No worries, I am always looking for a nice chat :>

Steins; Gate is one of my all time favorite Animeseries. It is such a perfect show. I cant explain why. Also I did drop it after the first 2 episodes.

The slow pacing during the beginning, the good introducing of all the characters, the very great characters by theirselves, the freaking amazing story about timetravelling and the dialogues made it to perfect show. And not to forget the unforgetable Opening!!!!

It has got its complexity, you are right. Even after finishing the movie (and I love the movie!) I havent got all the answers at all. And by reading through the topics I even found some new questions! Questions I did have not got before!

I am totally with you. Since Steins; Gate I am very interested into time travelling and theories to it. For example I love the movie Interstellar because of the reference to black holes and time travelling.

And the lovestory of okabe ... <3 I really dont want to see Steins; Gate 0 cause it will play in a timeline Okabe couldnt rescue his love...

Durarara!! was something I have not expected to be. It was good, I did enjoy every episode of it, but it was kinda confusing and sometimes a little bit tedious. But the dialogues and the characters are a blast!!! And the way of telling the story is such genius. Its something new. Also I am looking forward to the other seasons. I have given 8/10 because I would have loved to see some more plots and twists.

I can't wait until they get the 4th season up. I was actually surprised how good a volleyball anime could be because to be honest, I didn't even like volleyball that much in the first place (mostly because the volleyball players would steal the court when I play basketball :P).

As for Tsukishima, I actually kind of liked him the whole way through mostly because he looks exactly like one of my friends in real life. I feel like if my friend was an anime character, he would be Tsukishima. When I first saw him I was actually laughing because of the resemblance. But Tsukishima definitely had a lot of really good character development through the series as you said. BTW I legit had chills when Tsukishima finally showed some emotion after that block in the last match.

Yea it was the same with me when I first started watching Clannad. At first I was a bit skeptical about the show and really wasn't feeling it until later on but when it did hit me, it hit me very hard. Like I was legit depressed for a long while after finishing it and it had me contemplating my own life. :P Btw, I have watched Forest Gump though and it definitely was amazing. It had such a good blend of comedy, action and the feels. Especially when Bubba died in Vietnam and Forest continued on with Bubba dream of making the shrimp shop.

As for Haikyuu, I really enjoyed that series a lot. Oikawa was easily my favorite character of the series. His personality was just so awesome how he just straight up looks sinister looking one second to a goofy kid the next. And the Last 2 matches between Oikawa's team and Shiratorizawa were so freaking intense! I just got so hyped watching those matches and I really hope they have another season of Haikyuu soon. :)

I haven't watched Hachi but I have heard of it. I don't really watch too many movies that give you the feels because I don't want to get depressed afterwords (Dammit Clannad...). :P

However, there was this one good movie called "It's a Wonderful Life" which you may have seen or heard of but I really liked that movie. I watched it in my film class in high school and basically watched a bunch of old movies in that class but this one was probably among my favorites that gave me the feels.

To be honest, I don't really like how most schools go about teaching foreign language. Most of what they have students do is just a lot of reading and writing but it I feel like it doesn't really help all that much. However, I did have a really good Spanish teacher my final two years learning Spanish. She was really understood how to teach Spanish and was really fun as well. She had us sing popular Spanish songs, play games in Spanish, and we even watched a Spanish TV series called El Internado (without subtitles of course) but it was really good. I learned so much more Spanish from those 2 years with that teacher than the other 4 years put together and she easily became one of my most favorite teachers.

That would be really nice to be by the beach a lot. Here in Arizona we don't have any beaches and it's a desert. It gets ridiculously hot in the summer and surprisingly cold in the winter. If anything I would like to move to a city near the ocean because it is just really nice and refreshing. Anyways, I am really glad I quit that summer job but I got a new one as an office clerk at a Sunday school and it is a really chill job. I basically mess around all day with my coworker and eat free lunch so its a pretty decent job.

And yeah, one day I would like to take a visit to Japan as well but I'm broke as hell. :P Also, when I quit my job at the call center, I kind of stopped learning Japanese, because I remembered how time consuming it was to learn a new language because I took 3 years of Spanish classes in middle school and another 3 years of Spanish in High school and I am still not that good at it. I mean, if I see a paragraph in Spanish online I could probably comprehend at least 70% of it but here in Arizona there are a lot of Spanish speakers here and there were times where they spoke to me in Spanish and my responses were so bad. :P

That's good at least that were able to chill every once in a while. For my job though, I used to work in a call center and it was a pretty fasted-pace setting. You basically sit at computer for for several hours at a time taking phone call after phone call. Of course, in the early morning hours and weekends, it wasn't that busy but it got kind of boring because you weren't allowed to use your phone and were very limited on surfing the web as well. However, I did overcome that boredom because I decided to learn a little bit of Japanese on my free time over there so it wasn't that bad.

