how was your last year of school? how is your summer so far?
whats college look like?

Sorry about the late reply, stopped using MAL for little while since I was preoccupied with work. How you been?

ToG is just epic...all the chars of Season 1 are going to appear now it seems. Should be some good fights at the battle workshop. Those hired for Violes team by F.U.G are probably gonna get slaughtered lol.

I highly recommend Noblesse, it's just as good as ToG.

Atm not reading any books, been too busy for that. Hopefully I'll pick something up though that will pique my interest. Though I should be reading Hunger Games books if anything since I promised some one I would but...I hated the movie so I'm dreading the book lol.

As for music I listen to almost anything Rap, Rock, Reggae, Classical, but right now I'm listening to Emeli Sande, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Bon Jovi, Linkin Park, Rihanna...and some other random artists. I usually come across older songs on my iPod so I'll listening whatever artist it's from continuously for awhile lol.

Helloo, I'm doing fine, how about you ? :) Hmm, I didn't have any holiday actually. Our holiday is starting next week, so I'm looking forward to it :) But I hope you had a nice holiday ^^ So, how was it ? :)

Yes, my exams are over, like finally. x)
It's okay, you can reply me whenever you want :) I'm a bit lazy too and that's why I'm not online on MAL often :/

Hmm, there is nothing different going on, next Friday holiday is starting so I'm just excited about that. After a long time, I went outside with my friends, so I was happy. :) How's your life ? Anything different going on ? Take care till' we talk again. :)
Nimesya Dec 21, 2012 7:41 AM
Thanks for understanding. :)
Yup, I did. And I have still 11 exams to take. --' Ikr, it is crazy. I feel very exhausted after I take 10 exams xD Oh, 4 exams ? Well you are lucky, but they must be hard too. I hope you will get good marks. :) We have 30 exams for one semester. Since we have 2 semester, we take 60 exams. But it changes from department to department. We have 4 departments in total, and the department I'm in has lots of exams. :/

I see. Maybe I'll try watching Zetsuen. Winter holiday is coming anyways. Well, you should watch it when you time. I really like it, it has 11 episodes so far. :)

Yup, still so busy as well lol ._.

ToG has been good. A lot of new developments. I want to know where that Emile will fit in.
The regular Quant and Ro will be investigating will be Baam most likely. Probably won't see Urek again for a while though.
Devil Hand and the live Ignition weapons..we'll find out about Baam's lobster as well finally~
Workshop battles will start soon, how long till Baam reunites with his former team I wonder.
Still need o find out about the Red Light district and the significance of the ring that Wangnan and Karaka has.
Just gets better lol, still the unanswered questions go on lol.

I do read other web toons, but I'm way behind on them all except Noblesse right now.

Well in my free time I'm usually watching Football or F1 when it's on, out shopping or with friends or family, playing games, watching movies. I do go to a lot of shows and concerts provided I can get the tickets as well. Otherwise listening to music and chillin at home, or reading (not manga books).
Nimesya Dec 12, 2012 2:00 PM
Hello there. :] How have you been ?
I'm very sorry for the late reply. I have been very busy with my exams as I told you, and I didn't do anything but study all these time ._.

Thank you :] Hm, I'm a bit exhausted since I took 17 exams. x) Well, there is biology , physics, chemistry, math, geometry, history etc. xD

Oh I see. I didn't watch them. So, what do you think of them so far ? Well, I'm watching Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun from time to time, and I really like it. It's sweet. I started watching Girls und Panzer, but I can't say something about it for now. It's interesting, I'll see how it goes. And I'm watching Kamisama Hajimemashita. Do you watch any of them ? :)

Lol, yup. :] Well, I'm glad that you had fun. :)
yunoholic Nov 15, 2012 7:01 PM
