Congratulations, I did find the Dark Horse omnibus for the first part long ago but never could find the second one despite seeing it in B&N before my active manga collecting obsession! I agree that it's best to find old shoujosei manga and hopefully for bargain price, I've been really into finding obscure and short manga which can have said bargain prices at times (e.g. Fairy Cube, Flower of the Deep Sleep, X-Day)... I just recently thought about how amazing it really is if a story can manage to be so good in a short amount of time/pages, so I've been looking for those for finding examples of short but sweet series too.
Like this is a new release so it's not out of print, but I was so impressed with the first volume of Alice in Kyoto Forest that I immediately got my own copy of both volumes (I read the first one from a library) and even got another for a friend who I think would love it as much as I might (...still haven't finished it haha...). Sometimes it gets me thinking "how did you win me over so fast?!?", ya know? XD

Finding old but potentially gold manga to read also gives me potential ideas for making fan art to bring attention to underappreciated series too :P