WOW 10am to 10pm is a pretty rough schedule. I probably wouldn't be able to do that myself so that is impressive that you managed. The worst I did was when I had a summer job and worked 5am to 2:30pm. It was mostly rough for me because I am not a morning person. I typically get up around noon so that was pretty rough for me but there would be no way I could do that 10am-10pm schedule almost everyday like you did.

And yeah, engineer is pretty tough, but all engineer really is just problem solving which I am not the best at. :P I thought about maybe doing something in the medical field but that is insanely difficult and time consuming.

By the way, i see that you have been watching Barakamon recently. How's the series so far? :)
SlimShadi Jan 22, 2017 2:17 PM
Well... for me personally, when I first started uni, it was pretty rough and thought that I might actually fail a class. However, looking back on it now, it actually wasn't that bad. After a few weeks I got the hang of things and established a good rhythm to get my work done and also have time to myself.

In the beginning, I so stressed to the point where I stayed up really late at night trying to finish an assignment and even had dreams where I was trying to do my school work. After a while it got the hang of it. As long as you pace yourself and don't fall behind you should honestly be fine.

There is actually one guy in my group who actually works as a police officer full time on night shift and is a full time engineering student as well. When I heard that from him, I considered myself lucky and realized that some people have it extremely difficult.

Anyways though, my best advice to you would honestly be to start your assignments early and frequently meet up with your professors if you ever need help with anything. :)

Yeah, senior year can be rough for most people because after that your off on your own. For me though, I was pretty ahead on my studies and even took some college classes when I was in high school, so for senior year, I basically took a bunch of the easiest classes and got a chill year. Looking back on it, it may have not been a good idea for me to do that because when I got to university, things got exponentially harder and I really had to dedicate a lot of my time to school and I wasn't prepared for that.

For you though, I think you should be just fine in Uni, because your already studying pretty hard and you are pretty used to it. :)
SlimShadi Jan 19, 2017 10:09 PM
Yeah, it is kind of the same way with me when I watch anime. That's why I waited until my winter break to watch Hunter x Hunter (2011) so I could marathon it without having to worry about school and such. Back in my senior year of high school, I was easily able to marathon really long shows such as One Piece, Naruto, and Dragon Ball because all my classes were extremely easy and I didn't really have that much to do. Nowadays, I can only pull off a good marathon when I have break so that is when I tend to save watching longer running series.
SlimShadi Jan 18, 2017 9:08 PM
Yeah, I am definitely enjoying Haikyuu at the moment but I am taking a quick break after finishing season 1 to read the Berserk manga (which is freaking incredible) and I will definitely start season 2 after finishing it up. :)

As for Kuroko no Basket, it is very similar to Haikyuu. Since you liked Haikyuu, it is very likely that you will enjoy Kuroko no Basket. Both anime have high school teams competing for a tournament and everyone has their specialties. To be honest, it may even feel like a copy and paste between the two anime but the only thing different is the sport, however, I still think it is worth watching because it is really good. I guess I am also kind of biased because I really love basketball as well. :D
SlimShadi Jan 14, 2017 12:40 PM
I will definitely give Nana a try one of these days so thanks for some insight on the series. And typically I don't mind if the art is a little weird at times and I kind of like it when I see some unique artstyles. For example Gurren Lagann probably is my favorite type of art style and there isn't many series that resemble that style. Kill la kill is kind of similar to Gurren Lagann but not quite exactly but the art was still good.

Even if I do dislike the art style I tend to grow accustomed to it fairly quickly and it was kind of the way I was with One Piece (GOAT ANIME). At first I thought the art was that good however, the story overshadowed all its flaws and it quickly became my favorite series.

As for Haikyuu, I am really enjoying it so far. The story is kind of similar to Kuroko's basketball but thats a good thing because I liked that series as well. I always feel pumped up when watching the show and it makes me want to go out and play basketball. I guess most sports anime would give me that vibe but regardless it is really good.
