Long-time lurker finally deciding to come out of the shadows. I write as a hobby and considering my interests, MAL seemed like a great place to practice my craft. My list is currently pitiful, but, barring a horrific hand injury, should be duly remedied.
I enjoy a wide range of anime. Action. Comedy. Horror. Romance. Music. Lolis. Like most, there's anime that I hated that everyone else loved and anime that I loved that everyone else hated. I enjoy discussion, am always looking for recommendations, and won't judge if you're into something really gross, so throw me a message any time.
Non-weeabo related interests include classic rock and heavy metal (think late 60s through early 80s), fantasy novels, movies, beer, hockey, Canada, maple syrup, poutine, etc.

I've already started the series and can pretty easily see that it isn't the pile of dog poo that people make it out to be, and your review made that very same point quite clear to anyone who may be completely unacquainted with it.
